No key to the room and no bar service. Woken up at 6am with shouting and children screaming. No curtains at the window and no mirrors in the room or bathroom. Sink in the bathroom was half full of water. Avoid at all costs!

3 night stay - 1st night, no issues except the free car park isn’t big enough and it’s a real problem getting a space! Second night, people beeping their car horns in the car park at 4 o’clock in the morning and staff did not intervene! 3rd night, fire alarm set off by someone smoking in the room but instead of evacuating, the staff switched the alarm off before knowing if there was a fire or not! No health and safety or fire procedures followed and when I asked the staff what happened, they laughed! The bed was clean and the toilet was clean but there were layers of dust on the shelves, one of the towels had been used and the carpet hadn’t been cleaned! To be totally honest, If the staff were more empathetic and genuinely sorry, I wouldn’t have wrote this so my advice is to stay well clear!

Handy stopover location - close to rail station and near destination the next morning. I was aware there were no catering facilities so used the local Wetherspoons. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but provides a basic service with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Lovely old building which deserves some TLC - good luck to the owners!

HAD A BIG REFERB SO ROOMS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION, THAT SAID MY WINDOW WOULD NOT CLOSE AND IT WAS VERY COLD EVEN WITH A SMALL HEATER ON. VERY NOISEY FAMILY ABOVE MY ROOM, NO FOOD SEVED AT THE MOMENT DUE TO KITCHEN RE-FERB, NO SKY TV AS ADVERTISED. Great value for money, staff are warm and welcoming. The entire hotel is being renovated on a shoestring. Fixtures and fittings are low quality. Most rooms have really good, clean showers. Ideal for workman or a crash pad for a night in Stourbridge. Brilliant central location

Outdated room could do with a complete refresh , shower was disgusting with mold on tiles and on grout along with mold on the shower door runner , radiator hanging off the wall , holes in bed linen, really dont think the rooms have been thought out properly and trying to get in the entrance door was like playing a game in the crystal maze !!! Only reason we ended up staying was because it was within walking distance of the venue we was attending other than that if you get the chance to stay in a premier inn do it ! Would not recommend this hotel it is a shitehole !!!

The hotel was extremely run down. Its in the midst of some kind of renovation or demolition, I couldn't quite tell. The room was dated and that's being kind. The duvet had stains on it, there was a load of toilet paper unflushed in the loo and there was a towel on the back of the bathroom door that either had curry or sh*t on it. If there was literally anywhere else to stay at that time of night, I would have left. The worst place I think I've ever stayed. Don't do it, save yourselves!!

Room was ok apart from being freezing cold. When I mentioned it to the receptionist at check out she said I could have asked for an extra heater or blanket. I replied how about a proper heating system. A storage heater on a wall isn’t going to warm up a room. The only decent thing that was warm was the shower.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself is in a good location , our room placement unfortunately impacted our comfort. Our room was located right next to the car park, which turned out to be quite disruptive. Foreign guests would step outside to talk on the phone with relatives abroad at all hours in the night, hearing every conversation they had. Not the quietest of people either. In addition, the car park's security light was extremely bright and shone directly into our room. With only a narrow blind covering the window, the light couldn't be properly blocked, making it difficult to sleep. Between the noise and the constant illumination, we found it hard to get a good night's rest. We feel the hotel could improve the experience by installing blackout curtains and perhaps considering soundproofing. It's a shame, because the setting itself had potential.

Cheap but not cheerful. Depressing vibe, tiny room and a shower so small most wouldn’t get into that didn’t drain. Whole place smells of bad school meals. Other guests are welfare folks who sit around smoking and chatting all day.

Staff really polite and friendly, my partner had to mend the shower head to get a proper shower, the carpets was in a stained condition but the bedding was very clean and so was the shower room, for the price if the accommodation it was great for the overnight stay
Staff really polite and friendly, my partner had to mend the shower head to get a proper shower, the carpets was in a stained condition but the bedding was very clean and so was the shower room, for the price if the accommodation it was great for the overnight stay

A simple hotel in the middle of Stourbridge. Rooms are adequate in size, the bed is comfortable and there's a good shower in the bathroom. There was a problem with my room but it got sorted quickly and the staff were excellent. Small changes in the bathroom would help - a shelf above the sink so there's somewhere to put your stuff and similarly a soap dish in the shower would be really useful.

Handy stopover location - close to rail station and near destination the next morning. I was aware there were no catering facilities so used the local Wetherspoons. Hotel is undergoing refurbishment but provides a basic service with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Lovely old building which deserves some TLC - good luck to the owners!

We recently stayed at this hotel, and while the property itself is in a good location , our room placement unfortunately impacted our comfort. Our room was located right next to the car park, which turned out to be quite disruptive. Foreign guests would step outside to talk on the phone with relatives abroad at all hours in the night, hearing every conversation they had. Not the quietest of people either. In addition, the car park's security light was extremely bright and shone directly into our room. With only a narrow blind covering the window, the light couldn't be properly blocked, making it difficult to sleep. Between the noise and the constant illumination, we found it hard to get a good night's rest. We feel the hotel could improve the experience by installing blackout curtains and perhaps considering soundproofing. It's a shame, because the setting itself had potential.

The hotel was very basic and there was no bar or food provision due to refurbishment but this was reflected in the price. However, considering the price, it was a good stay as the hotel was clean and functional. The hotel is located in the very centre of Stourbridge so very good if you need to be in town.

Room 111 has the stairs over it so it was extremely noisy when people moved to and from the above floor. It would have been useful to have somewhere to hang towels in the bathroom. There was no hot water in the hand basin tap in the morning.
