Portofino Inn Burbank

Nice big rooms. Breakfast super small, nothing hot really. Ice machine broken, staff super nice and filled ice bucket. Loved the chaise in the room.

Comfy place to stay. Free breakfast and free parking was a plus! Great staff and great location. Will stay again.

All rooms open to the outside, no hallways. There are two floors but no elevators. The rooms are clean and good sized with daily, good housekeeping. While close to the street the traffic noise is minimal to none. Rooms have a large screen TV with cable, a microwave and a minifridge. The bath area is okay but the tub could use a grab bar or two. The breakfast is not hot, unless you count the toaster, but okay. The coffeee is good.

Checkin was great, gave good directions, was clean. Property is older, so a bit run down but felt safe. Ice machine never worked and housekeeping kept taking our clean extra towels, other than that, would stay here again.

All good. Easy in and out with free self parking within the middle of the motel.

Stayed for 2 nights on trip to Universal Studios. This hotel was perfect! Quick 10 minute, straight shot drive to the park! Hotel has free parking, and the office stays open late. They serve a continental breakfast of cereal, breads, bagels, yogurt, cuties, and coffee or juices. The rooms are no frills but the were clean! The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was great! Good price for the area! Will definitely stay here again!

We needed a centrally located property. Portofino Inn was clean and safe with free parking and breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. It was an easy drive to Warner Brothers Studios and Universal Studios. Lots of shopping/restaurants and Costco a mile away. There were also restaurants across the street. Thank you for a great stay!

The hotel itself is fine. Clean, lots of parking and the AC works well. I am a furnace so I requested a fan, which they didn’t have. The manager went out and bought one, so after two hot nights I slept much better. That was very much appreciated. The ice machine broke, but the front desk staff personally went and got me ice each night for me to have my Pellegrino with ice. Again, much appreciated. Decent hotel with excellent service. Good for budget conscious families. And a short drive to Portos Bakery - the highlight of Burbank for us.

The room was clean. The air conditioner was way too loud and not that effective. There was no ice machine. We had to go to the front desk and have the guy go get us some ice from the neighboring restaurant and the cottontail breakfast was more carbs than anything else

Gross bed and shower. The bedsheet has stains, there were hair on the pillows already. There’s also hair on the shower before we use it. Overall when the property seems organize but I can’t believe they have dirty sheet and let the bathroom like that before guest check in. We arrive late and too tired to deal with it. Definitely not going back.

The room was very clean and neat-looking. Friendly person at the front desk. There is a light breakfast in the lobby. I will stay here again.

Great location. Nice amenities. I think this may be the nicest motor inn I’ve ever been! Nice very little breakfast. Coffee and juice available 24 hours. Room was clean and comfy. For what you get - may be a little pricey - but I’m noticing that everything in the LA area Is expensive!

The motel was clean!

After checking in I went into the room and could not believe how filty the room was. The pillows smeeled like man sweat, there was little pieces of poop in the toilet bowl, the carpet was dirty and I had to have the maid come back and vacuum the entire room. I opened the closet and the paneling fell off the bottom. I was very disgusted. I literally left and got another hotel room down the street. I could jot stay in a room that was so filty and unkept. Never afain.

We were in Los Angeles for a family event and to visit old friends, both in central LA and the SF Valley. The Portofino was well located for both areas. The property has a 'modest' look but the room was great, cleanliness was excellent, and breakfast offerings very satisfactory. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The towels were dirty and had hairs from previous visitors.

Clean rooms and enjoy that it was not too far from restaurants and shopping. Staff was nice and friendly as well.

Needs improvement curtains had stains, little couch had major stains and carpet needs replaced

For the price I shouldn't complain but the rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. The rooms can be noisy from the surrounding area and the water pipes made a lot of noise.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, although the pillows were pretty lumpy and hurt my neck a bit. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is decent, there was bagels, pastries, oatmeal, cereal and coffee. Walking distance to downtown Burbank. I stayed here to go to universal studios and it was pretty close and convenient. For the price it’s a step above others.

Property is ok. Pretty clean (though I dislike carpet, always makes me feel kinda dirty). Bed was lumpy. Pillows were REALLY lumpy. For the price it was fine.

Property was nice and staff was nice and very helpful. The only issue is that the water pressure in the room was very low but it is a great place for a quick weekend trip. Definitely would stay again

Fantastic 2 night stay. Friendly and welcoming. Room was nice and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable but mattress was quite worn down on the one side. Air conditioner was very noisy. All in all we still slept quite well.

We were pleasantly surprised. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and quite spacious. Would definitely stay again. Staff were fantastic and helpful as well.

This is a cute little two-story property with plenty of parking, next to a classic looking diner that’s used often in TV and movies as a restaurant set. Our room was spacious, the fridge and microwave worked great. The beds were comfortable, not super plush, but fine for a weekend. The facilities were well maintained, and the hospitality staff were friendly and efficient, even when we didn’t leave our room until after noon! We would happily stay here again the next time we’re in the Burbank area or going to see a show at the Hollywood Bowl.

The staff here are amazing - prompt response to needs that went above and beyond. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Subway across the street for sandwiches. Microwave and mini fridge in the room. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed here for 2 nights during our Disney-universal studios family trip. The location is very convenient to go to universal studios. Although it is small family run hotel but our stay at the hotel was very comfortable. The staff Eli and Alfredo went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. When we reached here from Disneyland, we checked in late and the kids went to sleep right away. I wanted to shower but found out that the water was very hot. The manager Eli asked me if we wanted to change room as the water couldn't be fixed until the morning. Since the kids were already sleeping and I didn't want to wake them up, so Eli gave me another room so I could shower without any extra charge and the water was fixed first thing in the morning. The complementary breakfast had a lot of variety (much more then we had other budget motels at Disneyland). The morning manager Alfredo was very accommodating too. My son wanted to eat peanut butter and even though not in the menu Alfredo went and brought us a small brand new container of peanut butter and asked us to keep it. Overall very happy with our stay. The beds were comfortable, rooms are very spacious with microwaves. Free parking right in front of my room. Altough the building is old but I would stay here anytime I visit this area again

Front desk manager is friendly and helpful. He is one of the reasons we come back.

The property was nice and clean. My room was clean as well. Only complaint is the shower head was old and outdated. The water was spraying everywhere. Thats my only issue with the room. Replace shower heads to newer ones. But other than than. I like that it had a mini fridge and microwave. Desk to eat at chair/sofa to sit on. My only other complaint was the night shift guy i think his name was mike. He was rude. And should not be working in customer service. I was leaving at 8:45 pm. And they were fliming the next day so they blocked off bunch spots with cones. And i saw only 2 empty spots available. So im like hmm let me pop in and see if there will be parking for when i return since i was gonna be out past 12. I popped in. Mike was on his laptop. No hi how's it going nothing. He seemed bothered that i was bothering him with a simple question. I said hey will there be parking when i return. Hes like uuhh probably. I didnt ask a probably question. It was a yes or no. Could have simply responded with yes. If there isnt we will make room for you or something. Im like well they said there will be parking for the quest to accommodate them filming. So i just wanted to make sure. And he replied with a smart remark uh yeah there filming tomorrow. He was just rude over all. And should not be in that position. Then the following day i left around 9pm. Hes staring out the door looking like a creep. He left with im assuming his gf for a late night walk like he wasnt at work to do a job

A hidden gem. Not fancy, not new, not glitzy, but perfect for a few nights, Alfredo and Anna as well as the entire front desk staff are exceptional and accomadating. Their customer service was top notch. I was in a handicapped room and would of appreciated a mat in the shower as it was a bit slick and I must be cautious of falls. I also felt the bed pillows could be upgraded :-) but all in all, two thumbs up!!!

The location of the Portofino Inn is incredible! It was within 30 minutes of everything we did, including the LA Zoo, the WB studio tour, the Hollywood Bowl, the La Brea Tar Pits, and the Griffith Observatory, with the zoo, the studio, and the Burbank airport just minutes away. We felt very safe there at all times of the day and night. The staff was very kind, and the hotel provided a generous continental breakfast. We will stay there again should we find ourselves in Burbank in the future.

It was the perfect affordable place to stay while attending a Hollywood Bowl concert. Walking distance to the shuttle was a huge plus. Descent restaurants within walking distance as well; neighborhood felt safe. Would stay again

This place was close to everything! Very centrally located and an easy commute to Hollywood and Universal Studios. Also, nearby shops, great restaurants, and stores.

Great place to stay when going to universal parks. Very conveniently located about 15 minutes drive to it. Quiet neighborhood with very close amenities such as subway and 7-11.

We enjoyed our stay at the Portofino Inn. Large room with comfortable bed and good bathroom Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff, breakfast available in reception. Good location and nice Italian restaurant around the corner for dinner.

Nothing fancy but quiet, clean, and convenient to major routes throughout Burbank, Glendale, Hollywood hills.

Hotel was cute and very clean. Breakfast was not spectacular but it was good and well stocked. Had a surprise with a famous dinner attached to the office. Very cool. Plumbing was not great

Convenient location, clean, but furnishings showed a lot of wear. I appreciated the well lit parking lot, and a good variety of breakfast choices.

Breakfast was not really breakfast, dry cereal, sugary yogurt, bagels, bananas, oranges and coffee lacking the coffee. There were no high protein cooked foods, low sugar or options for people who are lactose free.

The complementary breakfast seemed under valued by many of the guests. For us it saved a bundle, coffee was good , too.

The rooms were very clean and well kept! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The ice maker never made ice. Breakfast is limited with limited seating area.

The photos uploaded on line were either photoshopped or taken when it newly opened, probably years ago. They offer free breakfast from 7-10am, but when I checked out at 7:30am, hoping to have something to eat or drink, the office/dining area is still closed. The walls in between rooms are too thin that you can hear the noise from next door or on the second floor. The mattress needs to be replaced coz it's no longer comfortable to sleep on.
