Valet parking lost my car keys. Valet is sadly mandatory in this facility. I wish they had just regular parking

Nice hotel and good amenities. Parking is absurd. $65/day is just awful. We will not be back due to the parking fees.

Great common spaces to meet up. Coco coffee shop on first floor excellent. Stoke restaurant definitely worth the stop.

The hotel has a great atmosphere with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was a nice concierge room with a city view. The loung had great snacks and was nice to have when you don't feel like going out or want a great place to relax. I only wish they had a pool. Also parking is around $50 a night.

This property was very close to the concert venue so we were within walking distance. The valet parking process at check in was horrible. I think it was just the mass amount of people checking in at the same time but it was not good. The elevators were very slow and congested. We were on the 16th floor so the wait was long.

Valet prices are ridiculous $69 a day . The hotel stated it’s controlled by the city but the Marriott 2 hotels down was only $48 I thought about switching hotels because that’s highway robbery. They have the nerve to ask for a tip after 1 day of getting my vehicle

Nestled a few blocks from Spectrum Center makes it easy to walk for concerts/games. Valet parking is required $60 per night) because of the nature of city parking so be prepared Friday-Sunday around check-in time, cars easily back up onto the street as the valets try and accommodate all the arrivals. Check-in was easy, elevators are kind of slow and depending if there is a full house, you might wait a few rides before catching an elevator. Our room was clean and updated. AC worked great! The shower head was amazing! Full pressure from a rain shower head with hot hot water (if desired). Bathroom has a frosted barn door which does not block bathroom sounds so just keep that in mind because there is no exhaust fan to muffle sounds. Our mini fridge froze/exploded our drinks- check the temp gauge and then proceed with caution. Beds were comfortable and overall it was a very nice stay.

Convenient location downtown. Lobby can be very busy and hotel takes event parking making walking out through the front a little dicey. M Club staff and housekeeping were fantastic. Elevators are slow, a few creak loudly and don’t stop level with the floor, 2 of the six are only for parking garage and at least one other was out of service- there was a line to go up in the mornings and evenings. Very comfortable lobby. Range of food choices within walking distance. Walking around at night is very different than day- often homeless people panhandling by hotel entrance and taking shelter in Lynx train stop. Room door had to be pulled hard to shut making it hard not to slam and you could hear other doors slamming at all hours. Furniture needs a refresh- scratched and faded. Beds are very comfortable. Flooring in bathroom is not caulked at walls or tub- even being careful we had water run off into gaps and our ceiling had water damage lining up with where the same problem was happening above us. Front desk people, 2 ladies running M Club, housekeeping staff, and common area cleaners were all exceptional. M Club upgrade was definitely worth it. Gym is well equipped and has a spinning room and yoga/ stretch area with on demand video classes. Would have liked a pool or ability to use pool at other Marriott hotel. Good experiences with in-house dining (Stoke) and cafe (Director and Coco).

Conveniently located. Room could have used a really good cleaning (floors swept and mopped, features wiped down). Smelled funny no matter how much I cleaned (and I cleaned every day). Food options were adequate but not varied. Wasn’t informed what the M club was or its benefits.

Marriott City Center is a good place to stay in a great location. Front desk, bell services and valet were all excellent. Only had a single issue - a big cockroach in our bathroom!!!

Checking was confusing because of parking. Valet says there’s only valet parking but front desk says no parking. We finally figured it out. Room had zero view of uptown Charlotte which was disappointing because it was my wife’s B day. Shower head had zero pressure. We literally had to stand against the wall to have water hit us. Finally I found a long black hair inside of the bath towel when I unfolded it. I know it can happen but this was enough to rate my stay 2 stars

In my room near the bathroom, I noticed peeling paint on the ceiling. It appeared to be from water damage from a leak.

Amazing hotel very clean

I loved the location of the property. You can literally walk just about everywhere from this central location. The places we did uber to were still close as well. The hotel was clean, I would say quiet, but you could hear just about everything in the room next door, especially from the bathroom. Otherwise, it was a great stay and no issues at all.

Hotel was great, our room was very loud. I’m not sure if it was surrounding guests or the elevator but we heard everything.

Expedia rated this as 4 stars but it did not feel like a 4 star experience. There was Valet parking which is nice. The room looked clean besides a stain on the desk chair. The tv only had Netflix, YouTube, and cable tv. I thought I would be able to sign into Prime Video and watch my shows but I couldn’t. The toilet made a loud noise after using it and had to call front desk service to have it fixed. We were most disappointed with the restaurants food and service. We had food delivered to the room. The food wasn’t hot and didn’t taste well. They also couldn’t even get the order right. Lastly we booked for 3 people and only had two set of towels. We did get a lot of complimentary water and a late check out. The staff was nice and friendly.

We had a great room and experience. The only fault was the bathroom door was not an actual, sealable door. I was surprised that a Marriott would have a glass barn door for a bathroom separation.

Great location to everything downtown and the staff was friendly. Our room was a little on the small side. I forgot lotion and there wasn't any in the room, but that's a 1st world problem. Overall, we would stay here again!

Great hotel. Beds were a little small in the double room for the 3 of us. Next time will get a bigger room.

It’s a nice property. Standard rooms. Although paint is chipping off the ceiling in my room. Lots of street noise late at night . Cars racing , music , gun shots .

Beds too small

Good place to stay. Only cons: thin walls, could hear our neighbors at midnight. Also when you turn the TV on it says connect to our WiFi to cast. I spent forever trying to do so and also paid to upgrade the internet. When I finally called downstairs the man said oh we haven’t had casting since I started here. Upset I wasted so much of my time.

Room was well appointed and clean. Climate control system was loud and never shut down or changed blowing speed once temp was reached. The room had a consistent vibration that randomly increased. Needless to say sleep was not restfull. The shower had a fixed head that me the option of standing at either end of the shower if i didn't want to get pounded in the face. The shower had very poor drainage and within a minute i was ankle deep in water. Parking was a nightmare sunce it is valet only once you pull into the hotel. It took 25 minutes just to get into the driveway of the hotel. The valets were busting thier butts, good on them, but there was no control in the driveway area of incoming and out going patrons. It took us 30 minutes just to get out of the drive when we left and it only because other patrons stopped incoming patrons from pulling into the driveway. Be prepared to wait a long time or find a publuc pay lot nearby and walk to hotel. Nightly fee for valet, total, was $68.09. Overall, not happy with Marriott and we left a day early.

Noise from street. They need to upgrade their windows to make the rooms more soundproof

My father was diagnosed with cancer so I couldn’t make it to Charlotte, but I wasn’t refunded. I’m out almost $500. I tried to cancel over 48 hours in advance. Terrible service.

Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean and well-appointed. Parking price was outrageous for overnight guest $60. Would think discount for guest would be offerred.

Do not book here. You might not have a room. When I showed up at the hotel. Check-in lady looked at my ID and made 2 phone calls immediately. Within 30 seconds a security guard shows up and then she tells me i have to wait for the manager. They oversold their hotel (I was told by another hotel they do this all the time and always way more rooms then they should). Manager told me they were trying to get me another hotel and were going to send me to a lower quality. Luckily were able to book at nicer hotel, so thats why gets 1 star instead of 0. No phone call text or email. Thats shady practices.

Hotel was busy due to the Metallica concert but was clean and comfortable. When I went to check in the front desk person completely ignored me and tended to the person that jumped the line. When he left, she looked at me and then to the person standing behind me. I thought she was going to skip me again but fortunately she didn’t. Kind of shocked it happened at a Marriott. Usually service is better than that.

Easy check in & out. The only issue was the slow elevator at checkout

The staff was great and super helpful. I arrived a few hours early and was able to check in right away. I was only in town for 1 night, so I will definitely make sure I stay at this Marriott the next time I'm in town for a longer stay.

we arrived around 12, & assumed it would be unlikely that our room would be available for check-in. the associate that helped was efficient & responsive, & informed me we could get into a corner king but when I asked if that included a sofabed, she said no, so I opted to wait for the room booked which (according to the information I reviewed) had a king bed & a sofabed. when we arrived back at the hotel after 5pm, we were given a room, & once opening the door I called down as there was not a sofabed. I was told that room didn't have one, wasn't offered a solution, but when I asked about a rollaway bed, she confirmed that would be sent up. I asked then if we needed to be present to receive it & was told no. At 8pm when we came back after dinner, there was still no bed. I tried to call & just got a busy signal, so went back downstairs to ask about the bed. I was told it was on it's way. After another 25 minutes, phone still was a busy signal, went back downstairs, and told the same. I begged if there was anywhere I could go to get it as I had a 4 y.o. that was very tired & really needed to get to bed. another 15-20 min before the bed arrived. a technician was sent up to look at our phone after I shared in my last visit that was why I kept coming in person. tech arrived right after the bed came & at that point just needed to get him to bed (at least THAT was timely!). NINE hours to get a bed in a room is UNACCEPTIBLE & not what I expect of Marriott (esp with bonvoy status!)

The property was average; however I wold highly recommend training for your front desk staff. Three of us checking in at once waited in line while one staff did nothing and watched. Ask 3 different staff at front desk to help with directions to theatre that was 0.2 miles from the hotel. Two of the 3 used their phones to look it up and still sent us in the wrong direction. We almost missed the event. Very disappointing….will try Grand Bohemian next trip.

We did not stay as we were told the hotel was overbooked. There was no room for us.

Overcharged $483 pending With no explanations On top of of $687 from Orbitz $96 for parking making my stay total $1266 For two nights . Just an apology So bank account in shambles despite it being pending .. I was told incidentals were $75 a night . They didn’t even comp the parking for their mistake. So I have to wait 5 to 7 days for money they weren’t authorized to take in the first place . Not cool

The location is perfect for events at BoA Stadium and downtown dining. While they offer valet parking from the circular driveway in front of the hotel, it was constantly jammed with inbound and outbound vehicles. A bit noisy with street traffic, but that's to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend the stay.

The Marriott City Center is conveniently located in Uptown Charlotte, walking distance from the financial district, restaurants, bars, museums, and galleries. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming, guest rooms are spacious and clean, and the hospitality suite is well stocked - though unattended. Valet parking conveniently links directly to cell phones, and parking attendants are polite and work quickly to get vehicles in and out.

Great location

This was a good location for access to the football stadium and to the other locations I went to. I do not get a car so I walk where I can and I could walk every I needed to. And I felt safe at any time of day or night.

Very lush and accommodating…. Right in the heart of downtown Charlotte. Restaurants, museums, right at your fingertips!

Although it was a very busy weekend at the hotel the staff was friendly, efficient and helpful Liked that the hotel is walking distant to restaurants and other attractions

Very poor breakfast, not many options and no gluten free bread. We had to go somewhere else for breakfast. No help to get the luggage out of the car into our room.

M club lounge food quality should improve cuz it’s Marriott not Residence Inn.

I will most definitely stay at this hotel again. The restaurant breakfast was amazing, and the hotel is within walking distance of everything in the downtown area.
