Great location, bar & bistro conveniently located downstairs.

Simple and clean enough room. Facilities are a little old but completely functional. Incredibly convenient location and very easy to get back to your room at any hour. - Venue doesn't open until 10am, so arriving early to drop off bags is impossible. - Room has little to no soundproofing right next to central station, tram line and loud pub patrons. - Bizarrely there was a floodlight pointed directly at the window which the curtains could not block out entirely.

Good: Room was clean, although a little dated, comfy bed and serviced daily including bottled water. Food and drinks from downstairs bar were excellent. Friendly and obliging staff. Excellent location. Not so good: Hotel current under renovation. Construction noise from 6.00am. Street noise from 24hr bar opposite and trams. Elevator not working (staff happily assisted with luggage). No secure luggage storage (limited storage within bar area). Very, very slow free wi-fi

Room was neat, clean and quiet. Good location. The security code access system worked well. The A/C unit did not work as it should as it did not cool the room and would shut down after a few minutes if set to "Cool" mode. Fan mode worked. As windows are sealed closed the room did get very hot and stuffy.

You cannot get a more central position in Sydney than this Hotel, it is right next to Central Station south eastern entrance. It is an old building with the rooms modernized and now all include private shower and toilet facilities. Some rooms are small but functional. There is a lift that services both floors of rooms. Breakfast is not available, but Dinner certainly is in the Bistro at the Bar. Prices of rooms vary depending on season and City activities, but overall are not expensive. I recommend this place if you need Sydney City accommodation.

We always stay here when we are visiting Sydney or transiting though, it is so convenient bein just over the road from Central Station, the bistro serves very nice meals and is to be recommended, always enjoy staying here

We had a room next to the rooftop bar and it was very hard to sleep with the noise, the hotel did supply earplugs which says it all. The food was fantastic

Great pub stay.

Used to be a great place to stay, but look elsewhere as they no longer offer bag storage facilities if you get there before check in. I was lucky that they had the room ready by 12pm, but that would be the exception not the rule. Also for $200 a night, how hard is it to have a microwave or toaster in the room?

First of all, the room (#4) had issues with the electronic key. It would only open the room door after many attempts. The lock was dodgy. The room was covered in a layer of dust. The bathroom appeared like it hadn’t been cleaned properly in years. There were water marks on the top of the bathroom vanity and the corners of the room and every piece of furniture were dusty and I’m convinced the bathroom only gets mopped once a week. The sink in the bathroom was cracked. The room was of a good size and most of the street noise was kept out by the windows and curtains. The chairs were uncomfortable to sit in and I’m glad I didn’t bring a black light with me because I’m sure the place would have lit up like Christmas. The fridge had been turned off at the wall and was leaking water from the freezer defrosting into the bottom of it. I love the location and the price but you’ve got to up your game on general cleanliness. I’ve stayed at this hotel three years running and there are always things that need improving. But the staff were lovely and friendly. Check in was easy. The location is great and very convenient to public transport. Sack the cleaners though. Or inspect the place after they’ve been through because I’m sure they’re not doing their job properly.

2022年のGWに女性1人で3泊しました。 1階はパブのため、想像しているようなホテル感は全くありません。 ロビーなどももちろんなし。 スーツケースなどの荷物は鍵付きの部屋で預かってくれます。 ルームキーがないと客室に続くエレベーターは動かなくなっていて、部屋もオートロックですが、内鍵やチェーンがないのでかなり不安(しかし無事でした)。 窓も鍵がちゃんとしまっているのか怪しく不安でした。 部屋はアンティークといえば聞こえがいいものの、薄暗く、所々とても汚いです。 バスルームは新調していそうで明るい雰囲気ですが、ヘッドシャワーのみ。使い慣れていないのでとても苦労しました。 アメニティはシャンプー、トリートメント、ボディソープのみ。ティッシュや歯ブラシはありませんのでお気をつけて(自腹で全て用意しました)。 あと紅茶などのセットがありますがカップが汚すぎて使う気になれず。 湯沸かしポットには虫が入っていました。 水のペットボトルは初日に2本あったのみでそれ以降はなし。 ただしベッドの寝心地はめちゃくちゃよかったです！ 車通りや電車の音、外からの光が気になるかもしれません(私はアイマスク、耳栓していたので問題なし)。 予約時にエクスペディアのコールセンタースタッフから、毎日清掃をしてくださるか確認していただいたところ、毎日清掃と言われたのに、実際はゴミ箱のゴミを捨てて、タオルを交換しただけ。3日目の朝にその旨伝えたところ ベッドメイキングに変わっただけ。 日本円で13000円くらい支払ったので期待していたのですが、日本のホテルではありえないクオリティなのではないかと。1泊2000円くらいなら許せるかな…泊まらないけど。 オーストラリアは物価が高く、13000円程度では日本の格安ホテル以下なのかもしれません。 写真のような感じではないのでお気をつけください。 スタッフは優しくてフレンドリー！ まあでもそんなことは…どうでも良いなあ〜。 ホテルに戻りたくないなあという気持ちに何度もなり、せっかくの旅行だったのにもったいなかったと感じています。 ホテルケチるべからず。

Check-in and check-out was seamless (my first time checking in at a bar) and the staff were all wonderful. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and bathroom spotless. There are earplugs available to drown out the street noise. Getting to and from the airport is also seamless as the station entrance is across the road… we got to the airport in 15mins from leaving the hotel!

Comfortable bed good air conditioning. The bathroom was fine but the shower wasn't draining properly. I had to ask the cleaner to use drano to clear it. The room had small cockroaches which are common in Sydney CBD. The hotel is a late night poker machine venue, so a lot of dodgy people about. I don 't think I would stay there again

Great room, just noisy with the light rail. Curtains blocked out most of the light but the flood lights on the exterior of the building made the room too light which made sleeping difficult. It is a brilliant location and very central but good to know what you are in for and the price reflects the things listed

Great value and location but was noisy as hell. But hey, its a room in a pub in central Sydney.

Wifi was a bit sketchy but otherwise it was great

This hotel is perfectly situated just a few steps from Central Sydney Station and a tram stop, in a walking distance to China Town and even the city center. There is a rather noisy pub downstairs. My room had only the basic equipment and rather shabby. However, bed was O.K. and so was the bathroom. Free WiFi worked well. Staff was polite and did their best to be helpful.

Too noisy with tram under window TV didn’t work

The room was great. Beds were comfortable. The only real issue was the noise from light rail outside our window. Next time i would request a room facing Chalmers Street.

How close to central it was for an over night stay maybe once the Reno’s are done it might be ok but. Night time staff not very helpful. Lots of noise from street then works early hours.

Repairs to property at 6.30 -7.00 am . Loud noises unable to sleep . No hot water . Ring and made complaint. Asked to leave for my complaint. Left hotel without shower and feeling sick . Keep away from this hotel . Sent message to head office. No reply. Only possible reason staff would have said untrue things . No problem staying at other hotels

Checked in and 1st room aircon did not work. Eventually changed to different room. Much bigger than original room which had a very tiny bathroom. Both rooms had been newly renovated but walking down hallway felt and sounded like the floor was going to collapse. Staff were friendly but not professional. Very overpriced for what it is but prices seemed inflated for AC/DC concert dates.

Loved the staff all very helpful. Nedded a wifi password in the room. Door to room was confusing to lock. Manager on the day was excellent.

10 am is very late to run a hotel business to check people in and on the other hand it’s hard to find staff to ask about hotel concerns after midnight because this place is also a sports bar and it gets very busy

Very convenient as we were catching an interstate train from Central the next morning. Convenience store minutes away on foot. Staff friendly. Food in the pub was great.
