Excellent 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit, plenty of room, did not hear any noise from the main road of Alexandra Beach, which the unit was facing. Hotel was across the road where U could eat. Beach was also across the road from our unit. Bus stop was right outside our unit. The complex has 3 pools, 2 spas, a playground & 2 slides, great for kids.

Smaller car owners should have been told to park underneath. The outside parking should have been for larger cars ONLY. IT was hard to find a park on the property at times for our large 4WD.

yes the room was clean and the staff were friendly and courteous. Pool and spa were great.

All started well on check in, greeted beautifully by reception staff, all was well. Then we entered the outdated apartment. Mould on the bathroom ceilings and shower recess, ceiling falling down in the spare rooms, ceiling patchers all over the place, remote controls not working, empty soap dispenser. Advised reception staff that the lift wasn’t working in our apartment block, nearly had my head ripped off from the reception member, The lift was broken the entire stay with the staff saying it should have been fixed years ago. We were then having to carry our luggage and assist our elderly parents up the stairs. We asked for replacement remote TV batteries and it was like having a bandaid ripped off! I understood reception staff sometimes work under challenging circumstances, but, there was no need for the hostility from the reception staff member when informing them of an out of order lift!!! I know these reviews go nowhere, and are a waste of time, you can clearly see from the past posts that the rooms and apartments have NOT been maintained. they are outdated, worn out, and have mould all through them. We had 3 members become sick while staying here and one who’s allergies played up. I just needed to get it off my chest, as this may possibly help someone else make an informed decision of where to stay next time! The pool was the only thing going for the place and even then there were used bandaids in it. Oh and by the way you have to pay $3 for a pool towel.

A good location and clean and tidy facilities. Would be a good option for families. Parking was problematic due to location of card swipe facilities.

Booked three bedroom apartment for 3 nights. Was clean and spacious in good location. Second bedroom upstairs was windowless and a little cramped. Main pool was great although cool at this time of year. However two other good sized spa pools that were warm. Across road from beach and surf club that offered excellent food at great price. Safe secure parking for two vehicles.

This was the third time staying at this resort. Disappointed with the apartment, which didn't look as though it has been remodelled since the 1990’s. Cleanliness could be improved, including vacuuming properly between guests so that debris are left on the floor. I tried looking at the website before arriving to get information and the website hasn’t been updated in years. Also asked reception staff about where the closest medical centre was that took drop-in patients and they sent me to one that doesn’t. Apart from the excellent pool and lovely outdoor areas in this resort the rest was a miss and I won’t be coming back again.

Great location and good amenities but the room smelled of cigarettes and there were ants along the walls in the second bedroom. My daughter refused to sleep in there as she was scared of being bitten in her sleep.

Mostly all was good in and around the property. Just a couple of items in our room, which was 431, the light switch may be slightly defective as occasionally seemed to be hard to turn on and could be faulty. Also had a cockroach or two at the rubbish bin in kitchenette cupboard that disappeared down a piping recess when disturbed. Otherwise was great.

The apartment complex is well located, and our poolside apartment with its own fenced courtyard had good potential. However, the overall standard did not meet expectations based on the photos and description. On arrival, the linen and bedding were not properly cleaned — a ripped pillowcase, hair on the bed, and a musty bed cover were disappointing. we had to empty to vacuum cleaner just to use it, Dryer lint filter was full, dusty skiting boards. Several maintenance issues were also apparent: the shower-to-bath lever was broken, lighting was poor and dusty, and the toilet roll holder was not fit for purpose. We requested at reception to view alternative apartments as they became available, but this request was ignored. While the location was convenient, the accommodation requires better attention to cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service to meet the standard advertised.

Loved the lagoon and the pool areas, the kids loved it! But the room was soooo run down. It was in desperate need of an update. The main shower leaked all over the floor, the other toilet ran all night then would fill up, the front door wouldn’t lock/shut all the time. When we arrived we found the room dirty - crumbs on the couch bugs and glass on the floor and a cigarette in the bedroom. The reception lady was really lovely and came to do a quick clean herself which I really appreciated, but it just put a dampener on the stay right in the beginning.

Resort is in a great location & on beautiful grounds, the pool is a huge highlight. The room was quite outdated & rundown. No internet in the rooms to TVs to be able to stream Netflix etc. TV is bedroom wasn’t even able to broadcast free to air without bad static. Room was relatively clean but there was mould on curtains & table centerpiece etc.

Room was nice with a nice view over the pool. Almost all the dishes were dirty and had food marks on them which wasn’t the best. The room wasn’t ready at the check in time unfortunately

Wifi is slow, smart tvs that can connect to their wifi. Tried hot spotting from phone but reception was bad. Foxtel in room had no signal needed a new box which meant maintenance was in room for a while trying to set that up.. dirty / mouldy washing machine filter. Lots of build up in Showers etc. Lots of mosquitoes coming in through vents. Dusty.

Everything and I mean everything needed updated, air conditioning, didn’t work properlybathroomand kitchen,total refit needed Dirty rooms needed good clean handprints everywhere, dirty outside fridge in cupboards and wardrobe, chunks paint of skirting boards .

Great location, opposite the beach, walkable to lots of food options and bus stop right outside. Lovely gardens and pools. Shame only one of the heated pools was open, as it made it busy. Would be amazing in summer with the huge unheated lagoon pool usable too. Very clean and comfortable (one of the renovated ones apparently), with gorgeous ocean and pool view from the top floor. Useful to have washer and dryer. Unfortunately the lift to this room was out of order, and the stair wells were outdoors and a bit of a maze to find. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Everything is good but noisy upstairs during nighttime

Location great! Our room had access to the water which was nice. Loved how close it was to the beach.

This room needs an update. Internet was not working. I contacted Hotels.com and said they would address it with hotel. But obviously didn’t. As we had no internet for two day stay. Not impressed that we could not access at all.

Staff very friendly, great pool area, good size unit for two people.

Friendly staff, great location, my only fault was the shower/bath. The bath top was thigh high and I found it difficult to step over and in to take a shower.

The room is great and the staff is very accommodating with a wonderful pool area, however, the room we had was ocean facing with the main road in between, which at 4 lanes is very noisy when you sit on the balcony. The balcony door does a good job of keeping the noise out when closed. The internal passages leading up to the rooms appear dark and gloomy and need to be reworked as they come across as a bit industrial. Apart from the above, it is in a good location opposite a patrolled beach and the Alex surf club has a nice outside bar underneath. Anything you could need is within walking distance or a short drive and the Breakfree is worth the stay.

Good location, close to beach, room clean with good facilities but quite small, some tape on floor tiles where needs repairing, limited towels, 1 face washer. Bathtub slippery so needed to put towel on bath base

Excellent location for a stay, 2 mins from beach. The property is undergoing renovations so some rooms are fresh and modern while others are dated. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately between Wotif and Breakfree Alexandra Beach, they were not very helpful to us, due to loosing our flight and money with Bonza we requested a date change due to living rurally and the cost of replacing the flights. All we received was a ‘sorry’ it was quite devastating for our family as this was our only family holiday for this year and last year.

We absolutely loved our stay at BreakFree! The space was amazing – two huge balconies gave us plenty of room to relax and enjoy the view. The staff were super friendly and made check-in and check-out smooth and easy. The pool and spa were incredible – definitely a highlight of our stay. Plus, the location couldn’t be better – just a short walk to cafes, restaurants, and the beach. Highly recommend!

When we first arrived at the property the room we had booked was not the same as what was displayed on the Expedia photos. We brought this to the attention of staff at reception and we were looked after superbly by the staff, especially Jess who was awesome, which resulted in a room upgrade. The facility was great, but the staff were even better as they made our stay so good so a big thankyou to them!!!!

A fantastic location for a family holiday. Pool area was fantastic. Room was a little tired but we weren’t in it much. Parking for holiday makers was very busy at Christmas time. Reception could have been a little friendlier. We had a great time and I would return.

Excellent location to the beach and dining options were very good, quiet location between Maroochydore and Mooloolaba but lots of activities around to do. Enjoyed the resort very much, lovely pool and amenities. Allowed us to use the pool after checkout and supplied towels and looked after our luggage until we had to catch our flight. Very friendly and knowledgeable Reception staff. Would definitely stay again.

From arrival to departure, the staff could not be any more helpful. The studio room we had was very functional and well set out. The outside activities were very good but there was a little noise from some young people around the pool at night. Overall, a very good place to stay.

Well maintained pools, gardens and accomodation. Friendly staff, easy acess and parking. Convenietly located.

Fantastic location in the heart of the Sunshine Coast - with the beach literally footsteps away from the resort. The resort boasts an incredible lagoon pool that runs along the whole length of the resort. Unfortunately the main lagoon pool isn't heated - so is really only pleasant for adults to swim in on an extemely hot day (kids don't seem to mind though!) There is a lovely heated pool and spa at both ends of the lagoon pool. Our room was neat and tidy, but a bit dated. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a courtyard room, which gave us a wonderful sized courtyard to enjoy - just steps away from the pool. Plenty of great cafes and takeaway shops in the surrounding streets, as well as great cafes and restaurants a short 3 minute drive away at Mooloolaba.

Lovely resort, clean and very friendly. Well equipped rooms, everything you need. The pools are fun. Great location across from Alex beach, walkable to Moloollaba or Maroochydore.

The apartments were spacious, beds comfy, laundry a bonus, pool is brilliant & great places to eat close by. The surf club across the road is perfectly located.

The pool is amazing. The family enjoyed spending a lot of time here - early morning and late night swims. Our room was comfortable, staff friendly and the grounds were beautiful. Easy parking and access rooms. Will very happily stay again. Surfboard hire shop was in front and the surf across the road. A few dining option in walking distance.

Clean & quiet and a short walk to the Alexandria Beach SLSC

Quiet location close to beach and local Surf Lifesaving Club. Plenty of dining options within walking distance.

We spent about 2 weeks at BreakFree Alexandra Headland. The most disappointing point was when I booked it said there was a banquet room. Turns out there is no food or drink available on site at all. I wish we knew that before booking as that was one of the main reasons we booked. On the last night, our key cards just stopped working. We were out with friends and returned at about 1am. No way of getting inside. We had to call security which took another 30 minutes to get inside. All that being said, it was still an overall good experience. With great pools.

The pool design amongst gardens is delightful. Location is excellent with plenty of dining options close by.

We travelled as 2 adults and 2 kids. We all loved the heated pools and spas. The location was fabulous, opposite the beach and the surf club. It's so easy to get to shopping facilities.
