The Madison Concourse Hotel

We really enjoyed the entertainment in the bar. Also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The room had a partial view of the capitol, which was nice. Room was clean and had a comfortable bed. Only real issue was that the TV froze up at the hotel screen, and would not allow us to watch anything, so basically the TV did not work. When this was brought up to the hotel clerk they shrugged it off and gave us a coupon for $1.00 off at the local Starbucks. Other than that the hotel was great.

Beautiful place and well maintained. You will not be disappointed that you picked this for your stay when visiting Madison.

All the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast in room was outstanding and made for a better start to our day. Loved the view of the Capitol from our room!

We had a clean and comfy stay! Beds were 10/10.

I asked several days before arriving whether a late checkout was possible, also indicating the exact time I would need to leave, 5 pm. I was told that the request had been added to my reservation and that, if there was availability, it would be granted. However, when I arrived, the receptionist told me there was no note on my reservation, although he said it would still be possible to stay longer. He explained that late checkout was free until 1 pm, but since I needed the room until 5 pm, I said I was willing to pay, expecting a reduced fee for a few extra hours. If the policy was to charge a full extra night, this should have been clearly communicated when I first contacted the hotel. Instead, it was not. The next day, at checkout, I was first told verbally that I would only pay half price, but then the full amount for an additional night was charged to my card. I later contacted the hotel about this issue, but I received no reply regarding this point. In the end, I paid for a full extra night for only four additional hours of stay .. and not even an extra coffee included :-(
