Lot of stairs that were not to modern code (old house) with being different heights and creaking. Beds were comfy. Was able to fit large group in the home. Close to businesses and other outdoor activities. Had a nice backyard though we never used it. Lots of homeless people wandering past the house. Off of a busy one way 3 lane road. Our main issue with the house was having an older couple have to go up the not friendly stairs to the queen bed up there. (Double bed on main). We also had a family member who broke her foot right before the trip and had to crawl up into the home due to poor low handrails and such. Floors need to be reinstalled by a professional. Most rooms the flooring never touched the walls. Corners and edging not cut well at all. Uneven/level flooring. Otherwise we enjoyed the home. The kids loved the karaoke mic, pac man machine, and Atari. We enjoyed the large table for games. Nice fridge for your items. Washer and dryer well functioning. Nice farmhouse large kitchen sink. Bathrooms updated some. Did see really dusty gross vent next to toilet that was rusty looking too. If you aren’t paying attention to all the details than this house is actually pretty nice. For that reason we are giving it 4 stars.

We travel to Crescent City often to visit friends who moved there. This property was in a great location to walk and get food. The kids and teens loved the video games, board games and outside games provided as well. We all had a great time!

Crescent City is a launching pad for exploring the redwoods and northern CA/southern Oregon beaches. We were perfectly located staying in this home to do both. The yard was fantastic, the interior beautiful, comfortable and super quiet. We absolutely would stay here again and are already recommending to friends. Six stars.

My three friends and I have been doing an annual guys trip for years. We started using Vrbo properties almost 10 years ago. We stay in 3 to 4 properties each year and this house is in all our top 5s. The house was clean and comfortable. The private back yard/deck are great for hanging around the house and the location had several places within walking distance to get food. If I’m ever in Crescent City again I will be looking to book this house

Or stay was just one night as we were paying through. It was perfect for our needs! The house looked just like the pictures. There were many amenities with personal touches that were great. Music playing when we walked in, snacks for the kids, mints at the door, laser tag and video console. The kitchen was well stocked! Appliances were new. The beds were comfortable. Communication with the host was great!

We enjoyed staying here a few days with our kids. We arrived to jazz music playing and snacks in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there is enough space in the house for everyone to enjoy a few days there. We grilled burgers for dinner one evening on the deck. The house is close to Highway but we used fans in the house to help with white noise at night to help. Nearby a lot of fun activities and not far from Trees of Mystery and State Parks, beaches, we drove to Gold Beach in Oregon and did a Jet Boat tour for a day and that was really fun. Beautiful area! We would love to come back and would stay again in this house.

My family loved our stay in this large and well-stocked house. The kitchen has more utensils and perks than many other VRBOs we have stayed in, and the appliances are all new and nice. My only complaint is that this house is listed as having access to a community pool. It talking with the host, this actually means there is a city pool within walking distance, which I found misleading. The host did agree to pay for my family's fee to go to the pool, but with its limited hours we were not able to go. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay.

We loved our stay here so much that we are trying to plan when we can come back again! This home was so clean, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kids were so excited about the games, the bunkbeds, and the fire pit in the backyard (which we sadly didn't even get to use because it was rainy). I loved all the thoughtful amenities in the kitchen (including pancake mix!) and laundry room, and they had luxurious clean towels and bedding. The communication was also top-notch. We absolutely loved staying here and can't wait to see if we can stay again for our next visit to Cresent City!

Very clean home that is comfy and has everything you need. Neighborhood a bit rough . Very close to grocery store.great fridge and washer/dryer. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of little cosmetic issues with some of the diy projects like trim and flooring not meeting up well. Deck has multiple nails sticking up so watch your toes. Overall a nice place though.

We did enjoy our stay in Crescent City for the most part. I would say highlights are the house is cute, great amount of space and close to anything city related (local fast food chains, for example). The property owner is fantastic and very responsive which made some minor issues we experienced a lot better.When we arrived to the location it wasn't cleaned very well. The property owner was quickly responsive on how we could solve the issue. One other item that wasn't great, was the location is in the middle of town and the environment around the house made us nervous to go out at night or leave the windows open for fresh air. I really do appreciate the owner taking care of us so quickly and kindly.

Here's my dilemma; The house was ok, but we had a nearly catastrophic issue. I booked this house for my wife and 4 of my elders to stay. When we arrived my aunt pointed out the downstairs bathtub wasn't clean and had a lot of hair in it and the floors in the kitchen were dirty. I thought she was being picky, but then another member pulled back the covers to find a lot and I'm not meaning 1 or 2 I mean like a lot a hair and debris all over the sheets and pillows. This led to everyone checking and I had to take pictures as every single bed had this issue. It took everything I had to keep them in the house as they wanted to leave and not deal with changing sheets and washing. I explained this to the owner and they apologized immediately. I explained my theory was the cleaning crew either overloaded the washer for all sheets to be covered like this or the washing machine may need to be changed out. Either way it's hard because all of us felt gross staying here and were not able to relax as everyone was then looking for every little thing wrong like the stairs not being to code (guessing) because the steps are not all the same height to the flooring not being finished in all areas with trim. I'm not going to destroy the owner with a 1- rating because that's what I felt like at the time listening to everyone go nuts on me for booking such a "gross" place, but I truly believe this was a one off and hope they work things out with the cleaning crew to change. We enjoyed this property quite a bit. It is a great spot to access the redwood parks and beach. It’s in a more urban area, so there is some foot traffic and road noise, but nothing a fan couldn’t hide. Bonus of that is that you are walking distance to coffee shops, fast food, groceries and some cute restaurants. Overall, we found the host very responsive. Great place for families—came in October to find Halloween goodies and decor. My kids thought that was awesome! Also has very thoughtful set up with snacks and coffee. Sets you up for a great start.Thanks Marshawn!

We would love to come back and would stay again in this house.
We enjoyed staying here a few days with our kids. We arrived to jazz music playing and snacks in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and there is enough space in the house for everyone to enjoy a few days there. We grilled burgers for dinner one evening on the deck. The house is close to Highway but we used fans in the house to help with white noise at night to help. Nearby a lot of fun activities and not far from Trees of Mystery and State Parks, beaches, we drove to Gold Beach in Oregon and did a Jet Boat tour for a day and that was really fun. Beautiful area! We loved our stay here so much that we are trying to plan when we can come back again! This home was so clean, cozy, and perfect for our family. The kids were so excited about the games, the bunkbeds, and the fire pit in the backyard (which we sadly didn't even get to use because it was rainy). I loved all the thoughtful amenities in the kitchen (including pancake mix!) and laundry room, and they had luxurious clean towels and bedding. The communication was also top-notch. We absolutely loved staying here and can't wait to see if we can stay again for our next visit to Cresent City!

Very nice older home in downtown Crescent City. It has new features and was very comfortable. We visited in early April and needed the heaters and pellet stove - they were very easy to use. Everything worked well and it was our favorite house of the trip! Owner was very responsive and helpful.

We enjoyed this property quite a bit. It is a great spot to access the redwood parks and beach. It’s in a more urban area, so there is some foot traffic and road noise, but nothing a fan couldn’t hide. Bonus of that is that you are walking distance to coffee shops, fast food, groceries and some cute restaurants. Overall, we found the host very responsive. Great place for families—came in October to find Halloween goodies and decor. My kids thought that was awesome! Also has very thoughtful set up with snacks and coffee. I came on a road trip with my children and we enjoyed this house along. I was debating to stay closer to the ocean but so glad I went with this place. You cannot beat the location it is SO close to everything. The host was great in communication and offering suggestions. I plan to return again in the future

The host was very responsive when we had an issue with one of the toilets. Unfortunately it wasn't able to be resolved during our stay. Host left Halloween goodies for us, and snacks. Very pleasant stay! Would definitely stay again if ever in the area

We had a short stay in Crescent city wanted a place we could crash as a family of eight. Marshawn‘s home was perfect for what we needed. It had all the amenities and more and was close to shops and restaurants. Marshawn was quick to respond to any issues and made us feel comfortable in his home. Overall the property was unique and the check in communications were good. However, we had significant issues with the house people should be aware of. We were informed that one of the bathrooms was not working well and to avoid it which was fine. When we arrived at 6 PM the house was very cold (under 60 degrees). We proceeded to turn on the main stove heater and space heaters in the rooms per the instructions on the stove. We then left and went to dinner. When we came back around 7:30 PM the house was still cold and none of the heaters were working. I messaged the host but did not hear back. Since it was late we decided to leave the house and stay somewhere at a hotel.Eventually I got in touch with the host and was told it was a tripped GFCI which could be fixed. However, I would be concerned that they could trip again leading to issues on a cold night. It was a cold and rainy night so we were uncomfortable staying in a very cold house that wasn't working.Subsequent communication with the host included a number of false statements from his cleaners about what was and wasn't used during the brief time we were in the home. I would encourage everyone to take careful pictures to document everything in case you have issues given those challenges.I asked for a full and then a partial refund for the stay given the issues but that was not accepted.We loved the cute uniqueness of the house but wouldn't stay there again during poor weather.

We loved our stay. Perfect location for what we needed. We headed into Jedidiah state park for the redwoods. House met all our needs for sleeping the age ranges we had from 12 year old up. Kitchen well stocked for our cooking needs. Loved the ease of checking in/out. Communication with owner couldn’t have been a better experience. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I found myself back in the area.

My parents and I had a wonderful time staying at the Modern Vintage, the house was very well appointed. This is honestly one of the best VRBO experiences we've had. Crescent City is a launching pad for exploring the redwoods and northern CA/southern Oregon beaches. We were perfectly located staying in this home to do both. The yard was fantastic, the interior beautiful, comfortable and super quiet. We absolutely would stay here again and are already recommending to friends. Six stars.

My three friends and I have been doing an annual guys trip for years. We started using Vrbo properties almost 10 years ago. We stay in 3 to 4 properties each year and this house is in all our top 5s. The house was clean and comfortable. The private back yard/deck are great for hanging around the house and the location had several places within walking distance to get food. If I’m ever in Crescent City again I will be looking to book this house

We had two families, both with younger children staying in the home. There was plenty of space and the home was well equipped. The owner was great at communicating with us with anything that came up. The only thing I wish I had known before booking is that the house is right off of the 101 highway. I was looking for a more residential area, but as far as convenience of location you really can't beat it.

We were nicely surprised at how detailed the property, to all of the little perks/gestures that makes you feel like you are at home. Snack tray, coffee supplies, laundry detergent, plenty of towels, blankets and pillows. They thought of everything that you could want or might need! We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

My family loved our stay in this large and well-stocked house. The kitchen has more utensils and perks than many other VRBOs we have stayed in, and the appliances are all new and nice. My only complaint is that this house is listed as having access to a community pool. It talking with the host, this actually means there is a city pool within walking distance, which I found misleading. The host did agree to pay for my family's fee to go to the pool, but with its limited hours we were not able to go. Otherwise, this was a great place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a family of nine staying on the property. Our grandchildren loved playing hide and seek in all the little nooks and crannies. The house was nice. It had been updated pretty well. The only struggle we had was the downstairs bathroom had very little counter space and storage but we made it work. The owner was pretty accommodating. We have had worse. It was good for our family because all the grown ups had privacy and the kids slept together in the bunk room. It was a very quick drive to the beach and has a lovely scenic drive to the redwoods. Grocery stores and restaurants were conveniently located. The 'mud room' was wonderful for getting the sand contained and not dragged into the house. We had a good time-made easier by the accommodations.

The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well prepared, and laundry washer and dryer are huge. The house is more vintage and has modern amenities. The property is central to all activities in Cresent City and highly accessible to the major highways. The bedrooms are comfortable, the kitchen is well prepared, and laundry washer and dryer are huge. The house is more vintage and has modern amenities. Very nice property. The beds were very comfortable. Linens and towels were clean and fresh. Super kid friendly with lots of board games. Highly recommend!
