We stayed 11 nights. The rooms are clean and have a frig.It's an older property but the pretty grounds and swimming pool are well taken care of. Staff are friendly and helpful. Their is no resteraunt on site but coffee and tea are provided starting at 8am. It is a long walk into town, at least 30 minutes, we rented a car and were glad! Next door is a small cafe/ bar that serves breakfast- coffee, scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast for $5 total.

Pros & Cons to this hotel The room it self was clean overall. The entire property needs some attention to certain areas. Our room was nice except the curtain to balcony was covered in mold on the back side. But beds were comfortable and room was very clean otherwise. Nice bathrooms but getting towels was difficult. 1 of our balcony chairs was broke along with 2 other rooms that had friends had had balcony chairs that needed replaced as well. The pool was nice but the furniture outside cushions were in need of replacement. The beds that are by the pool no one would lay on as the cushions were black underneath. No coffee pot in room so purchased our own as it was $2.00 to go get coffee each morning from little place next door so easier and cheaper to buy own and leave behind. Nice quiet location and easy to grab a taxi and get where we wanted to go with much ease. So lots of conveniences to the property.

Older property that has been well cared for. Quiet and peaceful, friendly staff, and beautiful landscaped areas. The restaurant is currently closed but they have coffee, tea and water out for the guests every morning. We really enjoyed this older hotel!

Room was nice, roomy, good a/c. Comfy bed. Large bathroom - we had a superior ocean view room. The restaurant and bar were closed; however, we were within easy walking distance of other eating establishments. Large clean pool with plenty of chairs. No coffee maker in room; however, fresh coffee was available by the pool area each day. There was a mini-refrigerator in our room.

The Villa Blanca Gardens is my go to for a short getaway, having stayed there 6 times in the last 4-5 years. It has a beautiful landscape, is across the street from the beach and two dive/excurson piers. Very diver friendly, with dive trips leaving from piers across the street. It has a pool, but no Waterpark, so not as noisy as many of the all inclusive resorts. The current on-site restaurant/bar (Stingrays) is pretty good and not overly expensive on paper, but they give you a poor exchange rate on the dollar. Restuarant/bar staff are friendly and helpful. Stingrays is small as is the Via Blanca generally; thus, there are not a lot of hard core drinkers hanging out there, and I have never seen a person unduly inebriated at the facility. There are four other really good restaurants within walking distance as well. It is an older 3 star facility in Mexico, so don't expect new cushy chairs, but the rooms have a nice Mexican/Caribbean atmosphere, comfortable beds, good AC, and many have a partial view of the ocean. The penthouse has a panoramic view of the ocean from a very large private terrace. If you want a chill out place to stay, avoiding the 'all you can eat buffets' with marginal food, then the Via Blanca Gardens is a great budget wise place to stay! Thus, leaving you money to explore better food and varieties of outdoor activities on sea and land on your own, and there is plenty of them! I recommend the Villa Blanca Gardens, and look forward to a return visit myself!

The Villa Blanca Gardens is my three-star go to in Cozumel, and I have been there many times. It is away from the hustle and bustle and overcrowding of downtown when cruise ships come in and is generally unaffected by boat tourism. Many folks stay here for the dive, snorkeling and other activities that are available just across the street in front of the facility. One of the best parts is the beautiful garden that is the center of the surrounding rooms. Some good dining opportunities are within walking distance and the on-site Stingray bar & grill is ok for drinks and a quick bite. However, it is too far to walk to the main shopping areas down town, but it is closer than the all-inclusives further south along the West Coast. A great place to truly relax. I call the Via Blanca "my garden Villa get away' that helps me reset mind and body from my busy life back home. If you didn't want/need the all you can eat and drink crowded scene of the all inclusives, the VB is a good budget option.

El hotel está bien en general y es bonito, bien ubicado, tiene hermosos jardines, las habitaciones son amplias, el personal fue amable, el baño está lindo y la limpieza estuvo bien. Solo que ya es un hotel veterano, se ve que en su tiempo fue un hotelazo, pero necesita una renovación. Quisiera darle mejor calificacion porque la pasé bien pero hubieron cosas que no me gustaron: - Colchón motelero barato e incomodo se mueve tu pareja y se menea tu lado - El agua para bañarse es salada y con cloro, a tu cabello y tu piel no les gustará eso (no sé si en toda la isla sea igual o solo este hotel) - Los jaboncitos que te regalan en la habitación están horribles, parecen de lavar ropa - te cobran si llevas mascota - la caja fuerte estaba rota, ni cerradura tenía, pero sirvió de repisa… - no funciona el restaurante (aunque hay opciones cerca, el del hotel de al lado tiene una terraza linda y se come rico)

This is a nice outdoorsy property. Very clean. It's for people who know Cozumel and don't want to spend a fortune on accommodation but just want a nice clean, quiet comfortable place to stay with a nice pool and walking distance to activities and food. Half-sized fridges or larger in each room with modern TV.

We stayed at this property many years ago, and since then it has gone into slow decay. Linens were not cleaned, sink drain was leaking on the floor every time we used the faucet, both entrance doors are not insulated so it gets extremely humid inside the room, poor ventilation in the bathroom, the restaurant is not in service and there is no food available. If you’re there to just have a place to crash and go out into the water then you’re OK. Also across the street the restaurant is closed and there’s very limited places to snorkel like we use to have years ago.

Las vistas de la habitación 22 y del penthouse fueron increíbles. Se sentía muy cómoda y bella. Además, la cercanía al mar (cruzando la avenida) hacen que estar ahí sea maravilloso.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. They could use more drying surfaces, maybe a retractable or stationary bar for wet items, but the room was spacious.

-Im a local, dad came to visit, thought I reserved for a double standard because was planning to stay with him, But there was just one bed, and there were no more options, had to stayed at home ☹️ -towel pool are non existence, they got laundry insufficiency -Not all staff it's wearing their face mask -Breakfast it's OK, but if they invest on a buffet, better furniture and staff could be awesome and totally worth for bigger cost -pools are nice but they're very cold so be aware of it -wifi signal it's a mess and password are not always rcorrect -cleaning of room its not always on time -they have a entrance on the side of property, it's open night and day and nobody verify if you're a guest. Security could improve
-Im a local, dad came to visit, thought I reserved for a double standard because was planning to stay with him, But there was just one bed, and there were no more options, had to stayed at home ☹️ -towel pool are non existence, they got laundry insufficiency -Not all staff it's wearing their face mask -Breakfast it's OK, but if they invest on a buffet, better furniture and staff could be awesome and totally worth for bigger cost -pools are nice but they're very cold so be aware of it -wifi signal it's a mess and password are not always rcorrect -cleaning of room its not always on time -they have a entrance on the side of property, it's open night and day and nobody verify if you're a guest. The property is beautiful, and is located in a relatively quiet area, but just a short, 20-30 minute walk from town. However, the rooms are dated, you can hear people talking in the next room, and the shower water is cold. Also, there is no ice machine. There are refrigerators in the room.

The Villa Blanca Gardens is my go to for a short getaway, having stayed there 6 times in the last 4-5 years. It has a beautiful landscape, is across the street from the beach and two dive/excurson piers. Very diver friendly, with dive trips leaving from piers across the street. It has a pool, but no Waterpark, so not as noisy as many of the all inclusive resorts. The current on-site restaurant/bar (Stingrays) is pretty good and not overly expensive on paper, but they give you a poor exchange rate on the dollar. Restuarant/bar staff are friendly and helpful. Stingrays is small as is the Via Blanca generally; thus, there are not a lot of hard core drinkers hanging out there, and I have never seen a person unduly inebriated at the facility. There are four other really good restaurants within walking distance as well. It is an older 3 star facility in Mexico, so don't expect new cushy chairs, but the rooms have a nice Mexican/Caribbean atmosphere, comfortable beds, good AC, and many have a partial view of the ocean. The penthouse has a panoramic view of the ocean from a very large private terrace. If you want a chill out place to stay, avoiding the 'all you can eat buffets' with marginal food, then the Via Blanca Gardens is a great budget wise place to stay! Thus, leaving you money to explore better food and varieties of outdoor activities on sea and land on your own, and there is plenty of them! I recommend the Villa Blanca Gardens, and look forward to a return visit myself!

We've stayed here many times. The facilities have not been updated in 20 years. Our air-conditioning unit stopped working 3 times although the staff were prompt in fixing it. Nora at the desk was friendly and helpful but the facility is dated and uncomfortable. We moved to another place after 2 nights.We primarily chose it for its convenient location for scuba diving. But we will not be staying there again.

Two of us were in Cozumel to scuba dive and have been to Cozumel before but have not stayed at Villa Blanca. The hotel was nice, clean, fine in every way but doesn’t really cater to divers. The pier across the street can be used by dive shops to pick you up with no charge, which is great. However, the restaurant is run separately from the hotel did not open on time, says 7am, but no one was there until 7:20, and we had a boat to catch, so after that, we bought breakfast in the groc store and ate it in the room. We are also disappointed that the hotel didn’t provide drinking water dispensers like many dive resorts do, so we had to buy a lot of plastic bottles. We bring our own water bottles, hoping to fill them up and not add to the plastic waste on the island. There is no outdoor shower to rinse off before going to the room, even tho they do have a pool. And finally a big rinse tank for our equipment would have been great, but we had to do this in the shower. If you are not a diver, this place is fine, but divers beware.

Very quiet resort with a very spacious and comfortable room. Always felt safe when enjoying the property at night or walking to somewhere else downtown. Cabs are always driving by and you can take one downtown for $8. The staff was friendly and tentative. The only downside would be that it’s not directly on a beach. That being said the beach is right across the street. Very easily accessible. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Buyer beware. This place is dank and creepy. I’m sure it was once charming, and the grounds are expansive. It could be lovely again with repairs and attention. I was put in a room in the rear of the property near a driveway with open access to the street. The room had a door connecting to the adjacent room, and the only other entry/exit was a sliding glass door with a teeny tiny lock. Not secure at all. And no working telephone in the room. The pavement and concrete is very uneven and I fell and injured myself leaving the property. I did not stay overnight because I was able to find a much safer hotel with much better vibes down the road. I came back to collect my luggage once it was daylight. I was willing to take the financial loss for my safety and hoped they’d be decent and refund the remainder of my stay when I checked out at noon. Buyer beware. They refused even a partial refund.

We stayed 11 nights. The rooms are clean and have a frig.It's an older property but the pretty grounds and swimming pool are well taken care of. Staff are friendly and helpful. Their is no resteraunt on site but coffee and tea are provided starting at 8am. It is a long walk into town, at least 30 minutes, we rented a car and were glad! Next door is a small cafe/ bar that serves breakfast- coffee, scrambled eggs, hash browns and toast for $5 total.

Our room was perfect for the two of us and within walking distance of many amazing restaurants, small shops, diving rentals, and downtown. Even though the hotel was older than some of the bigger resorts, it was much quieter and laid back than the bigger places. We were there for Ironman Cozumel and the hotel was a perfect place to watch your athlete on the bike course then walk to downtown to support them on the run.

The Villa Blanca Gardens is my three-star go to in Cozumel, and I have been there many times. It is away from the hustle and bustle and overcrowding of downtown when cruise ships come in and is generally unaffected by boat tourism. Many folks stay here for the dive, snorkeling and other activities that are available just across the street in front of the facility. One of the best parts is the beautiful garden that is the center of the surrounding rooms. Some good dining opportunities are within walking distance and the on-site Stingray bar & grill is ok for drinks and a quick bite. However, it is too far to walk to the main shopping areas down town, but it is closer than the all-inclusives further south along the West Coast. A great place to truly relax. I call the Via Blanca "my garden Villa get away' that helps me reset mind and body from my busy life back home. If you didn't want/need the all you can eat and drink crowded scene of the all inclusives, the VB is a good budget option.

Older property that has been well cared for. Quiet and peaceful, friendly staff, and beautiful landscaped areas. The restaurant is currently closed but they have coffee, tea and water out for the guests every morning. We really enjoyed this older hotel!

We stayed at this property many years ago, and since then it has gone into slow decay. Linens were not cleaned, sink drain was leaking on the floor every time we used the faucet, both entrance doors are not insulated so it gets extremely humid inside the room, poor ventilation in the bathroom, the restaurant is not in service and there is no food available. If you’re there to just have a place to crash and go out into the water then you’re OK. Also across the street the restaurant is closed and there’s very limited places to snorkel like we use to have years ago.

The Villa Blanca Gardens is my go to for a short getaway, having stayed there 6 times in the last 4-5 years. It has a beautiful landscape, is across the street from the beach and two dive/excurson piers. Very diver friendly, with dive trips leaving from piers across the street. It has a pool, but no Waterpark, so not as noisy as many of the all inclusive resorts. The current on-site restaurant/bar (Stingrays) is pretty good and not overly expensive on paper, but they give you a poor exchange rate on the dollar. Restuarant/bar staff are friendly and helpful. Stingrays is small as is the Via Blanca generally; thus, there are not a lot of hard core drinkers hanging out there, and I have never seen a person unduly inebriated at the facility. There are four other really good restaurants within walking distance as well. It is an older 3 star facility in Mexico, so don't expect new cushy chairs, but the rooms have a nice Mexican/Caribbean atmosphere, comfortable beds, good AC, and many have a partial view of the ocean. The penthouse has a panoramic view of the ocean from a very large private terrace. If you want a chill out place to stay, avoiding the 'all you can eat buffets' with marginal food, then the Via Blanca Gardens is a great budget wise place to stay! Thus, leaving you money to explore better food and varieties of outdoor activities on sea and land on your own, and there is plenty of them! I recommend the Villa Blanca Gardens, and look forward to a return visit myself!

The Villa Blanca Gardens is my three-star go to in Cozumel, and I have been there many times. It is away from the hustle and bustle and overcrowding of downtown when cruise ships come in and is generally unaffected by boat tourism. Many folks stay here for the dive, snorkeling and other activities that are available just across the street in front of the facility. One of the best parts is the beautiful garden that is the center of the surrounding rooms. Some good dining opportunities are within walking distance and the on-site Stingray bar & grill is ok for drinks and a quick bite. However, it is too far to walk to the main shopping areas down town, but it is closer than the all-inclusives further south along the West Coast. A great place to truly relax. I call the Via Blanca "my garden Villa get away' that helps me reset mind and body from my busy life back home. If you didn't want/need the all you can eat and drink crowded scene of the all inclusives, the VB is a good budget option.

Huge rooms and bathroom!! Walk out to the pool. Clean! Ocean just across the road. I suggest renting a scooter or buggy to drive around the island. So many beach bars to visit. We took a deep fishing tour, strongly recommend! So relaxing

If you are traveling on a budget, it’s an okay hotel. One thing it has is the access to the small beach (400 Feet away) but the beach isn’t maintained well and has some trash but is totally doable. My major complaint was the plumbing (toilet and shower) clogged constantly and overflowed while showering. Second complaint is the “bottled water service” they give you 1 regular sized bottle of water per person and you have to walk to the front desk with the empty bottle to ask them to refill it… yeah. The tap water on the island is not drinkable, so unless you go to the store and buy drinks (a taxi ride and carry all back to hotel) you will need the water service. This one issue takes a lot of time and makes zero sense. They could easily install a one gallon , refillable Culligan style water dispenser with cups and it makes no trash or waste. Very simple. I’ve stayed here two times about 10 years apart (2015/2026) and I’ll go somewhere new next time. I just don’t want to ask for a refil with my crusty water bottle or stand in a shower with 3 inches of water and who knows what floating around.

Great budget friendly hotel. The staff is super friendly. Housekeeping was exceptional! The rooms are vintage themed with comfortable beds. The pool is nice, the hot tub though was not heated unfortunately. No food options on site, but only a 2 minute walk to store. Better option for breakfast or dinner is Noventa y tres which has amazing food! 3 minute walk. Would stay here again!

It was a two sided review. First, I was put in a room that was at the back of the property that the view was into some bushes that I looked through to see a tennis court. Not the garden property view what is advertised. Then no restaurant as advertised on their website, it was closed. Then the advertised and pictured beach wasn’t a beach, it apparently belongs to a closed hotel and a guard who chased me off to a totally rocky area. After my initial review I was upgraded on the second day to a very nice room that met all expectations and more. So the room was very nice, the property is beautiful and I enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately the restaurant and lack of beach was disappointing.
