Hôtel à l’architecture iconique. Vue splendide… Nous étions conquis par le charme inclassable de cet hôtel. Un bémol toutefois, la piscine ! Loin de l’hôtel, pas facile d’accès, c’est plutôt une piscine olympique car il y est stipulé qu’il n’est pas autorisé de se baigner sans nager ! Un avant goût du Aryel chinois !

The front desk staff and luggage helpers were very friendly and welcoming. The night view of Taipei 101 from the hotel was stunning and colorful, and it was pleasantly quiet at night. The shower had great water pressure, but unfortunately, the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, which caused water to leak out. I had to use a towel to soak it up.

窓なしの部屋にしてしまったので眺望が望めなかったのは少し後悔しているが、部屋自体は非常に清潔で良かった。高台に位置しているので外が見える部屋の方がいいかもしれない。ちょうど中秋節の日だったので月餅のお土産が部屋に置かれていたのが嬉しかった。

Great hotel tourist attraction in its own right. Balcony allowed you to watch sunset. However breakfast was very expensive and awful Lots of food but none any good. Also, rooms are old and doors to balcony do not seal properly so you hear all thr traffic and planes ftom the nearby airport and metro trsins...so peaceful it isnt.

A beautiful place. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The view was wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic, possibly too many items. Juice was too sweet apart from the watermelon. Maybe too busy for some tastes during the day with over 500 people in the main hall and atrium.

A massive, well-maintained property, with a lot of interesting history. The corner suite is absolutely immense, both inside and out, and the breakfast buffet was the largest and most extensive we had ever seen. The Olympic-sized pool is immense, but a bit of a challenge to get to from the main lobby and there are no attendants at it. That said, it did provide a welcome relief to the heat and humidity of Taipei in August. We missed the hotel shuttle from the pool back to the main lobby one morning and a very friendly staffer drove us in a golf cart so we could get back in time — representative of the always-friendly staff at this property. We seldom stay at properties this large, but certainly enjoyed our stay.

Staff were very courteous especially at checkin and the porters. Wait staff in restaurants promptness could be improved . Rooms very clean and well appointed. Free bus transfer to MRT station very good. Although the bus stop at Yuanshan needs better signage at night.

We had a superb experience staying at The Grand Hotel in Taipei. Among hotels of similar level, this one stands out for its thoughtful service and attention to detail. The staff were consistently warm and helpful — from the front desk and concierge to the transportation team, restaurant servers, cleaning staff, and luggage attendants. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. What impressed us most was how comprehensive the services were. The hotel helped us arrange taxis, airport shuttles, and even a private driver for a day trip outside of Taipei, which was the highlight of our stay. They also offer on-site currency exchange, which was very convenient. The hotel itself is true to its name — grand in design, well-maintained, and very clean. There's a real sense of history and elegance throughout the property. For the level of comfort and service provided, we felt the price was more than fair. Check in process was friendly and seamless (thank you Jessie for the room upgrade for a better view of city)! Lobby was indeed grand (live piano music was a beautiful addition). Hotel shuttle to and from Yuanshan train station was very convenient. Room was nice - however recommend stocking room with more clothes hangars, plates, silverware. Standard pillows were uncomfortable - good thing I saw the pillow menu (charcoal pillow was much better). Recommend separate shampoo and conditioner (not combined). Underground tour was not that enjoyable because tour guide spoke in Mandarin - recommend offering 2 tours (Mandarin and English). Swimming pool and gym required taking a shuttle so we didnt get to see that part of the hotel unfortunately. Overall all hotel were friendly and welcoming (except the mean lady working as barista in afternoon of July 29, 2025). Hope to stay at Grand Hotel next time we are in Taipei!

宿泊施設は全く不満な点はありません。アクセスに関しては、近くの駅までシャトルバスが出ていますが、主な観光スポットへ行くにはあまり便利な駅とは言えないので、毎回タクシーが主な移動手段となる事だけが不便な点です。タクシー移動で構わなければ最高のホテルだと思います。

Overall is very good. But the minimum spending dining request is a little bit bothering me. For example going to the cafe if the order is under $300 then I have to order something else which I don’t really want to enable me to sitting in the cafe.
