Courtyard by Marriott Greensboro

Very nice stay, lobby is very nice. Has a nice coffee/breakfast bar and fireplace. Overall a great value.

Parking lot lighting was very poor !! The hallway lighting was very poor . The bath tub hadn’t been cleaned . Suspicious people hanging in the already dark parking lot. Wouldn’t recommend !!!

Not my favorite Courtyard- will not stay here again. Seems like an older building, weird smells here and there. Do not stay on road side otherwise you will hear sirens all night long- needs better windows apparently. Stayed for 2 night had them move my room second night- they were very helpful with that. Second night much quieter. Workout room had no cups for water and such an easy fix should never run out and the workout towels smell really bad. Housekeeping leaves the garage bags for small cans in room lying there-waiting for ME to put them in I guess? Water pressure super low in shower.

Check-in was difficult and I was not goven drections to my room. The luggage caddies are horribly designed, making it difficult to push/maneuver causing multiple trips in and out of my room and leaving my belongings alone/exposed in the hallway. I had to travel the length of borh wings of the hotel because of it. I had to change my room twice due to balcony door security issues (faulty latch). There was a damaged door handle at stairwell onthe first floor and dangerous (metalic bar w/smelly garbage) trash bag in the same. The bar/dining area was littered with trash under tables and had not been cleaned during my entire stay. The staff was attentive to my concerns, reporting and correcting all that was pointed out to them except what could not be physically corrected at the time. I did not notify them of the dirty dining area floor under tables. The property has good people with great attitudes, but training is needed as well as supervision in order that large and small details are addressed. The dity manager and bartender/server were very accommodating.

Everything was excellent. No problem checking in and out. Room was very nice and lobby/courtyard was very inviting.

Came to stay with my dogs and the area where they deemed for the dogs outside was disgusting and full of trash and not lit at night. Around the property there were needles by another tree. Truly not safe for dogs or people in general.

There was no wifi

This seems to be a distressed property. Restaurant was not open due to broken pipes with no indication of reopening. Room was not cleaned or towels replaced even though requested. Front desk representative apologized and said staff had not shown up and that they were understaffed in addition.

I didnt like that it says there are Hot Tubs when there is not. Whole reason i booked here was for the Hot Tub… 😐

Booked hotel to visit my son. Hotel lost power for a few hours in the night. No back up generator or it wasnt used. Otherwise hotel was fine.

Bathroom and room cleanliness was terrible given nightly rate. Water is $4.50 a bottle in the lobby, and none is provided upon arrival in the rooms. Not even a single bottle which is standard everyone including some motels. Truly poor.

The beds were comfy and clean. The shower and bathroom made my skin crawl. These areas were old fashioned and the shower was dirty. There was a long hair in the shower and stains throughout. My daughter didn’t even want to stand In it she laid a towel down on the shower floor. The hot cold indication on the bathroom sink spicket fell off while my daughter was brushing her teeth. But we were there only one night to go to an event at highpoint university. Convenient location for going to the school. Only a 20 min drive and plenty of restaurants all around the hotel. Wouldn’t stay again tho bc I’m very picky about cleanliness and although the beds and rest of the room was clean the dirty and old fashioned bathroom made me uneasy about how clean the room truely was.

This hotel needs a serious cleaning. It’s really dirty. Corners have dirt buildup, fingerprints in halls and elevator and carpets are disgusting.

I was here spending time with a very large group. Upon check-in, I was required to pay for my entire stay plus a DAILY incidental fee. I have NEVER had to do that at ANY hotel I've ever stayed in! This caused me a severe inconvenience. It also made me feel like I wasn't trusted to stay here. The drinks and food available at the hotel was very expensive and since there is no continental breakfast, we took our money elsewhere. Charging $40-60 more than the normal rate for this weekend and still not offering free continental breakfast is a huge opportunity lost for this hotel. Lesson learned for me because I travel alot and dont see this as being traveler friendly. My room had not been vacuumed because there was debris on the carpet and I ended up with straight blondish hair on my socks every day when I took them off. The trash cans had bags lying on them but not properly lined inside, just hanging over the sides. The actual set up/furniture placement of the room makes it difficult to rest. The shower door wouldn't stay closed so I had to put a towel in the jamb. There was mold and water stains in the shower. I was here from Wednesday to Saturday and my room was not refreshed. When I asked about it, I was asked if I needed towels. I said no but I have trash. They said to set the trash outside the door. I have pictures that show much of this but the app will not let me attach them. Because of this experience, I will never stay at a Marriott hotel again.

Nice and clean

My room smelled like cigarette smoke. I told the front desk and they brought in a machine or sprayed something in the air while I was gone for a few hours . It wasn’t as bad but still smelled cigarettes.

I didn't like that the fire trucks and EMS was almost on an hourly schedule, and my toilet ran the final night for the entire night. Sleep was very difficult the final night and my cooler( refrigerator) wasn't working

I enjoyed my stay at The Courtyard Marriott. The staff was friendly & courteous. The hotel was conveniently located next to a slew of eateries and getting to the highway was a breeze. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I had an inoperable refrigerator in my room. They did send a technician to replace it on my last night, but I had to throw out food because of that. Also, I paid the additional fee for breakfast and the on-site restaurant opened late one morning and I was t able to utilize the service. I didn’t bother patronizing them after that. Overall it was a great hotel and I will be back when I visit Greensboro.

Room far from elevator. Room faced extremely busy street rather than peaceful courtyard. Could not sleep due to road noise. Complained to desk staff but did not care.

The hotel is located in an area blessed with a wealth of shops and restaurants. Overall, we had a pleasant visit and would do it again.

Room was very small & tight for King bed with sofabed.

The courtyard was very noisy at times

Didn’t start off well as I got there at 2:55p only to be told there were no rooms ready. Finally got a room at 3:30 and that kind of set the tone for the trip. The shower didn’t drain well despite being on the 3rd floor.

Bugs in the room. Had to be asked to be moved. Terrible front desk staff in the pm shift. It was very late when we checked in and the staff member was just rude

Your night staff was extra, extra helpful. I got turned around getting there and they helped me drive on in.

The property is well situated next to restaurants and the room was OK. Staff were friendly but very unhelpful when I asked for a late checkout after a 3-night stay. Despite 3 requests for late checkout or extra half-day rate, all were refused. Not what I expect from a property like this. There are other local options - Homewood Suites and Embassy suites and I will select one of this next time I or my staff stay in Greensboro.

The courtyard was loud well into the night the entire stay. Rooms were more dated than I realized when booking but the beds were comfy. Plenty of space for luggage. Tables for eating in the lobby were awkward at best and I hate eating in my room because of mess but that’s what we ended up doing. The pantry for food and drinks was beyond over priced….. even for a hotel. Conveniently located but there are better stays to be had.
