Best Western Rock Hill

The Best Western in Rock Hill was very nice, quiet. Room was very clean. I travel with my two dogs so we do need to go outside at bedtime and early morning. I would have preferred more lighting in the parking area, but overall I would definitely recommend.

Clean. Pet friendly. Close to I-77. Safe.

Reasonable cost for room. Close to Winthrop University. No carpets in the rooms, only hallway. My child has allergies. Breakfast included.

Property does NOT allow cats, nor do they allow dogs over 40 lbs. They also charge a 20 pet fee per DOG PER NIGHT. 3 NIGHT MAX. NOT MENTIONED on Travelocity website. The weight limitation, the number of DOGS, the stay limit, or the extra fee.

Property was very clean and quiet. A welcome relief after a hectic day on the road. Staff was friendly and professional, breakfast was good (prepared buffet), and included some choices for everyone. Room was nice, CLEAN and quiet. Heater and all amenities worked well. Shower was the star of this show, with plenty of hot water delivered with authority to help relax after 10 hours driving. Bed was comfortable, even for my achy back. To list a few DOWNSIDES (weren't many): Parking lot has some areas that could use another light or two, and if You arrive late the choices for food in the area are limited to drive through only (expect a line at the DT). Overall a surprisingly pleasant stop on my journey, and at a very good value!

Place was clean and looked newly remodeled

The room was gross. There was pubic hair on the toilet seat, and the sink also had hair in it. The tub was filling with water while we showered, the toilet didn't flush, and the fridge in the room was so rusty it was disgusting. I got a call saying my card was declined, and they thought I was going to give my card info over the phone, even though the card didn't fail. I had the confirmation in my email. Overall, the stay was just overnight, but I would not return based on the experience we had.

The hotel stay was great, i would have given them excelent accros the board, there was mold in the shower and the door to the bathroom needed to be cleaned.

Short stay/Business trip. The hotel receptionist was absolutely phenomenal. They were helpful the entire stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to assist the customer. The only issue was the cleanliness of the room when you require room service. Housekeeping did not have towels or sheets to refresh the room. I had to wait, but ended up going to the front desk to get towels. The floors in the room need a deep cleaning. It’s like someone spilled 2 gallons of sweet tea on the floor. The surrounding area is under construction, but manageable. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable.

Nice hotel to stay at, only problem I had was my sheets had hair on them when I arrived. The front desk clerk solved that problem for me. I didn't try the breakfast but everything thing else was great. Definitely will stay again.

When we got in the room we saw 2 cockroaches and the room smelled awful. Woke up to a skunk smell in the middle of the night. Subpar property.

Not clean. Smelled like various smokes and had to wait a while to get someone to come to the counter to check me in. Room wasn’t very nice or very clean. Bed was comfy

There were 4 cockroaches in our bathroom at 1 am. We saw one in the tub when first entering the room and my husband tried to convince me it was just a random bug because he doesn't like causing problems. NOPE. And the front desk told me my reservation next week for our return trip cant be canceled because its expedia's. Expedia better help me cancel that reservation or I wont be using it again and I will be sure to leave bad reviews for the hotel AND expedia EVERYWHERE.

The room was dirty once you actually started to look plus tv wasn’t working had to wait over 2 hours for someone to come fix it then looked at me said it was unplugged like I would know since the plug was behind a dresser. Over all wasn’t worth the money

Bathroom had mold

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, however, the pillows could use an upgrade (I’m very picky about pillows) Breakfast was slightly better than most as the quality of the eggs and sausage that morning were good. I was slightly disappointed. There wasn’t a pot of oatmeal instead they offered instant oatmeal. My only disappointment was the bathroom. I think the toilet only sat 6 inches off the floor and the door would sweep the bath towel every time you would close it to get in the shower. However, the water pressure was great and the towels were good.

AC loud and not cooling properly, not enough light in the washroom, area around not safe

Room is old, but they spray the room and hallway areas with an extremely strong disinfectant spray, to hide the smells. The spray is so strong, you can taste it in your mouth when sleeping.

Room needed some love. Water marks on ceiling, scuffs in paint and furniture, paints chips in ceiling. Bathroom needed more light. Size of room and bathroom were great!

Rooms need updating. Some cob webs under the sink area in bathroom.

Very clean. Comfortable bed, but pillows were disappointing. The BEST shower, and very nice shampoo, conditioner, and body wash

Staff was wonderful, as was the room. Unfortunately, the bed was NOT. The sheets and bedspread were horribly rough. The pillows were SO BAD that I have a crick in my neck and my husband's back is out of wack.

The front desk staff was very short toned. Did not have a welcoming environment whatsoever. We’ve stayed now 3 times at this hotel and keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it’s been consistently unwelcoming…

We stay here regularly because we know it will be a good stay. Nothing fancy, just dependable, clean, and the staff is courteous and always ready to assist. We have stayed at other nearby hotels and nothing matches this one for price and dependability.

At check-in, the night attendant was very rude. He was taking numerous phone calls during my time to check-in. He even took a personal call while I waited. The room was average, the bed was horrible with no support and cause me to wake up in severe pain. We were placed by the elevator. When asked to move we weren’t accommodated. The mini fridge was not cold or even cool. The chairs were broken and the hallways smelled.

Anthony at check-in was friendly. and helpful. Also met the manager and he completed the check-in. Staff was courteous and professional. Room was clean. Had a very nice breakfast. Only drawback which is not the hotels' fault is road construction turning onto road the hotel sits on. Be careful pulling in. The great stay was worth negotiating the construction compared to experiencing lousy lodging. This Best Western will be added to one of my favorites for my trips,

Checked in pretty late. Asked for a late checkout at noon, which the person working at night agreed and was very courteous. Was woken up by the fron desk person at 11:15 with loud banging on the door and was asked to checkout. Eventuality when we got to the front desk and asked for a receipt, they refused! Never had any business ever refuse a receipt for payment! We need a copy of the receipt for reimbursement.

Shantel was absolutely amazing. She worked the entire weekend and was right on top of all of our needs. Made the stay an absolute pleasure.

Road under construction(gravel) to hotel while staying and motels next to hoyel seem rundown a bit.

Hotel was very neat and clean. The hotel next door seemed a little sketchy. Instant easy access to get right back on I77 and a gas station and several restaurants in the area was a plus.

This is an older property that has seen better days. I would say a renovation is in order, but they probably need a new location given the condition of the motels around it. The street doesn’t feel safe at all. We would not stay at this location again.

Nothing particularly egregious about the hotel itself, but it is located on a sketchy street. Anthony at the front desk welcomed me with a big smile and warm greeting, definitely a bright spot.

Good and convenient location.

Room was very clean. Shower worked great. Lots of hot water. Staff where exceptional. Went beyond what was required. Breakfast was good. Located in a little ruff area. But all the hotels around there are. Easy access to highway. Overall would stay there again.

Bad roads

Room that I was in looked pretty newly updated. Property was clean and quiet and staff were nice. Breakfast in the morning was good with scrambled eggs and sausage and a make your own waffle station as well as the other cold items usually on a continental breakfast.

Just an overnight stay. Breakfast was just okay the waffle was good though. I will probably consider it again if I’m ever in the area

The staff here was the best i've ever dealt with. The hotel itself was the cleanest i've ever been in. Even breakfast was excellent. Lots to choose from. I would most definitely stay here again.

Only thing I dislike are the eggs at breakfast. Use real eggs, not powdered eggs!

This hotel is the cleanest, safest & has easiest access to the 77 with the best hot breakfast of anywhere I've ever stayed. The price of stay is half of I normally have to pay for this quality.

I’d like to leave a fair and honest review of this location. This location had a 8.9 out of 10 on review sites. This seemed to be an extremely over hyped score for what we experienced . For the area this was by far the nicest place to stay, but it was a 6 at best. It looks to have been semi renovated recently which is a plus, cons, the bed was one of the worst we’ve had in years, with a singe king bed we had four very tiny lump old pillows and frankly got no sleep the two nights, between poor bed and the room being very stuffy even with the ac set to 66. The room smelled of old smoke and musk, I had to spray it down with sanitizer spray and then it was tolerable. Other cons, the breakfast was the worst we’ve experienced, for reference we’ve traveled to about 14 cities in the last two years on weekend get aways, the breakfast meat was the lowest grade available and we ended up not finishing it, the waffle got stuck to the iron after spraying with Pam still and we have to pry it off into crumbles. On a positive note, the pros included a comfy clean blanket and sheets on the bed, the rooms were on the larger side though the bathroom door was too big, so you could not have more then one person in there. The water pressure was great and the soaps smelled good. If you need a cheap place to crash and don’t care about the breakfast this might fit the bill and is the only inside room hotel in the direct area. But if you have an extra $50 a night find a Hilton garden inn or something.

Check in was quick and friendly. Room was older but clean. Breakfast had a few decent cold options but the hot food wasn’t very good at all. We needed a bed for the night on our way to Florida and it for the bill.
