Just attention to detail for a 5* is lacking from paint splashes around walls to electric plugs not on correctly especially next to bath. Electrical and water dont mix well imagine a toddler or child. There was a silcone gun sitting past the lifts for a good few hours with no work person in sight. Also the breakfast menu we asked for 2 breakfast for it and they weren't available and the coffee machine was broken so could only offer filter coffee. Again not getting the 5* standard you paid for therefore expect. The spa area for relaxing has seen better days with most cushions on the wicket furniture badly ripped and torn. The actual spa treatment was great 👍 the food was actually lovely 😍 but its the attention to detail that makes the difference.

Nice overnight stay, we did the Boatyard Distillery tour so stayed over after. Had dinner in the bar, it was fine, not bad but not great. Breakfast ok, nice to order from a menu. Room really big, lovely and very comfortable apart from pillows. Spa area very nice but dated. Beware if doing the distillery tour - it’s 5 miles from hotel but was very hard to get a taxi (and estimated to cost £30-40 each way) and hotel don’t offer transport. Only two staff members serving dinner in the bar so they were very busy, front desk staff disinterested in feedback.

Chose not to buy breakfast but managed to get a lovely goat cheese salad late (just before 9pm) after a long drive. Lovely large rooms and bathroom which were spotless and really comfortable bed. Enjoyed the spa facilities as usual and all staff very polite.

We stayed at the Lough Erne Resort for a very special wedding anniversary and overall had a lovely time. The hotel made the occasion feel special with chocolates in the room and complimentary Prosecco and sweet treats in the restaurant. The Garden Room was a real highlight, very relaxing and a beautiful place to sit and relax. Our lake-view room was also lovely, and the staff throughout the hotel were excellent- friendly, efficient, and really five-star in their service. On the downside, the Wi-Fi was very poor and with no 4G it was difficult to stay in touch with family. The spa was smaller and busier than expected, with limited seating and not as luxurious as other spas we’ve visited. We also noticed small details like a cracked tile in our bathroom and missing tiles around the spa, which made the hotel feel less polished. Towels and robes were also quite rough rather than fluffy as described. Overall, we had a memorable stay and really appreciated the special touches, but a little more attention to detail would bring it up to the five-star standard.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Our room was so lovely overlooking the lake, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Loved the stand alone bath and made good use of it. Tea maker and supply of water excellent. Staff so, so friendly and very accomodating. Breakfast extremely good, great variety. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Deeply disappointing for the price paid. ROOM 1) Fecal matter on toilet seat. We were greeted to our lake view room by fecal matter on the toilet seat. This is wholly inexcusable at any price point. To the hotel’s credit, they sent up a bottle of champagne when they came to sort the room out…the only issue being that we do not drink. Upon checkout we advised the receptionist that we had left the bottle untouched and that they could collect it. They then very kindly asked us for our email address so that they could contact us in the future. 2) The heat. The room was unbearably hot. There is no AC in the room. The duvets were also extremely dense which compounded our discomfort. 3) The insects. Despite keeping the window closed there were many files and insects. BREAKFAST We paid for breakfast when we made our booking; a fact confirmed by the front desk when we checked in. The first morning of our stay we lined up to have breakfast and were initially told that our name was not on the list. This first process took around five minutes. A second staff member came and consulted another list. Whilst the second staff member was reviewing another list the first staff member loudly proclaimed “they have unfortunately not paid for breakfast”. This was deeply embarrassing as it was heard by the very long queue behind us. The second staff member (after some searching for another few minutes) found our name on another list. We never received an apology from the first staff member.

We stayed for one night, the room was spacious and clean. The bed was so comfortable and the room was lovely and warm. The staff at check in was extremely friendly and also the housekeeping staff were so lovely when we were leaving our room the next morning. The breakfast was fantastic, especially David. He was great fun and welcoming and explained everything in such detail. We will definitely stay again

We attended the Lough Erne for our anniversary. On arrival to our room we noticed the toilet brush was very dirty quite evidently so from a previous guest. We contacted reception and they did replace it swiftly- it would have been nice to perhaps be offered a complimentary drink or a small token just for the unpleasant encounter. However the matter was sorted quickly. I don’t think it would defer me from going back and everything else was faultless.

I had booked a lodge but moved to hotel without notice.. this didnt suit... took 20mins to find me a lodge and then told this is normally reserved as a 2 bedroom lodge..? Great music in bar from 8-10 cocktails great as alway but expensive @ £16... stay let down as ensuite bathroom was not clean... excellent staff in bar... Emma and James :-) cant say that I would rush back...

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Lough Erne. The only negative issue was that when on our first night before we went to bed we decided to have a cup of coffee, but we discovered that the 2 cups in our room were dirty, I was able to go to reception and get 2 clean cups, but when you spend over £500.00 pounds to stay 2 nights i really would expect this not to happen.

We spent a special anniversary weekend at Lough Erne with friends. Hotel staff were extremely welcoming and our dinner in Catalina restaurant was a highlight with beautiful food and excellent service. Staff even marked the occasion for us with a lovely decorated plate of chocolates which was a nice touch. We did feel that housekeeping was a bit of a let down though. On arrival our bed looked as if it hadn’t been properly made, in fact it was never done very well, and on day 2 a dirty cloth was left beside our washbasin. Not major problems in themselves but not really what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel.

On arrival our bed looked as if it hadn’t been properly made, in fact it was never done very well, and on day 2 a dirty cloth was left beside our washbasin. Not major problems in themselves but not really what I’d expect from a 5 star hotel.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Our room was so lovely overlooking the lake, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Bed extremely comfortable. Loved the stand alone bath and made good use of it. Tea maker and supply of water excellent. Staff so, so friendly and very accomodating. Breakfast extremely good, great variety. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Deeply disappointing for the price paid. ROOM 1) Fecal matter on toilet seat. We were greeted to our lake view room by fecal matter on the toilet seat. This is wholly inexcusable at any price point. To the hotel’s credit, they sent up a bottle of champagne when they came to sort the room out…the only issue being that we do not drink. Upon checkout we advised the receptionist that we had left the bottle untouched and that they could collect it. They then very kindly asked us for our email address so that they could contact us in the future. 2) The heat. The room was unbearably hot. There is no AC in the room. The duvets were also extremely dense which compounded our discomfort. 3) The insects. Despite keeping the window closed there were many files and insects. BREAKFAST We paid for breakfast when we made our booking; a fact confirmed by the front desk when we checked in. The first morning of our stay we lined up to have breakfast and were initially told that our name was not on the list. This first process took around five minutes. A second staff member came and consulted another list. Whilst the second staff member was reviewing another list the first staff member loudly proclaimed “they have unfortunately not paid for breakfast”. This was deeply embarrassing as it was heard by the very long queue behind us. The second staff member (after some searching for another few minutes) found our name on another list. We never received an apology from the first staff member.

This property was our #1 stay of the 8 places we stayed. The property was absolutely gorgeous. The rooms are very large, bathroom is beautiful and the bed was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The chocolate on the pillow is perfect. Great job folks of Lough Erne resort.

I recently stayed at Lough Erne Resort, and while the property, restaurant and Spa was lovely, our experience was marred by unacceptable noise from an event in the hotel. The noise levels were disruptive and made it difficult to relax, only sleeping after the event stopped at 1:30am. This issue significantly impacted my overall enjoyment of the stay. Note: A hotel representative has made contact since our stay - although we are unsure if we will return.

Chose not to buy breakfast but managed to get a lovely goat cheese salad late (just before 9pm) after a long drive. Lovely large rooms and bathroom which were spotless and really comfortable bed. Enjoyed the spa facilities as usual and all staff very polite.

The only area of complaint is that the hotel is very overheated and they don't have air conditioning. Talked to several staff members who agree with the heat but they have to support the patrons who are cold. There is a fan in the room but the remote control was missing. But the main point is that this hotel has the nicest and helpful staff ever. Rooms are lovely and quiet. Beautiful location.

This is a beautiful hotel and really peaceful. Ideal for a restful stay. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience when we went into the library to read and were rudely told by a member of staff to leave as she was having a meeting. There was no sign on the door to indicate this and being spoken to in this manner so early on after arrival tainted our stay and our impression of the otherwise very helpful and friendly staff. We ate in the Loughside Restaurant which was beautiful. The service and food throughout our stay could not be faulted. Unfortunately our shower had signs of wear and mould and the water was not hot enough to have a bath. In the morning time the water in the shower took some time to heat. We had an enjoyable stay but unfortunately these things were disappointing and I'm not sure I would stay again. We had stayed here previously and had a much more enjoyable stay so unfortunately this was disappointing.

We are regular travellers . It was my wife's Birthday and she has 5 weeks hence had knee replacement surgery due to injury so we decided to stay close to home . In general, the service was very poor but most upsetting as when the bar manager served us a bottle of wine and after we had one glass just drunk said there had been a mistake and we have to take this bottle back( served us the wrong bottle), this was played out in a relatively full bar and was incredibly embarrassing and pathetic service!!! (There was a guy that served us at lunch and in the evening, Gary and he was extremely helpful )Bar manager charged us for the 2 glasses we had and didn't even apologise!!! Following that the stem in my wine glass just chipped off.... barman saw it happen and gave a new one but again no offer of gesture of good will or apology. Good was very average , breakfast restaurant manager was superb but quality of the hot food was very poor, like it was reheated and not fresh as one would expect in a 5 star hotel. Overall it was a bad experience and many guests who were there had the same complaints.

A beautiful stay for myself and my 1 year old. The staff were incredible, so friendly, so helpful and even remembered my son’s name the next morning on check out which was really lovely! Housekeeping were all smiles and their work in the rooms is fantastic! What would be amazing is if they had a child play park outdoors because the scenery is stunning! Beautiful walks and just peaceful! Special mention to concierge Neal who went the extra mile for myself and my son with luggage, showing me around the hotel and the walks available on the map. Really took the time! Such a pleasant gentleman and a credit to the hotel! Cannot wait to come back! Thank you to all!

Everything was great from the moment we arrived, staff took our bags, parked our car, no queue at reception. The whole check in experience was seamless and the hotel and our room was spotless. The staff were simply superb and so welcoming and friendly. The 5 course dinner in the hotel was delicious.

We stayed at the Lough Erne Resort for a very special wedding anniversary and overall had a lovely time. The hotel made the occasion feel special with chocolates in the room and complimentary Prosecco and sweet treats in the restaurant. The Garden Room was a real highlight, very relaxing and a beautiful place to sit and relax. Our lake-view room was also lovely, and the staff throughout the hotel were excellent- friendly, efficient, and really five-star in their service. On the downside, the Wi-Fi was very poor and with no 4G it was difficult to stay in touch with family. The spa was smaller and busier than expected, with limited seating and not as luxurious as other spas we’ve visited. We also noticed small details like a cracked tile in our bathroom and missing tiles around the spa, which made the hotel feel less polished. Towels and robes were also quite rough rather than fluffy as described. Overall, we had a memorable stay and really appreciated the special touches, but a little more attention to detail would bring it up to the five-star standard.

Service was terrible in the bar area during the day and evening. Staff did not know what they were doing and were walking around with trays of drinks, not knowing what table they belonged to. On the other hand, staff in the restaurant at breakfast were well trained and very helpful. Very expensive for the experience we had. We would not stay here again.

Love this hotel and you must have dinner in the Catalina restaurant. The staff are fabulous so friendly and knowledgable. We met the head chef who was so welcoming and interesting, I really enjoyed our chat. Breakfast was gorgeous, lots of choice and proper breakfast sausages, we will be back!!!

Nice overnight stay, we did the Boatyard Distillery tour so stayed over after. Had dinner in the bar, it was fine, not bad but not great. Breakfast ok, nice to order from a menu. Room really big, lovely and very comfortable apart from pillows. Spa area very nice but dated. Beware if doing the distillery tour - it’s 5 miles from hotel but was very hard to get a taxi (and estimated to cost £30-40 each way) and hotel don’t offer transport. Only two staff members serving dinner in the bar so they were very busy, front desk staff disinterested in feedback.

Waited over half an hour for our meal and a couple who arrived and ordered the same food after us received their meal 10mins before us. Also we we’re celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary which we informed the hotel prior to our arrival however there was no mention of this not even a “happy anniversary” despite a couple infront of us checking receiving congratulations and gestures. We have stayed in other hotels (Galgorm, Farnham, Slieve Donard) and received small tokens (card or chocolates or complimentary upgrade) considering this is a 5* hotel a goodwill gesture would’ve been very much appreciated. It’s not an expectation but rather a nice touch considering the rating and also the distance we travelled to stay. Beautiful location and atmosphere however feeling slightly disappointed and glad it was only one night.
Waited over half an hour for our meal and a couple who arrived and ordered the same food after us received their meal 10mins before us. Also we we’re celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary which we informed the hotel prior to our arrival however there was no mention of this not even a “happy anniversary” despite a couple infront of us checking receiving congratulations and gestures. Super hotel and setting but £24 i paid for breakfast, no eggs available right away so I ordered 2 poached - I finished my breakfast and still no sign of the eggs 20 mins later.. even though i asked twice about them

Service was terrible in the bar area during the day and evening. Staff did not know what they were doing and were walking around with trays of drinks, not knowing what table they belonged to. On the other hand, staff in the restaurant at breakfast were well trained and very helpful. Very expensive for the experience we had. We would not stay here again.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly & the public seating areas were extremely comfortable. The grounds are beautiful to walk round. However, the bedrooms were so hot that we needed the fan on full blast constantly, the tv in one of our rooms didn’t work despite staffs attempts to fix it & the food in the Blaney Bar was mediocre for a 5 star hotel.

We booked the Presidential Suite as part of our honeymoon. Upon arrival there were issues with the room. We travel regularly and stay in 5* hotels. We believe the measure of any hotel is not how they relate to us when all as it should be but rather how they handle any issues that arise. We had a senior manager arrive in our suite within 15 minutes of us raising our concerns. We decided that moving to a different room was the easiest option and this was done swiftly and without any fuss. The remainder of our stay was simply perfect. We enjoyed room service breakfast each morning. It arrived hot thanks to the small heated boxes that came with each trolley. We ate in all 3 of the hotel restaurants and the food was well presented and delicious each time. We'd particularly like to mention James, the Catalina Restaurant Manager as his professionalism and attention shown to us made our dining experience even more special. Davy, the Concierge also deserves a mention for his friendly demeanour and helpfulness shown to us. We can't wait to return for another stay.
