Studio 6-Albuquerque, NM - North

This is the worst facility in over 20 years. The floors were filthy, the room in disrepair, the toilet stopped up when we arrived but no reply. I had to use a plunger myself. No room cleaninqg over 3 nights, no usual amenities like hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner, no waste basket, 2 lites weren’t working, and more. The soap I used for my shower (motel 6 brand) literally crumbles when I went to use it. When I asked a service person why these issues - “well it’s a cheap motel what did you expect”. I don’t consider $525 for 3 nights a cheap hotel. The cover, that was placed under the sheet was itchy to my wife. When the toilet finally overflowed I asked for towels and someone to take care of it all. I was told I’m too busy with check ins and you’ll have to wait unless you want to come down and do it yourself. In addition there was a safety issue. The lighting in the staircase closet to us and 2 other couples was out. Dark as could be - could be a misstep, assault etc. We were traveling with 3 other couples which you will similar feedback. One couple had no towels when they walked in. One had to change rooms - bed bugs. In all my years of personal travel as well as for work this is the worst place I’ve ever stayed at. Just so you don’t think I’m some type that only stays and high end places I’m not but this is the lowest level I’ve had to drop into I really hope to see this on Expedia reviews. People need to know just how bad this place is

The room was FILTHY when I first entered. I had to go and buy cleaning supplies and scrub the walls, air conditioner, fridge, stove top, tub, sink, EVERYTHING. Both the bathroom and kitchen sink don’t drain. It smells like someone has smoked 5 packs of cigarettes a day in there for 30 years despite it being a non-smoking room. There were stains all over the sheets and comforter so I ended up buying my own sheets and blankets so I wouldn’t have to sleep in other people’s body fluids. The stove top didn’t work. The washing machines were all out of service. Other guests would smoke meth in the parking lot. DO NOT STAY HERE.

We booked for a week because it was a cheaper price but when we got there we realized why it was cheaper....the room smelled stale and the floor turned our socks black. After about three days their card making machine for the doors was broken and we had to be let in our room by "staff" every time we left because our keys mysteriously stopped working. There were people living on the OUTSIDE of the building in the corners and walking around at all hours.

It has a lot of trees. This mutes the urban environment. Pleasant place to stay. Nice staff. Parking is a little tight.

Not enough room to park No soap no top sheet heater sounded like helicopter no pots pans glasses

Stayed for one night during Balloon Fiesta, and it was adequate for our needs. However, I would not recommend unless you are absolutely devoid of other options. The outdoor corridors were filthy. It appeated as though gang and vagrant activity was happening on the property. The buildings were defaced by graffiti. The room was okay, but not thoroughly cleaned. Sheets were stained. Also, I had to return to the office 4 times because the keys they were giving me did not work. The one bright spot was the gentleman at the front office, who was the only employee on property on the busiest night of the year. He genuinely cared and was also overwhelmed through no fault of his own. Whatever they're paying him, it's not enough.

No pool. $150 “deposit” because I have an instate license. I live about 3 hours away and was back for a day to visit. I got harassed at the front desk. They also wanted it in cash. I don’t carry cash. Not clean. Bed meh. No parking near my room. Don’t stay. It was “cheap” but they played “deposit fee” for what I do not know. It wasn’t worth the worry on my car or the lacking amenities.

Overall a shabby room; laminate flooring peeling up in the entryway. The toilet had some disgusting grunge in the bottom that looked like someone cleaned out their backhoe in it. The floor was the worst; laminate and tile flooring that I had to mop myself, as it was so dirty I wrecked two towels mopping it up myself. Even then me feet still were dirty after walking on it. The stairway leading up to the second floor. I was utterly pitch black; I had to use my iPhone to make sure I didn’t trip and break my neck. I mean, I know it’s motel six, I know you get what you pay for. But most Motel sixes that I have stayed at before, were not as decrepit as this one. Avoid.

Lives up to its name as a budget hotel. First room I tried to check into the electronic key entry was dead, so they switched me to another room. I had to get a new key every day of my week-long stay which was inconvenient. Apparently the keys weren't staying "keyed". Bathroom was questionably clean. Maintenance had to come fix the fridge during my stay - let's just say as a former housekeeper I can't believe housekeeping missed an iced over freezer and a warm fridge. Hotel didn't seem to have enough towels. TV only sorta worked. The only good thing about it was how cheap it was and access to the freeway. Would not stay again.

The place is very conveniently situated, low priced and not on an especially loud avenue. Overall, I was very grateful for such a good deal and I am not highly devoted to plush surroundings but am to functional and convenient standards. All it took was to snake one's way out of the parking onto Osuna, catch the Pan American Freeway and onto one's destination. If you refrain from complaints your stay become a pleasant one as there is very little to complain about. It is clearly a popular location patronized by 60% working people, of which I was not one, I was a visitor. The establishment is showing wear and tear and could use some maintenance as my room had loose screws and a loose countertop. Someone else owns the machines in the laundry and you have to be careful and ask the front desk person which ones work so you don't lose your money. Building 3 had poor wifi signal and Building 2 worked sometimes. Some parts of the porches and landscaping are heavily trod upon and dirty looking while other parts look pristine. The tenants seemed to value their privacy. Front desk personnel always got me what I wanted but I never asked for much.

Very unkempt room. Bullet holes in walls. Bathroom door had huge holes on it. Kille about 40 cockroaches before checking out 4 night early due to conditions. Felt unsafe. Saw a gun being sold in parking lot and drug deals and homeless people all around the grounds

This place was terrible. Heavy stale cigarette smoke, so bad that our clothes and belongings absorbed the smell and lingered for days. We saw cockroaches. Our bed was missing the top sheet. Bathroom floor was filthy under the sink vanity.

The entire place was filthy. Parking lot was very rough. Building was in very bad condition. Front desk was behind a wall with bullet proof glass. Room reaked of smoke and urine. Homeless outside rooms and in parking lot. Very dangerous feel to location.

Not sanitary. Uncomfortable. Smoke detector removrd, tv no operational. Flimsy bed and bedding. Dirt everywhere.

THIS HOTEL IS THE WORSE HOTEL I HAVE EVER EVER STAYED AT....DISGUSTING : FIRST OF ALL I GOT BIT BY BED BUGS, SO I WILL HAVE TO REPORT THEM TO THE HEALTH OFFICIALS, IT STUNK LIKE HELL INCLUDING MOLD AND CIGARETTES, AND THERE WAS CRAP ALL OVER THE TOILET..... JUST UNBELIEVABLE DISGUSTING. THE MATTRESS WAS SO STAINED AND STINKY AND FULL OF BEDBUG DROPPING... THE FLOOR STICKY AND DIRTY, THE WALLS HORRIBLY DIRTY AND A HOLE IN THE CEILING DOG CRAP ALL OVER THE SURROUNDINGS AS WELL, I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS HOTEL I STILL STANDING, IT ACTUALLY LOOKS NICE FROM THE OUTSIDE BUT SICKENING IN THE INSIDE. I HAD TO PUT ALL MY BELONGINGS IN A BAG AND WILL KEEP IT ALL FOR ONE MONTH TO HOPEFULLY KILL THE BEDBUGS IN MY LUGGAGE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CHOSE A DIFFERENT HOTEL, WHATEVER THE COST MAY BE

Terrible hotel. I booked 3 rooms and a friend booked another. The floor was filthy and after talking my shower and walking in the room my feet were black. The shower was moldy. Beds were uncomfortable. The light in the stairwell was not working and using the stairwell was unsafe at night. The smoke detector cover was missing. The towels were like shop garage towels. One of rooms had bugs in the bed and had to change rooms. Another room the cammode overflowed. The working refrig was the best part of the room.

Soo many roaches! And nightly fights in the parking lot from drug addicts and drunk people. Along with the broken glass pipes and fresh garbage on the stairs. No maintance to pick up trash and all the residents just throw their bags under the stairs where it stays for days til somone gets it. I had at least 6 people approach me and my husband asking if we "needed anything" crepy place, over priced and full of roaches. GROSS!

There were always around 5 to 7 homeless persons outside our building. I witnessed large amounts of cash being exchanged for drugs in the parking lot. When we were leaving in the morning we had to maneuver around 2 people in the stairway sorting 3 large buckets of freshly cut Marijuana leaves. I reported this to the front desk but they didn't care to do anything about it. When we first checked into our room there was no TV. They switched us to another room with a TV but no remote to turn it on with and no coffee maker. We eventually were given access to a third room to rob it of its coffee maker and remote. Also had to return to the front desk to get some soap and shampoo which were also missing. Half the light bulbs in the room were missing and they were never replaced even though they assured us they would. Very dirty and our bed had food crumbs in it from the prior guests. I hope you can visualize what this place was like. I looked at the reviews and there are a number of 10/10 reviews given over the past 8 months by the same person. Don't believe it!

The walls were especially dirty, black marks on the wall and trim. Patches on the walls unpainted The counters had grease residual on them. The bed felt like it was going to fall off the frame. I woke up to spiders in the bathtub. The walls are so thin you could hear everything going on upstairs. to top this stay off I woke up to get a drink of water and I seen COCKROACHES running on the counters. NEVER AGAIN

Not worth the money. Asked front desk clerk for fresh towels and she required that I bring the soiled towels to her first. Floors looked unkept, no daily cleaning. Neighbors were so loud that I couldn't sleep; paper thin walls. Not satisfied with my week's stay. Going back to La Quinta.

Nice enough but our room was not very clean dust on the closet shelf grime in bathroom corners and mold around tub Drawer broken 1 lamp bulb missing

The first thing that upset me was finding 5 pot joints within plain site with the room. No pots or pans. Bath towels were small. Broken floor panels. Noisy neighbors that office wouldn’t no take care of. Lastly office was supposed to be open at 7 am but did not show up to after 7:30. Will not stay there again.

We had 5 cockroaches, about 1 each day, in our unit. The floor was dirty. It was dark, fake wood and you couldnt see dirt, but walking barefoot for a few minutes made the bottoms of your feet black with dirt. The bed was very hard and slighlty lump. My ribs hurt every morning. We had booked a room with two beds but had to take a room with one bed.

We unfortunately had to call the police on multiple occasions, there was a guy couple doors down who broke a window, very loud. Room was okay, liked the amenities inside but wouldn’t stay again.

The room smelled and was dirty. No hot water in the shower. Furniture was broken and dirty

No top sheet on the bed, only a fuzzy blanket against your skin,no closet door, no hangers in the closet. I made the mistake of walking barefooted in the room only to have black bottoms on my feet. Charged me a $20.00 fee for my dog and she was cleaner than the room. Plus a $50.00 deposit to have the dog in the room. Who knows if I will ever get that back. And this is a Studio 6. What a pit!

Didnt stay at the hotel. We arrived but no one was at the front desk to check us in. I ended up renting a different hotel. I called the hotel the next day, they stated they would refund me. Im waiting for the refund

It's been great because of the amazing price and studio setup. I’ve never before stayed in a motel with a full-size fridge and stove for cooking anything I want! It’s pretty unbelievable to get this for $40/night by booking online (for 7+ nights). But what also made this place great was Jessica at the front desk. She made me feel comfortable by addressing all of my needs and concerns, such as providing a spoon which I had forgotten, where to get coins for the self-serve laundry, and even making sure I got the best price on my bookings. Thank you, Jessica! I’m staying here because I am in Albuquerque looking for a job and possible apartment for longer-term living. But even if I stayed put at Studio 6, the price would actually be livable. There have been no insect friends in my room! A downside of being here, though, is that it’s close to a lot of cars passing by, which makes it trickier to go for a quiet, peaceful walk. My room also smelled musty when I got here; it feels like an older building. However, I got used to it and have been in good health while I’ve been here. I’m grateful to Studio 6 and it’s been a great way to make my entrance in New Mexico, which I hope may become my home. P.S. I am a youngish woman and have had no safety concerns in my first 10 days here. All I overheard was one couple arguing. Everyone has seemed to mind their own business.

Waited for an hour for someone to check us in. Nobody showed up at the desk. So we left to use the bathroom and eat. Came back and waited 45 minutes. Finally someone came out with bloodshot eyes and pulling his pants up and tried to give me a discount but I asked him to cancel our stay and we left. Other people were waiting too, saying they didn't have blankets or toilet paper. Another two individuals, both said their keys had quit working and they couldn't get back in their rooms.

I and 7 other people waited for 45 minutes for the front desk clerk to arrive and when he finally did arrive he had a lot of excuses as to why he wasn't there pertaining to maintenance issues.

This place doesn’t even deserve a one star rating. The area itself was scary and unsafe. We tried to check in at the time check in starts and we had to wait an additional 20 minutes just for the staff to print out a list. We couldn’t even properly check into the office because it was locked. We had to use a small window to check in. The staff were extremely rude and the rooms were absolutely DISGUSTING. I was in utter disbelief with how atrocious our room was. It was not clean. You could tell the floor had not been swept and mopped. I didn’t even want to sleep on the bed. The fridge and tv didn’t work and mind you this was an extended stay. If I could warn any normal person to NOT stay at this property I most definitely would. It’s a waste of your time and money.

I will never stay with studio six again the first problem was they canceled my reservation that I paid for for two weeks because I did not show up to the hotel on Sunday by 11 PM after driving 26 hours to get to New Mexico. Then after renting the hotel room again they locked me out of my room twice and and after getting off at night i had to get back in my car to go to the office for a new key definitely was not something i wanted to do in the dark, the second time they stated that i only rented the room for one week instead of two weeks that I paid for. it just wasn’t a great experience Overall. We also had to go into the room and bleach it clean And put our own sheets and blankets on before we could even feel comfortable inside.

Took an extra $100 “deposit” and create all these rules you have to jump through in order to get refund. You have to have someone come look at your room to get rerun but then they aren’t on site for the hours they say they are.

The staff is fantastic! Juan 2 and Juan 3 go out of there way to make any necessary repairs and should be highly commended! Great service guys!!! The gentlemen that checked me in and the sweet lady that's works during the day are also very accommodating and very respectful of your needs. I felt safe and secure throughout my 3 week stay. i didn’t get no help after i checked in the key for the room didn’t work i was waiting for 2 hours

I didn’t get any sleep. I found out from the locals the next morning that ex-cons stay at this hotel and others along this street. Drug deals occur in and around the hotel. Someone tried to break into my room! Luckily I had all the extra deadbolts locked. Needless to say, this area is dangerous! I waited until morning and got the hell out of there.

The best thing that I can say about this property was that the AC worked well and there was good water pressure in the shower. Property/parking lot had needles and alcohol refuse scattered. Illicit drug use on property. The office did not answer their phone: three attempts over two days. Overall, very shabby. Not good.

The room it self was comfortable and clean. The hotel is diffently in a not so good area. As you come towards the hotel there are ALOT of homeless pepole wondering around. And on the night I check in there were 3 cop cars out front of the building.

Top notch desk clerks, just trying to do what they could with what little they have. The customers kept to themselves for the most part. This is obviously a place with long term residents, and those guests are polite and helpful. The first room was filthy, with dead roaches everywhere. We had to ask for a new room and the clerk was helpful and apologized for the condition of the room. My wife and i went and bought cleaning supplies because the floors were literally dirty. No bed bugs or fleas or roaches in the final room where we spent our vacation. Homeless folks and drug users and sex workers do not bother me, but this might bother people who are more sensitive to social issues. I would stay here again for the price. Great location, close to shopping centers and the freeway.

The property is in pretty good shape there's a lot of homeless people and drug addicts in the neighborhood but that's because the cheap price so the prices great

There was nothing to like, and the "kitchenette" was a hot plate. No coffee maker, no cups, no anything, no ice machine, no shampoo...

Is a good place to host for 1 or 3 days, is comfortable is you are planning just sleep ort pass few minutes in the hotel. Room have a small but well prepare kitchen with refrigerator, kitchen griddle, microwave , coffee maker. The restroom is clean and have hot water Some of the light do not work good , but it was not important for me ;)

The location of this Studio 6 was convenient and the property condition was average. I saw roaches crawlingb around on the floor daily. The best part was the cost/night. However, the Management was never visible. The reception staff was not always available and the main reception entry was locked. You had to talk through a small window, just like being in a prison. Very sad. Also the reception staff never had anything on hand I was asking for. For example no dishes and utensils, coffee, etc. Thank you. However, I will not recommend this property to my friends.

Rooms have that studio apt look and feel.

Due to a store in Dallas, we got stuck at airport and our reservation was cancel. Once at the site they understood and gave us a new reservation and a room accessible for disabled which needed. The staff where helpful every time and provided references of food and parking around town. The bathroom door was damaged and did not closed. It was quite and the beds a fantastic blessing. Thank you to all who work there and I contact management to express our thanks.

As I have been looking for an apartment because I am moving back to Albuquerque, I have been stay here at the Sudio 6 motel. The staff have been wonderful when I have needed to ask questions. Upon arrival, the room I was assigned was clean and I really liked the fact that it had a microwave and refrigerator, even a small stove. These being extremely helpful as to save me money from not having to eat out all the time which can be expensive to do. I would recomment this place to anyone wether they are here for just a night or like myself here for an extended stay, plus they are pet friendly which is awesome because I have a dog.

We were asked to leave the property after my boy friend who shared the room with me for at least three months decided to help someone out in the parking lot with his bike. We did not know this person was not allowed on the property. I paid on time and kept my room clean. Also, I did not like how they raised the rent from $40 a night to $65 dollars a night. Their washers and dryers need to be cleaned once and a while. There needs to be an overnight person in the office because the card keys to get in your room didn't work all the time, leaving someone who works graveyard shift wait for assistance from 11pm to 7am to get back in the room. Sometimes they don't return until after 8 am. The cable went out a few times, once it was for two weeks. No continental breakfast or coffee. What I did like about the place was there was access to a few restaurants and the beginning low price of $40 a night which was inflated toward the last few weeks of my stay. I liked the refrigerator, stove and microwave and free wifi.

What was unique is the cash deposit but it was nice to get it back right when we checked out other than that our two day stay was not bad at all especially for how much it was it was pretty great experience an it was nice to have a kitchen in the room .... Thanks
