The parking lot, simply put, sucked. Unless you have a mini or a smart car, have fun. The lady that checked me in had the personality of a dead fish. I asked her for more coffee, she rummaged around and told me all they had up front was decaf. Even tho I saw the regular coffee in the same drawer. Ok, whatever. Got to the room, the entire area in front of the door, and in the front part of our room, and in the bathroom smelled like cigarettes. Then, the Heat/AC unit in the room whined all night. Literally. Whined. It was mechanical. It wasn’t something like a leaf caught in it or something like that. It’s convenient to the interstate, there are gas stations and food around, but outside of that, pay another hundred and bite the bullet. Stay somewhere nicer.

I was very disappointed. The room does not have any USB charges in the room (everywhere I've stayed the rooms have been updated with this feature), the coffee in the breakfast room that was supposed to be bold was weak. The eggs were very salty, the sausage was luke warm, and the general appearance was very mediocre. There was duct tape in the hallways holding the carpet down. I've stayed in Fairfield Inns all over the country and I would rate this one at or near the bottom.

Check in was easy, clerk was pleasant. Room was mostly clean, just a few hairs in the tub. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast ok, they could use a second waffle maker as there was a line every morning for the one they had. Pool was dirty with leaves with no change in 3 days we were there; seems to be ignored. All staff was friendly and pleasant. Overall, it was a good stay and we would stay here again.

Staff was not necessarily rude but definitely not friendly. Pool was closed for inspection, then opened for one day and the following day after being in pool area for 5 minutes was “closed” again for repair. Curtains in room were stained, will never book again.

Hotel is not in same condition as other Fairfield inns. Budget level quality. The first room smelled like strong urine upon entering. Requested a different room, smelled better at first, then started having some urine smell too. The receptionist was kind enough to let us switch room, but later on she no longer wanted to look up as we walked by, very obvious. The lady in charge of breakfast was very nice.

The 1st room given to us had stains on the bed sheets and a dirty bed skirt. The bathroom had what looked like mold in certain areas and rust spots in the tub. The staff was pleasant and accommodating but the condition of the rooms and furniture is under par. The furniture was shabby dingy and in some areas falling apart. I’ve seen better on the street. It says they serve breakfast but Sunday they served boiled sausage patties and eggs on Monday no breakfast was served at all or it was over before 9am and I believe at 9am it’s still breakfast time. 10am would be standard to end breakfast. Upon arrival they charged me another $20 per night for “incidentals” not sure what that was for. If I had been able to get my money back I would have left the 1st night. I will be hesitant to trust deals thru Expedia going forward, especially if when I get to the hotel I’m going to be charged something more than what I booked for. There was a better hotel across the street that was listed for $30 more a night but I chose Fairfield because of a bogus rating and to save a few bucks. I would say you get what you pay for! But I certainly did not.

Very noisy, property needs to be renovated. The price of the rooms don't match the looks of the hotel. Very disappointing. Its giving motel 8 rather than a partnership of marriot. Rooms seemed to be first come first served. Paid for my king size bed room in advanced. Got to the hotel and the staffed informed that only room was left was a king handicap room.

Friendly staff. Very clean. Convenient and quiet location, easy on/off for the highway, and close to restaurants and stores. Our first room was next to an equipment room so it was quite loud (not the staff's fault, just poor judgment on whoever designed the layout of the building/rooms but staff moved us down the hall to a much quieter room which was much better. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Would stay again.

Check in was great! Front staff was very nice and quick . Great location to Bank of America Stadium. But that’s about all I have to say good . I always check reviews but this was not a 8.8 in my opinion. The hall and room wreaked of cigarettes it was nasty. The bathrooms and rooms are severely outdated. Shower dripped all night long. Towels were something you get from dollar store. Beds were not comfortable. TV size of computer screen. It worked for a quick one night stay but for the price and rating I expected way better comfortable stay! Would not stay here again

We stayed for 2 nights and never received fresh towels or wash cloths. Had to ask for toilet tissue. they never changed the sheets or emptied the trash. When we arrived the person at the front desk was on her cell phone and ‘didn’t see us’ for a couple of minutes. We had 3 guests and she didn’t see us.

Place was quite, not crowded, and the staff was above and beyond. The condition of the place was a little worn down but it wasnt awful. They had breakfast and the selections was good, but the quality of the food wasn't the best.

Checking was not very welcoming. The man was on the phone a long time with another guest. I waited. He got off the phone and seemed inconvenienced by me. The reservation was under my husbands name(who was in the car) and he said he didn’t need to come check in, then he wanted him to. We are married, have never had this happen before. We booked a regular king and we’re given an ADA King and I asked why we did not get the room booked. He said, “It’s the same thing”. He was not very nice or welcoming. The rest of the stay was good. Comfortable bed, good breakfast and all other staff was very nice. Hotel was very plain and basic, no frills.

My daughter and l had not booked a hotel and we didn’t realize it until we arrived to the city of our destination all the surrounding hotels we booked we noticed heavy traffic and parking it was after 12:00 mid night ;I finally asked a staff member why were all the hotels full , I was told it was a game tournament going on for the weekend. When I went on line Fairfield had an opening we booked it . We were exhausted. The staff welcomed us with a refreshing smile so late into night, our rooms were clean beds were so comfortable .. everything were perfect! Plus I get BonVoy points. Best Hotel! We shall return. Thank you

Friendly staff. Very clean. Convenient and quiet location, easy on/off for the highway, and close to restaurants and stores. Our first room was next to an equipment room so it was quite loud (not the staff's fault, just poor judgment on whoever designed the layout of the building/rooms but staff moved us down the hall to a much quieter room which was much better. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel… It was clean and the beds were comfortable.. The breakfast was amazing… The location was decent, I had drive about 20 to 25 minutes to the places I wanted to go.. I would stay here again.

Place was quite, not crowded, and the staff was above and beyond. The condition of the place was a little worn down but it wasnt awful. They had breakfast and the selections was good, but the quality of the food wasn't the best.

Clerks were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good - fresh fruit, too! Room was clean,quiet and bed very comfortable. We have stayed here before and will continue to do so!

So many things wrong. Most importantly the air conditioning did not work, any where on property. Room was not clean ( ice bucket was dirty and trash on floor). Very thin towels. Breakfast was not edible.

The 1st room given to us had stains on the bed sheets and a dirty bed skirt. The bathroom had what looked like mold in certain areas and rust spots in the tub. The staff was pleasant and accommodating but the condition of the rooms and furniture is under par. The furniture was shabby dingy and in some areas falling apart. I’ve seen better on the street. It says they serve breakfast but Sunday they served boiled sausage patties and eggs on Monday no breakfast was served at all or it was over before 9am and I believe at 9am it’s still breakfast time. 10am would be standard to end breakfast. Upon arrival they charged me another $20 per night for “incidentals” not sure what that was for. If I had been able to get my money back I would have left the 1st night. I will be hesitant to trust deals thru Expedia going forward, especially if when I get to the hotel I’m going to be charged something more than what I booked for. There was a better hotel across the street that was listed for $30 more a night but I chose Fairfield because of a bogus rating and to save a few bucks. I would say you get what you pay for! But I certainly did not.

Last minute booking for the 4th of July! The hotel definitely met our needs. The only criticism is that they represented having a full breakfast! They did have a few things to offer but not what I would consider a full hot breakfast!

When I arrived, my room was not cleaned. After checking in it still wasn't really cleaned but we made it work because it was so late. The smoke detector kept going off which made it impossible to get rest. Called the front desk just for them to lie and say they were coming and never came. The tv channels were not working. Breakfast was cold. Front desk guy in the morning didn't show much concern and letting to take the blame off them. One of the worst Marriott experiences I ever had.

Upon arrival, we learned that the pool was closed and unavailable for guest use. Hotel staff informed us that the property was still awaiting an inspection. While we were offered access to a sister property’s pool approximately 10 minutes away, this was not a practical substitute for an amenity that was advertised as being available on-site. Given the extremely hot temperatures during our stay in North Carolina, access to the pool was one of the amenities we specifically looked forward to using. Having to leave the property and drive to another location significantly diminished the convenience and value of our stay. In addition, the overall condition and cleanliness of the room fell well below the standard I have come to expect from a Marriott property. The room appeared dated and in need of updating. There were multiple stains on the walls, hair present in the shower upon check-in, and noticeable stains on the curtains. These issues created the impression that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned or properly maintained prior to our arrival. I have stayed at Marriott properties throughout the United States, South America, and Europe, and one of the reasons I continue to choose Marriott is the consistency of the guest experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not reflect the level of quality, cleanliness, or attention to detail that I have come to to associate with the Marriott brand. The condition of the room significantly impacted our overall experience and enjoyment.
