Residence Inn by Marriott Ventura Beach

I've stayed @ this property before the renovation & after. The difference is night & day & the renovation was definitely needed. The rooms have been updated & refreshed to modern tastes & not stuck 20yrs in the past like pre renovation. I enjoyed the king suite with my wife & myself, we decided on the upgraded room as it was only something like 20$ more. This was well worth the $, the room was inviting & had more then enough room for the both of us. The bed was comfortable & i didn't have any problems with my back in the morning like other hotels in the past. You know the budget ones im talking about. They always got that light on for u & a pain in the neck the next day. They also have a great breakfast that is every morning & on the weekend it's a whole kind of breakfast spectacular eve everything breakfast for the most part is there. They also have tennis,racquetball courts & i believe a few pickleball court's now as well. Overall i would pull the trigger on the place especially if you want to be a short driving distance to the Beach. Or are looking to play in the Ocean plenty of surfing, boating & deep sea fishing as well. As well as a few shopping centers & local restaurants. Overall the ppl & Vibe is laid back & will leave an impression on u that you will want to come back for more. This nice & upcoming beach town. Is starting to get it's legs under it & it's booming with things to do for the family & plenty for touristy folks alike. Enjoy your stay @ the Casa!

Clean room, kitchen and common areas. However, I was overcharged and staff was not helpful in resolving the issue.

Everything was fantastic … our keys didn’t work at first and the person working the counter was very nice and moved us to a different room and reported it to maintenance.
