The property was ok but needs a renovation which I believe is underway. It was a chilly night and if you opened the curtains the cold wind blew through a gap in the doors. The room looked dated as did the bathroom. Hot water took an age to come through and getting a balance on the shower tap between scolding hot and freezing cold needed the steady hand of a brain surgeon to get it just right(which I couldn’t get). The bar/restaurant area had basic tables and chairs and felt sterile. The main restaurant was closed , I believe for renovations, and this may be better once it is reopened. Noise from the nearby train line and planes taking off from Heathrow did disturb but hopefully, if renovated, double glazing will cure this and the cold draft. It is not a terrible hotel and the staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Parking was convenient and there is a ten pound overnight charge which is ok for parking that is lit and covered by CCTV. It is convenient for Heathrow as it is only one junction down. If you want luxury, pay the extra and stay at a Heathrow airport hotel. If you want to save a bit of money, this is probably a good option. Hopefully, a good renovation will improve the quality of the rooms.

This is a hotel in a beautiful setting on the Thames with a great outdoor cafe. The staff are amazing and each person we met went above and beyond. It's worth the stay for sure. You must be ready for lots of stairs as there is no lift. Also, the hotel is called around 3 different names depending on who you ask, so that can be confusing. Regardless, the staff and setting make this hotel a must visit.

Lovey hotel, great location for our trip to Thorpe Park. Reasonable priced parking, 10.00 for 24hrs. Would be fab if free 😀

Very good state of decoration in public areas and in the bedroom. Friendly staff, comfortable lounges and bar and peaceful terrace overlooking the River Thames. Good wifi, bed a super king size, large TV, probably 45". Bathroom had a bath and shower combination. Very good buffet breakfast including mixed fruit. The original hotel facia is attractive, pity about the large metal container in the adjacent car park. Great for walks along the river and the shops and market.

Not one was in the bar and they charge me £10 for parking

We stayed over before a trip to LEGOland. Parking was onsite and cheap (£5 for 24 hours), the breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious and comfortable.

When i arrived from walking from the station. The receptionist advised my room was on 2nd fllof and no lift. I was quite out of breath so she kindly gave me upgrade to ground floor room with doors opening and i could view the river. The hotel bedrooms could do with a face lift to modernise them. Also, i was on the toilet and noticed a creepy crawley on the floor so removed it to utside. Otherwise a very nice stay with breakfast.

The property itself was really nice and location was good as it is right next to the shopping centre which has everything. There is also a nice little walk you can do by the thames river. However you do have to pay for parking which I think should be included in the price. It is £10 per day.

The downside for this came at nearly 1am when the fire alarm went off. We went outside with the rest of the guests but there was no one from the hotel staff to tell us where to go or what was going on. It was only about 5-10 minutes we were outside, and it turned out to be a false alarm, but no one from the staff told us, it was other guests. In the morning, there was no mention of this at reception when we checked out, no apology or explanation. To add to that, myself and my husband had terrible night sleep, there was no air conditioning in the room and it got really hot. When we opened the balcony to get some air, the sound from the VERY nearby trains woke us up consistently so we ended up having to close those and just sweat it out a bit. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing or quiet hotel, I wouldn't be staying here again.

The staff were lovely. The public areas were clean and looked nice. The room was a different story. The bed, bed linen and towels were clean. However, one of the sockets had blown and had not been replaced. The bathroom shower curtain rail and shower head were rusty. The bathroom bin had not been emptied, neither had the bin been cleaned. The bathroom mirror was murky. There were pubic hairs on and under the toilet seat. The toilet seat and soap dish were broken. The room was overlooking the car park and not having air conditioning the window had to be kept open. The room was noisy and the occupant was unable to sleep due to the noise.

Bathroom in need of updates and repairs . No one at reception. Dining, breakfast, bar all operated by others than hotel, however we’re told to go tell front reception desk to pay…no one at reception. Also, since we expected the bar to notify hotel of amount, we were woken by person from bar who said we had to go pay at reception. Nice location on river but needs repairs. Room had strong smell of mold. Dirty linens were piled most of the day in hallways.

Room for 2 people however only 1 bath towels given. One sheet was dirty and there was a pack of left over sweets in the side table.

1st room did not have a view stairs in front of window and I paid extra for a room with a river view which they did. Change the room the room that they put us in had a river side view with patio but no seating just a broken box The room was not serviced after the 1st night and had to ask for towels and tea and coffee

However, there were a few issues, but can’t complain for the price. My room was right next to the road, so there was quite a bit of noise from outside, and I could also hear people in the corridor and above, especially when they were walking, as the floorboards creaked constantly. I noticed a few ants in both the bathroom and bedroom, a hair in one of the cups, and a few on the pillows, along with some marks on the bedsheets. Despite these issues, it served its purpose as a convenient overnight stay near Heathrow - just needs a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness.

Room was dirty. Refrigerator wasn’t there, although hole for it and outlet was. Only one sheet on the mattress and none for the comforter. Bathroom ent fan non functional. Bedside light initially non functional and had to be replaced. No mention in literature that there was no elevator. Our room (77) was up steep stairs and also halfway down another staircase to access. I would say however, the breakfast was good. I would not return to this place, and I NEVER usually make a complaint like this. Thank goodness it was only for one night. This hotel is old, nothing wrong with that but the rooms really need tlc. Upgraded to a river view room. Unable to open doors due to a restricter cable. Pictures on website look like you can. No aircon. Room and bathroom was in good condition and clean. Shower pressure terrible, toilet also quite hard d to flush. Check in took an age! Outside of hotel and stairways are tired need refurbishing

Was visiting Thorpe Park so got back to the room late and left when we were ready the next day. Nice hotel. Comfortable beds and room had both bath and shower.

Overall the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy . The room was so warm with no air conditioning and the fan provided didn’t do much to help with the heat . There wasn’t many sockets to charge phones etc etc . The room needs updating very quickly it was very dated . The balcony was a nice addition to the room but would of been nicer if it was partitioned off from The next room.

Shocked to find out there was no hot water in the showers only when we went to shower. Asked reception staff and they told us their water boiler had been broken for a while. The minifridge also doesn’t work in all rooms. Although the staff were understanding and accommodating and let us shower in another room, it was extremely frustrating that we weren’t told this at check in. They also said they had no rooms to switch us into. We got a family room with the sofa bed and there was no duvet for the sofa bed either. Overall, an extremely disappointing stay even if the staff were kind.

Our stay was delightfully relaxing. The staff was very capable and professional - and all we encountered were friendly and helpful. We’d not hesitate to stay here again!

I loved it here! You couldn’t ask for nicer people. Helpful, personable, and friendly staff. The beds I am going to miss, best beds ever! I loved my stay. Close to the bus station and train station. I walked to both every day I was there. Anything I needed, even when it was out of the realm of their service, they helped me with. Brilliant staff!

We booked a room for one night to be closer to Heathrow Airport for a flight the next day. After confirming that a late night check in was available, we arrived around 10.30 pm. We were offered a wake up call at checkin which was thoughtful. We asked for a nightcap at the bar, and were told he could bring it to our rooms if we wanted to. We spent a pleasant half hour having a drink and chatting to the staff. When we retired to our room, again more drinks were offered through room service. The room was very clean. The air con machine was not producing any cold air, so we turned it off as it was not worth the noise. The hotel has been decorated to keep the place maintained, but it is dated, and there is only so much a lick of paint do. Needs a proper renovation. But, as the paying guest wants a 5 star stay at a 1 star price, I feel for these businesses. Would I stay here again? Yes, it was within a 20 minutes rush hour drive to Heathrow, the beds were comfy, there was paid parking on site and the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Young lady at reception was very helpful and changed our room to one downstairs.

Ideal location for picking up passengers from Heathrow and a surprisingly quiet location next to a busy road. Got last space in the hotel car park but another car park was next to theirs. Only stayed for a short period to sleep only. Had we stayed for breakfast we would have enjoyed the view over the Thames. Very dog friendly. Didn’t eat so can’t comment on food.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and cozy. Location is next to the river, and is a beautiful setting. We will definitely stay again!

Quiet room, I heard no traffic noise from the large road outside. Centrally located. It is close to a good shopping centre if you are looking for food.

Such good value for money given its location near Heathrow. Sitting on the banks of the Thames, it’s well worth a stay before flying.

Excellent value for money. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good position on the river bank and an easy walk into the town centre if you need to.

Restaurant was fab, food and drink was hreat. No lift to floors. Its no longer a Mecure hotel and also doesn't say 'Sunday' hotel outside. Room was comfortable but with an overpowering smell of damp which transferred to ny clothes. Due to this i wouldn't choose to stay here again

Run down hotel. Not enough towels for occupants in room. Bathroom is very old. Lack of ventilation when it's warm. Breakfast is tasty.

We stayed at this hotel following the fire at Heathrow airport that cancelled our flight. The price was perfect, the location was amazing and the staff were just incredible. From Magda in the morning that made sure breakfast was always a wonderful start to the day to Kira that served us drinks and dinner in the evenings. They were both incredible and are an immense asset to the hotel! The rooms were very comfortable, the food was plentiful and great quality! I would recommend this hotel for anyone in the area of Heathrow. It is not right at the airport, but a quick 20 minutes by taxi. Because of this, the traveler is close to the airport but away from the hustle and bustle associated with the airport. Shops are very close by, the train station is near as well as a large number of bus routes.

Easy check in, comfortable and clean. The only negative was the breakfast which was terrible! For £17.50 per head I expect a little bit better.

Bathroom was terrible. Hard time adjusting water temperature. Water leaked everywhere when taking a shower. On the reverse side the breakfast was excellant.
