I thought this hotel was off the beaten track, but it is across from a metro station, and the trains here run every 3 minutes or so, which meant I was not very far away from the art museums time-wise. My room was large, quiet and clean, and the front desk attendants were uniformly warm and helpful. The ambience was elegant without being opulent. There is a restaurant on site with a three choice menu. It is frequented by locals, which made me feel less of a tourist! Highly recommended!

The hotel is located near a main road, but it has not an extreme traffic. Just in front of the hotel there is a metro station and bus station, so you do not need a car or taxi to get anywhere in Madrid fast, even at night. On the other side of the street there is an Alcampo (spanish Auchan), good place to buy things of everyday spanish life, not the ones sold for tourists. At Plaza del Peru - some minutes of walk - there are good restaurants. The hotel has a classic style, the rooms can be opened by key and not card. The building is new, but stylish, it resembles the old spanish ones, it uses the roofed patio as a dining room. Breakfast was fine. My room was cosy and big compared to an average hotel room. There are just small problems I should mention. First, sound proofing. Fortunately, there is a minimal traffic in the street at night, it does not disturb sleeping, the noises from the corridor or tubes are not too strong near the bed, however, the music played daytime from speakers in the ceiling of the corridor is sometimes disturbing, too loud. The bubble bath presented in the photos did not work. However, the staff was very kind and helpful. I booked the room with continental breakfast but there were buffet breakfasts - I did not had to pay any extra fee. The real estimation of the hotel is 4 1, one minus for the technical problems hoped to be repaired at the next renovation and one plus for the staff and the service that is better than expectable. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately this hotel is not great. I’m unsure of the other ratings, especially those who remarked this hotel is quiet. All rooms face out into an atrium with a bar/restaurant. It was so loud in our room, we could hardly believe it. Everything echoed into our room, you could hear conversations and clanging of dishes late into the night, and then again early in the morning. Room itself was clean but uncomfortable bed. Location is across street from subway but it’s a long way into the museums, etc. We knew this when we booked this hotel- we waited to the last minute and there weren’t many other options, so we paid the inflated price for two nights here. Hard to imagine this is a four star hotel, it’s more like a two star. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Auf den zweiten Blick ist das Hotel allerdings arg heruntergewirtschaftet und bedarf dringend einer Renovierung. Positive anzumerken sind die großzügigen Zimmer. Das Frühstück war nach mitteleuropäischem Maßstab durchschnittlich, für Südeuropa ganz gut. Damit hört es aber auch schon auf. Leider überwiegen die negativen Punkte. Am meisten aufgestoßen ist mir, dass es konstant im Badezimmer nach Abfluss gestunken hat. Es half auch nichts, alle Abflüsse mit Wasser zu füllen. Der Duschkopf war zu niedrig, ich habe mit 1,87 nicht darunter gepasst. Das Fenster im Zimmer konnte man zwar weit öffnen, allerdings ließen sich die Vorhänge nicht vernünftig zur Seite schieben, so dass sie das Fenster immer wieder zudrückten. Im Zimmer gab es nur vier Steckdosen, so dass ich immer wieder Nachtleuchten, Deckenfluter, Wasserkocher und Ladegeräte umstecken musste. Leider auch nur diese blöden Antidiebstahl-Kleiderbügel. Ach ja, die Zimmerschlüssel sind noch herkömmliche Schlüssel mit einem großen Anhänger, den man nicht mal eben in die Hosentasche stecken kann. Fazit: Nicht zu empfehlen

A welcome change from the usual hotel layout, with a huge atrium surrounded by generous sized rooms

El hotel está muy cerca al metro y al frente se encuentra un supermercado. La habitación era grande y muy limpia. El personal es muy amable.

Hotel tranquilo limpio y con habitaciones amplias, colchón cómodo y almohadas. Buena temperatura. Estilo antiguo pero cuidado. La televisión pequeña.

Hotel muy cómodo, limpio, trabajadores serviciales, buen desayuno y cerca del metro.

All the staff are always smiling. And the bedding is clean. The water pressure in the bathroom is good. The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely come back here again when I visit Madrid.

No tenia papeleria dentro de habitacion, cama y ...estaban muy antigua, suelo no estaba limpia, no tenia condicional para pelo en baño, no estaba agua, y....

Perfecto todo como de costumbre. Habitación amplia, cama cómoda, limpieza impecable y una gran atención del personal. Magníficamente comunicado tanto para ir en coche particular como en transporte público. Parada de Metro en la puerta. A 10 minutos del aeropuerto, siempre que tengo que coger un vuelo de madrugada duermo allí.

The hotel is across the street to the metro and a supermarket. However, it is 30 min metro away (1 transition) to downtown area. Most difficult part is it does not have the AC during the night that was pretty hot even in April. We cannot open the windows as it is close to a main street. Since it is not in downtown, most restaurants are not open for dinner till 8 or 8:30pm.

es un hotel muy vistoso, da la impresión qe es antiguo, la única imperfección que observé en su momento, era el ruido tan espantoso que hacia el aire acondicionado, afortunadamente lo solucionaron, ya que provocó un susto muy fuerte.

La chica de la recepcion fue absolutamente amable, nos ayudo en todo. La habitacion super limpia, bien comunicada y nos dejaron entrar antes porque tuvimos un problema con el transporte. Un 10/10. Volveremos seguro

All the staff are always smiling. And the bedding is clean. The water pressure in the bathroom is good. The breakfast was delicious. I will definitely come back here again when I visit Madrid.

El desayuno mas caro de todo madrid 30 euros por persona. Y me trataron de cobrar dos veces este servicio.

This is a lovely hotel with helpful staff. It’s very convenient to the metro and to Chamartín train station. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding area is walkable and has conveniences such as cafes and a grocery store across the street. Highly recommend.

Great hotel, super friendly staff

Tuve una pésima experiencia al llegar con un retraso de dos horas de tren llegué, me habían cobrado la habitación y el conserje me empezó a retar por no haber avisado y que por eso me tenía que cobrar las 3 noches por adelantado!!!! Algo que iba en contra de lo ofrecido en la web y encima estaba enojado. Pésima forma de recibir a un huesped. Internet se cortaba constantemente en la habitación

Friendly staff and pretty and clean hotel which was conveniently located near a large supermarket which was very useful when the airline lost our luggage. Also conveniently located for the metro and bus. Walking distance to some nice restaurants and shops too.

One night layover on the longer travel, the stay was very pleasant. Hotel is nice, calm and conveniently located.

O hotel em geral é muito bom, o quarto é bem espaçoso e é localizado próximo a pontos de interesse. Tem um ponto de metrô e um supermercado gigante na frente, que da pra tomar café também. O que deve ser tomado cuidado, é com relação a pedir itens do cardápio. Se for pedir para trazer no quarto tem acréscimo do valor (que não tinha sido informado)
