Everything was great except not many living room space, 20$ for a towel is ridiculous wheb you're paying 70$ for a box with a bed. The actual capsule is cozy, clean and lovely overall however even when you close the AC there's wind that passes through and its right next to your ears so i woke up stuffy and ear ache

A great unique experience. But for a middle aged man, once is enough. Rooms are super quiet and beds are comfy. Fans built into the rooms provide some fresh air. Lots of shower and restrooms. Everything is kept very clean. Common area is very small with limited seating but has great snacks and coffees available for purchase. Lockers are provided but Unfortunately during a bathroom break my tablet and messenger bag were stolen from the common area

Love the idea of this hostel but need some refinements. There is a tiny fan hidden in the sideboard for ventilation but far too insufficient and when it is on there are bright lights on the buttons making it difficult to sleep. I was not told I needed to pay a deposit to get a towel so that was inconvenient when I discovered there were no towels in washroom. There is insufficient drainage and ventilation in showers so already mold developing. More led light strips are required along the floor where there are unseen steps. Again, great concept just needs work.

Great experience! the pod beds were super clean, comfortable and quiet. The shared lockers and washrooms were great but could use around the hour cleanliness service due to high use and number of people at hotel. Close to transport and main attractions, lots of eating and food options. Suggest:expansion and adding sitting/dinning area on ground floor with natural light and street views. Also recommend creating a women’s only pod hotel. Also recommend a full clothing and no foul language policy in hotel.Definitely will recommend!

Embedded in a well-equipped welcoming, facilitating, and warmhearted staff, the capsule is an absolute hit to experience. While all tech in place, finding yourself in a cabin high enough to sit upright, long enough to lay top to toe, buttons to press allow your stars at the ceiling, reading light, mirror light, shelf light, or even watching TV, you sleep like a log and raise refreshed. Check on the lock and unlock, and buttons to optimum use, if needed ask the team. Make use of the large (even holding large suitcases) and the little locker (laptops books dayuse) that come with each capsule. Have a nice warm shower, use the provided towel, integrate at the wash basins, at the little launch using the washing machine, the hand-out wall to buy treats, toothpaste, technical stuff, taking a beverage at the coffee machine, the purifying water tap, or just read or talk, laptop work at the couch or at the tables. Ready to go for the day, ready to come back, easy to find and walk up St Laurant's arriving by the 747 bus from the airport at Levesque, any time in and out for its staff present 24/7. Go experience it! It is purely unique!

Solo female traveller. Three nights. It was great for what I needed: an affordable, safe place to sleep located within walking distance of the Convention center during the metro strike. This section of Boul Saint-Laurent is a bit sketchy; the adjacent buildings are abandoned, but I did not see drug paraphernalia near the hotel, and I did not feel unsafe. It is very well located to access pretty much anything. There is a coffee shop and a pharmacy nearby. There is no parking on site but there is an affordable outdoor parking lot less than 5 min away on Milton ave. My capsule (double bed) was clean and smelled fresh upon arrival and they were able to accomodate me with an early check in. The mattress is thin; if you have back problems, it may not be right for you. I found the bathrooms, showers and the lockers clean and did not notice any musty smell like some older reviews mentioned. The toilets' water tanks are very slow to fill after flushing so I found that many people did not take the time to flush properly, leaving it for the next person to flush. Think of it like a youth hostel with more privacy. If I could make a suggestion to management it would be to have a proper place for people to store their shoes as I found that the hallways are crowded with boots, slippers, umbrellas... The hallways are very dark and it is a tripping hazard. There is a coffee machine in the basement and vending machines. I enjoyed the experience and would come back :)

My wife and I stayed here because we wanted an inexpensive way to stay in Montreal, and we didn’t need anything more than a bed. It’s basically a hostel, but with doors in front of the bunk beds…and the bunk beds have a TV, which we didn’t care about. We probably won’t go again. The people behind the desk were good people, but literally were wore sorry clothes and didn’t look like they had had showered in a while. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, though a bit claustrophobic. The heater / cooling wasn’t very exact, so we got a little hot during the the night. The bathroom experience was ok…quite a few people when we were there spreading their stuff all over the floor. In the photos they have people sitting in the “rooms” chatting with other people who are staying. That would never happen, because the hall is almost totally dark. No one is hanging out. This probably comes across as a negative review, but it was what it was. I felt safe there, and there was lots of different types of people staying there. It wasn’t our thing. In the future, I would stay at an actual hostel, because then I feel like it would be more of a meeting/community experience. This was a bit weird, and we don’t plan on staying at a place like this again.

Pod itself was very clean! Bathrooms were clean (a little musty though), and they provided sandals to use in the bathroom area. Common space to eat is a bit small, but otherwise alright. Also, staff was very helpful! One thing to note -- the power in the pod was accompanied by lit up buttons. If you wanted the air/fan on, you needed the power and thus the lights on, an eye-mask might be necessary if that bothers you. Also, bring earplugs, it is a pod after all! Mostly I liked how close it was to fun things to see in Montreal.

I found that the bathroom floors were not clean, the towels service sufficed but the quality of towels was less than a typical gym, the capsule was comfortable enough to sleep in but getting in and out was awkward, the air conditioning was kind of hidden, and the LED lights around the buttons on the control panel do not go out, even with your own space you don't feel like you have privacy. I do say if it was cleaner and that the capsules were bigger it can be a good thing. The staff were friendly. Thankfully I was not at the hotel the whole time.

Parfait pour quelques nuits. Tres bien situé au coeur de la ville (quartier des arts et Chinatown) et proche metro St Laurent. Les jeunes a l'accueil sont adorables et offrent un bon service. Pour le reste faut avoir une bonne tolérance au bruit (moteur de la ventilation, portes qui claquent, et des gens qui ne sont pas toujours bien respectueux dans la zone de dortoir). Pour le dortoir faut aimer les matelas durs (1.5 pouces d'épais). La propreté est correcte dans le dortoir mais dans les zones douches et toilettes c'est vraiment pas ça. Encore là les gens qui ne nettoient pas derriere eux et/ou qui rentrent avec les chaussures d'extérieur alors qu'on te propose des sandales à l'accueil... Pour le prix ça reste un bon deal.

The capsule was clean and spacious. Amenities were provided - common space and showers were clean. I recommend earplugs for the stay if you are sensitive to noise. The staff were very helpful and kind.

The room itself was clean, but the showers and common areas were dirty. Water was pooling on the floors of every shower and the entire area smells moldy. I think this could be an easy fix with additional cleaning and ventilation. I had an idea of what to expect for the price though.

J’avais de hautes attentes, mais c’était moins technologique que ce que j’avais envisagé. C’était davantage un dortoir déguisé en capsules. Pas d’insonorisation, portes qui claquent et son de serrure qui ouvrent troublaient le sommeil. Climatisation dans la capsule insuffisante… Les installations étaient neuves et propres, mais juste un peu plus d’attention à la finition et pousser un peu plus loin le confort des capsules aurait bonifié l’expérience. Vis qui dépassait du mur dans la chambre. Il faudrait aussi qu’au Check in on nous rassure sur les mesures de sécurité en cas d’incendies. On s’est inquiété lorsque qu’on a vu qu’il fallait passer par un bouton électrique pour ouvrir les portes de la chambre de l’intérieur.

Clearly most of the guests were not aware of the quiet hours. I heard noise all around me through the night. I couldn’t get good sleep throughout my 3-nights stay. I don’t understand the use of those regulations without proper enforcement. Each capsule got unexpectedly poor noise insulation. I could hear every step of the guest at night. There were elderly in the hotel where they could barely get into the capsule on neither the upper nor lower one. Facility was poorly managed. Terrible experience ever.

Everything was great except not many living room space, 20$ for a towel is ridiculous wheb you're paying 70$ for a box with a bed. The actual capsule is cozy, clean and lovely overall however even when you close the AC there's wind that passes through and its right next to your ears so i woke up stuffy and ear ache

I found that the bathroom floors were not clean, the towels service sufficed but the quality of towels was less than a typical gym, the capsule was comfortable enough to sleep in but getting in and out was awkward, the air conditioning was kind of hidden, and the LED lights around the buttons on the control panel do not go out, even with your own space you don't feel like you have privacy. I do say if it was cleaner and that the capsules were bigger it can be a good thing. The staff were friendly. Thankfully I was not at the hotel the whole time.

Solo female traveller. Three nights. It was great for what I needed: an affordable, safe place to sleep located within walking distance of the Convention center during the metro strike. This section of Boul Saint-Laurent is a bit sketchy; the adjacent buildings are abandoned, but I did not see drug paraphernalia near the hotel, and I did not feel unsafe. It is very well located to access pretty much anything. There is a coffee shop and a pharmacy nearby. There is no parking on site but there is an affordable outdoor parking lot less than 5 min away on Milton ave. My capsule (double bed) was clean and smelled fresh upon arrival and they were able to accomodate me with an early check in. The mattress is thin; if you have back problems, it may not be right for you. I found the bathrooms, showers and the lockers clean and did not notice any musty smell like some older reviews mentioned. The toilets' water tanks are very slow to fill after flushing so I found that many people did not take the time to flush properly, leaving it for the next person to flush. Think of it like a youth hostel with more privacy. If I could make a suggestion to management it would be to have a proper place for people to store their shoes as I found that the hallways are crowded with boots, slippers, umbrellas... The hallways are very dark and it is a tripping hazard. There is a coffee machine in the basement and vending machines. I enjoyed the experience and would come back :)

My wife and I stayed here because we wanted an inexpensive way to stay in Montreal, and we didn’t need anything more than a bed. It’s basically a hostel, but with doors in front of the bunk beds…and the bunk beds have a TV, which we didn’t care about. We probably won’t go again. The people behind the desk were good people, but literally were wore sorry clothes and didn’t look like they had had showered in a while. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, though a bit claustrophobic. The heater / cooling wasn’t very exact, so we got a little hot during the the night. The bathroom experience was ok…quite a few people when we were there spreading their stuff all over the floor. In the photos they have people sitting in the “rooms” chatting with other people who are staying. That would never happen, because the hall is almost totally dark. No one is hanging out. This probably comes across as a negative review, but it was what it was. I felt safe there, and there was lots of different types of people staying there. It wasn’t our thing. In the future, I would stay at an actual hostel, because then I feel like it would be more of a meeting/community experience. This was a bit weird, and we don’t plan on staying at a place like this again.

Pod itself was very clean! Bathrooms were clean (a little musty though), and they provided sandals to use in the bathroom area. Common space to eat is a bit small, but otherwise alright. Also, staff was very helpful! One thing to note -- the power in the pod was accompanied by lit up buttons. If you wanted the air/fan on, you needed the power and thus the lights on, an eye-mask might be necessary if that bothers you. Also, bring earplugs, it is a pod after all! Mostly I liked how close it was to fun things to see in Montreal.

È la mia prima volta in un capsule hotel e non ne sono rimasto affatto deluso. Personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile, letto comodo e comunque con una sua privacy, servizi disponibili (unica pecca lo scarico dei bagno che era un po' difettoso). Beh, ci tornerei volentieri se dovessi stare uno o due giorni a Montreal.

Mauvaise première expérience, enregistrement beaucoup trop long (plus d’une heure), clé magnétique qui ne fonctionne pas, Matelas très basic (lit d’hôpital style) ,odeur de cigarette dans les dortoirs, chaussure à la traîne partout, va et vient et toute la nuit accompagné de bruit de porte qui claque.

It was a cool place honestly. The shower area smelled very musty so i think they need to do somethint about that but otherwise was pretty clean. The area the hotel is in is kinda ghetto. Lots of trash on the street and homeless people fighting. Felt very secure and safe inside the hotel. Your capsule locks so nobody can bother you while you're sleeping?Also, you get lockers for your luggage.So nobody can touch it as well.It is a mixed dorm, but everybody minded their business and was nice in the hallways

I stayed here for 5days, It was a good stay, bed is clean, staffs are friendly, it was pretty good shower room & washrooms. However, I feel unsafe outside of hotel. Most store were closed, some homeless people were there.

I liked the hotel, it is clean and new, cozy capsules. Not far from the hotel there is a grocery store, Shoppers and Starbucks which is very convenient. The hotel is not far from the Old Town.

Voici quelques propositions comme Consultant hôtelier, je vous propose que changer les cartes hébergement de blanche pour la couleur noire identifié Capsule Montréal plus facile à retrouver sur des drap blanc et meilleur marketing.. Par la suite à titre préventif les marches pour le deuxième étage des capsules il y a sur le marché un collant plus abrasif de couleur claire pour ne pas que le pied sur la marche puisse glisser et prévenir un accident... Des écriteaux pour aviser la clientèle de respecter la propreté des lieux par respect pour la clientèle... Une fontaine ⛲ serait apprécié pour s'abreuver... Merci pour votre compréhension.. B. G

A great unique experience. But for a middle aged man, once is enough. Rooms are super quiet and beds are comfy. Fans built into the rooms provide some fresh air. Lots of shower and restrooms. Everything is kept very clean. Common area is very small with limited seating but has great snacks and coffees available for purchase. Lockers are provided but Unfortunately during a bathroom break my tablet and messenger bag were stolen from the common area

Great experience! the pod beds were super clean, comfortable and quiet. The shared lockers and washrooms were great but could use around the hour cleanliness service due to high use and number of people at hotel. Close to transport and main attractions, lots of eating and food options. Suggest:expansion and adding sitting/dinning area on ground floor with natural light and street views. Also recommend creating a women’s only pod hotel. Also recommend a full clothing and no foul language policy in hotel.Definitely will recommend!

While all tech in place, finding yourself in a cabin high enough to sit upright, long enough to lay top to toe, buttons to press allow your stars at the ceiling, reading light, mirror light, shelf light, or even watching TV, you sleep like a log and raise refreshed. Check on the lock and unlock, and buttons to optimum use, if needed ask the team. Make use of the large (even holding large suitcases) and the little locker (laptops books dayuse) that come with each capsule. Have a nice warm shower, use the provided towel, integrate at the wash basins, at the little launch using the washing machine, the hand-out wall to buy treats, toothpaste, technical stuff, taking a beverage at the coffee machine, the purifying water tap, or just read or talk, laptop work at the couch or at the tables. Solo female traveller. Three nights. It was great for what I needed: an affordable, safe place to sleep located within walking distance of the Convention center during the metro strike. This section of Boul Saint-Laurent is a bit sketchy; the adjacent buildings are abandoned, but I did not see drug paraphernalia near the hotel, and I did not feel unsafe. It is very well located to access pretty much anything. There is a coffee shop and a pharmacy nearby. There is no parking on site but there is an affordable outdoor parking lot less than 5 min away on Milton ave. My capsule (double bed) was clean and smelled fresh upon arrival and they were able to accomodate me with an early check in. The mattress is thin; if you have back problems, it may not be right for you. I found the bathrooms, showers and the lockers clean and did not notice any musty smell like some older reviews mentioned. The toilets' water tanks are very slow to fill after flushing so I found that many people did not take the time to flush properly, leaving it for the next person to flush. Think of it like a youth hostel with more privacy. If I could make a suggestion to management it would be to have a proper place for people to store their shoes as I found that the hallways are crowded with boots, slippers, umbrellas... The hallways are very dark and it is a tripping hazard. There is a coffee machine in the basement and vending machines. I enjoyed the experience and would come back :)

J'ai été à l'hôtel Capsule à plus de 14 reprises pour une meilleure évaluation objectives soit au premier niveau du plancher et au deuxième étages en lit simple et en lit double.. Point fort : Le Prix sont très compétitif pour la nuitée de cette établissement. Emplacement près des transports en commun. Le personnel est courtois et serviable. La propreté de l'établissement.. Point faible Cette établissement Hôtelière serait approprié pour la capsule du bas pour les personnes âgées et à mobilité réduite.. Une recommandation qui selon mon humble avis des capsules habitables de la clientèle seraient d'envisager ultérieurement un meilleur qualité et confort des sommiers... Pas de fontaine d'eau pour la clientèle... Éclairage trop sombre dans les couloirs de l'établissement Et les portes en direction des escaliers vers le bas pour les douches, salle de bain et de salle de repos sont mal identifiés... Serviette pour la douche, manque important d'investissement... La climatisation des chambres n'est pas uniforme et de la même température pour chaque chambre.. Intérieur des chambres sont bien adaptées mais aucun poste de télévision.. Les postes offerts disponibles, Netflix, YouTube, Prime et autres que vous devrez avoir vos abonnements personnels... PS : Point positif J'ai remarqué depuis mes séjours que la direction de l'établissement apportais des améliorations significatives pour l'amilioration du service à la clientèle.. BG

Great location. Central to the park, restaurants, train station, etc. The capsule itself was pretty comfortable (I had a double to myself). I saw the staff cleaning the bathroom daily but they probably needed to be cleaned twice a day as the shower and toilet facilities would have benefitted from being checked upon more often.

When we arrived it was very messy, with people’s stuff hanging everywhere. It’s very dark and dingy, the pods also have a damp smell making it very uncomfortable. The showers and toilets were not very clean.

Ehhhh…. I would say this falls into the cheap hostel category for me. The capsules were pretty nice but all the shared spaces like the bathrooms were DIRTY, standing water on the floors, hair and dirt everywhere. Maybe it’s hard to keep clean with so many folks. I wouldn’t stay here again. But it was the cheapest in Montreal so I get that it has a niche.

My capsule neighbor arrive around 5 am and did all the (unintentional) noise possible. I had to get up at 6 am and could not sleep after this. Maybe you could do something to prevent this kind of incidents

The capsule itself was very clean and comfortable. The bed felt great and clean. I slept very well It was great because the doors locked and there was a mirror in the capsule. The location was also perfect. Easily walk to old Montreal and visit some popular spots. The staff were also incredibly nice. Some negatives: The showers and sink area felt dirty. The towels smelled extremely bad like mildew and were worn thin. I smelled of mildew all morning after using the towel. The shower also had run out of body wash and there was stagnant water everywhere and no offer to buy shower shoes. Overall not a bad stay, would recommend for a quick cheap stay or someone interested in a capsule experience.
