We loved the Big Oak Cabin! It had everything we needed for a fun mother/daughter weekend. The beds were comfortable and the sectional couch was perfect for watching movies. The kitchen table was large enough for six of us and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. Loved the location being so close to downtown Black Mountain and a 10 min. drive to the grocery store, but it still felt like we were in the mountains.

Great house - perfect size for a family. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. Location was great for us. We spent one day in Black Mountain and then took a day trip to Hendersonville. Cabin was spotless and our kids enjoyed the yard.

Super clean, had everything we needed for our stay, including basic kitchen utensils and cookware items you need to make a full meal..and breakfast daily! Fire pit was great enjoyed a fire one evening with Hobo pies for dessert! Location was mins from Black Mountain area and easy access for day trips to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure and Biltmore! John was excellent with communication, if traveling to the area again we would definitely look to book again!

The cabin owners were very responsive and helpful. The cabin itself is exactly as pictured, but better. It was immaculate; not a spec of dust anywhere. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms were supplied with everything we needed. We especially enjoyed sitting around the fire pit with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing in Asheville. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Our family had such a wonderful time at this adorable cabin. John and Rachel were excellent hosts. We really enjoyed the fire pit and making s’mores. We also had fun playing board games. We visited Biltmore and it was an easy drive there. Highly recommend this place!!

We stayed 1 week at the cabin and loved so much about our stay. The fire pit was a nightly highlight. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked for someone who actually cooks (better than most other VRBO's we have used). Cold AC was great for sleeping at night. Kids loved having special bedrooms and their "own personal" bathroom upstairs. And the large capacity washer kept us in clean clothes despite lots of sweaty outings. John was quick with communication and very helpful. We will highly consider returning.

Our group of three adults and a two-year-old had a great time at this lovely cabin! It was super clean with comfortable beds, beautiful outdoor space, and great communication from the owners. We had other family members staying nearby, and all of the kids loved the swing set. The location is ideal for day trips to Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and surrounding areas. Black Mountain itself has good restaurants and shops, and Lake Tomahawk Park is great for kids.

We really enjoyed our weekend away! The Black Mountain/Asheville area is beautiful! The cabin is stocked with anything you will need and is VERY CLEAN! The host were wonderful to work with, and very responsive to messages! We will definitely be back!

This cabin is adorable, very clean and in a great location. Out of the busy part of town, but still really close to everything. Beds were comfortable and plenty of linens were provided. The owners were wonderful to work with and we will definately be renting from them in the future.

Close enough to everything but far enough away to feel like you’re in the sticks. :-) Host is a great communicator and answered our questions quickly. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Host didn’t give us a laundry list of chores to complete on our way out, which was a nice change. Can’t say enough good things about this property.

I could go on and on about this sweet cabin and it’s incredibly kind & communicative hosts! I took four fourteen year old girls to Black Mountain/Montreat for a week, and this cabin was our home base. Not only is it as charming as it looks in the pictures, but it’s absolutely spotless, comfortable and convenient. It’s stocked with books and games, had fantastic air conditioning, a TV in every bedroom and excellent WiFi (very important when traveling with teenagers😂). We didn’t run into any issues while we were there, but the hosts were so responsive to every message. I felt comfortable that they would’ve been on top of any issues had any come up. Long story short - I highly recommend this cabin. We didn’t want to leave!

The cabin was as described and was clean. We stayed over Christmas and the hosts had put up a tree which was really nice. Communications with the hosts was excellent. Black mountain is a nice area we would like to explore again.

We loved our visit to North Carolina and our stay in the mountains. The cabin was a perfect location, not too far up the mountain either and we were close to the downtown only a 6 minute drive! The cabin is gorgeous and everything we needed was in there! I recommend driving through the Blue Ridge Mountains which is close to our location. The views and waterfalls were breathtaking !

We loved the Big Oak Cabin! It had everything we needed for a fun mother/daughter weekend. The beds were comfortable and the sectional couch was perfect for watching movies. The kitchen table was large enough for six of us and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner. Loved the location being so close to downtown Black Mountain and a 10 min. drive to the grocery store, but it still felt like we were in the mountains.

What a great stay at a special cabin at Black Mountain. The owners were extremely communicative, kind and helpful and the cabin itself is well appointed, squeaky clean, and very comfortable. The cabin is a five minute drive to the charming town of Black Mountain, and it is also very close to Montreat where we enjoyed some world class hiking. I was tickled to find some extras, including dishwasher soap, laundry supplies and even a few spices, salt, pepper and olive oil. So many places do not keep anything extra with which to cook a simple meal so it was nice to have a few basics and to be able to run a load of laundry. They thought of everything, including puzzles, games and even various places to sit (in both in the back yard and the front porch). Even though it is close to town and in a neighborhood, the cabin feels private and quiet. We slept so well. Thanks for a lovely stay and for making it so easy to check in and out. We look forward to coming back.

My family and I stayed at Big Oak cabin for a wedding and were extremely impressed! The cabin itself was very clean and had everything we needed. Added touches with the bedding and decor were also a nice touch that made the cabin feel like home. It is also an easy drive to Asheville which made getting to and from wedding festivities a breeze! The hosts were quick to respond with any questions and made checking in/out effortless. Highly recommend this beautiful cabin!

The cabin’s location is great with easy access to downtown Black Mouuntain and easy to access I-40 to go to Asheville. The surrounding area has quiet neighbors and enjoyed our weekend. This visit was our second at the property and the owners are very responsive.

This cabin was perfect for our family’s spring break trip! The hosts were very communicative about the property. It was exactly as pictured and was extremely clean. Black Mountain was fun to explore, and it’s an easy 15 - 20 minute drive into Asheville. We would definitely stay again!

This property was exactly what was advertised on VRBO. It was spotless! The perfect choice for a girls getaway celebrating a big birthday. Very close to Black Mountain town center with cute shops and good restaurants. Close to Asheville and Montreat for hiking and other experiences. It was perfect for five women.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was exceptionally clean and quiet. It was perfectly located to downtown and easy access to the interstate. I was pleasantly surprised by the town; Black Mountain. Easy drive to Biltmore. I would visit again!
