Pinkney Home Place is a very restful and comfortable house right on the river and marshlands. The home is full of wonderful family memories/history and in a quiet neighborhood! It has lots of room and is very close to the beautiful downtown Beaufort. The sunroom looks out on the river and marshland where you can enjoy your morning coffee and gorgeous sunsets over the water! Your stay even includes the use of their private fishing dock! We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation!!!

Beautiful views, easy living just a mile from downtown. The house is larger than it looks and very functional-down to having 2 fridges. If you’re into gold plated faucets, don’t bother. If you feel comfortable at Grandma’s house in the 60’s with access to a dock—— do Pinckney house

What a fabulous property. It was absolutely beautiful and we found it to be exactly as listed. I wish the walls could talk to speak of the fun and history that this home has to offer. It was very clean and the bed in the master bedroom (we only used that bedroom) was incredibly comfortable. The dock was amazing and the lighting on it was wonderful and made for a few great evenings sitting out with a glass of wine. The location is great and no more than 10 minutes away from grocery and shopping in one direction, and the historic waterfront park in the other. We would definitely stay here again!

Pinckney Homeplace is a unique property. Its located in a quiet waterfront neighborhood. The interior has vintage charm dating to the 1950s. Its well equipped for cooking. There is a Mr Coffee drip machine as well as a Keurig coffeemaker. Plenty of dishes and seating. The main bedroom and twin bedroom with crib share a small bath. 2 other bedrooms share a hall bath. There's a cozy den with TV. The long dock and gazebo look over the marsh and waterway. Seating in the gazebo is a great way to spend an afternoon, watching the ducks, egrets and boats. Our family enjoyed a holiday gathering here. The owners had even provided some Christmas decor and a beautiful Nativity scene in the large living room. Thank you, Pinckney family

The stay was great. The house is exactly as listed - a throw back in time. It felt like I was staying at my grandparent house when I was a kid. Learning about the history of the home and the family was also a nice touch. I was also able to show my kids how much things have evolved over time ranging from the kitchen and bathrooms. The house was very spacious. My family of seven didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The host provided great resources for using the washer and dryer as well as good bathroom amenities. Lastly, the location was great - a five minutes drive to downtown Beaufort. Also seeing the jets fly over each night was good enjoyment for all of us.

This is a very large home, despite what the photos indicate. With three bathrooms, den, living room, kitchen, porch, dock, and four bedrooms, you will not feel cramped. The view off the porch and dock are wonderful! The house is a little stuck in time....in a good way. It is well appointed and very comfortable. The neighborhood is good for walking with multiple parks and a boat ramp. The owner is responsive and very helpful. In short, this has been one of my best VRBO stays; and, I hope to come back!

Great place to stay, tons of room. The house is even nicer in person. The personal dock was great. A couple minute walk is a park that has a dock, boat ramp and some benches and swings. Location was excellent and Mike was gracious. You wont be disappointed

It was adequate. Our first two days we had only one shower as the electricity was not working. Also we were given the wrong password for the Wi-Fi and the owner had to have some else give us the correct one. The happened the next day. It was reported that there was a high chair…. There was not. There was a chair for a small child with no straps/belt. The oven was not working correctly so it took almost 90 minutes to cook boneless chicken breast tenders at 425. The place was a very quaint lake house that was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Overall, it was adequate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our month in Beaufort at this home full of family memories! We arrived to a spotless well equipped home, in a quiet peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Location was perfect for exploring the local area, and a large dock was available for watching the tides, crabbing or fishing. Mike next door was available for any questions and local recommendations. This is a very special place and we watched many sunsets with gratitude.

This property is outstanding. Beautifully decorated and furnished. The house is spacious. Has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The view towards the river was gorgeous Loved looking out first thing every morning. Help was readily available for a few minor issues. As stated it is a 1950s house with some limitations ie small bath rooms narrow halls etc. However these issue are minor compared to the overall quality of the experience. Enjoyed the quiet Most days could only hear the birds- with an occasional jet Overall our 10 days there was terrific

Just thought you may want to know. 1) Lock box was very difficult to open 2) Electrical plug broken off in the outlet in one bedroom with single beds not one with crib. We stayed in Beaufort for its location and history. The Pinckney house was amazing!! It was like spending time in a different era that was all charm and beauty. The house is much more spacious than the pictures show.Everything was comfortable and accommodating. We loved it!!

The location on the water and across from the marine air base is amazing. Kitchen is reasonably equipped. The home was built in 1955 and most furniture is reflective of the era. Much of the furniture is beyond its prime. The piano is beautiful but un-playable due to it being out of tune and broken keys. The booking process and project management were excellent.

We had a wonderful time staying at the home. Son’s graduation from Marines and family gathering afterwards went perfectly. Only recommendation is beds where very firm which led to my hips hurting daily but other than that the dock, swimming and sunsets were wonderful.

Definitely old-school but a lovely comfortable spot for adults who appreciate serenity and the ability to spread out in this sprawling Pigeons Point escape. Close to downtown Beaufort but off the beaten path where deep pleasurable breaths outweigh resigned sighs and rolled eyes.

Loved this place so much. And the pictures don’t do it justice. We didn’t think the place had a tv bc there is no picture of one but there is a den with a tv not shown in their photos. The view is outstanding! The dock is awesome! The neighborhood is awesome! And super great proximity to everything! We are currently planning our next trip back now.

Wonderful property and hospitality. We needed a home for our husband and furbaby to escape Helene. The property manager couldn’t have been more helpful and kind. Loved the period decor and the beautiful sunsets. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

It was adequate. Our first two days we had only one shower as the electricity was not working. Also we were given the wrong password for the Wi-Fi and the owner had to have some else give us the correct one. The happened the next day. It was reported that there was a high chair…. There was not. There was a chair for a small child with no straps/belt. The oven was not working correctly so it took almost 90 minutes to cook boneless chicken breast tenders at 425. The place was a very quaint lake house that was well stocked with kitchen supplies. Overall, it was adequate.

The location on the water and across from the marine air base is amazing. Kitchen is reasonably equipped. The home was built in 1955 and most furniture is reflective of the era. Much of the furniture is beyond its prime. The piano is beautiful but un-playable due to it being out of tune and broken keys. The booking process and project management were excellent.

Roomy home in quiet neighborhood with 2 close parks, amazing water views, close to downtown Beaufort and Port Royal. Lots of birding opportunities on the dock as well as at the Cypress Wetlands and Hunting Island. We especially enjoyed the Pat Conroy literary Center as well. Owners very attentive and responsive to our questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our month in Beaufort at this home full of family memories! We arrived to a spotless well equipped home, in a quiet peaceful and friendly neighborhood. Location was perfect for exploring the local area, and a large dock was available for watching the tides, crabbing or fishing. Mike next door was available for any questions and local recommendations. This is a very special place and we watched many sunsets with gratitude.

Perfect girls getaway! The kitchen has everything you need, and the beds were perfect, we all slept like champs. Also loved that there is a washer and dryer. The house is so comfortable, you can tell it’s still a family home that is cherished and the family wants you to be comfortable and relaxed. Allison allowed us to change our check out time and that made a huge difference for us. We can’t wait to go back, we won’t even consider staying somewhere else.

Have stayed at the property five years straight and every time has been amazing. Wonderful property full of kitsch and charm with beautiful river views and a great dock. Allison and Mike are fantastic to deal with. Very responsive and super helpful. Already excited about next year.

Great place to stay, tons of room. The house is even nicer in person. The personal dock was great. A couple minute walk is a park that has a dock, boat ramp and some benches and swings. Location was excellent and Mike was gracious. You wont be disappointed

Pinkney Home Place is a very restful and comfortable house right on the river and marshlands. The home is full of wonderful family memories/history and in a quiet neighborhood! It has lots of room and is very close to the beautiful downtown Beaufort. The sunroom looks out on the river and marshland where you can enjoy your morning coffee and gorgeous sunsets over the water! Your stay even includes the use of their private fishing dock! We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation!!!

What a fabulous property. It was absolutely beautiful and we found it to be exactly as listed. I wish the walls could talk to speak of the fun and history that this home has to offer. It was very clean and the bed in the master bedroom (we only used that bedroom) was incredibly comfortable. The dock was amazing and the lighting on it was wonderful and made for a few great evenings sitting out with a glass of wine. The location is great and no more than 10 minutes away from grocery and shopping in one direction, and the historic waterfront park in the other. We would definitely stay here again!

The stay was great. The house is exactly as listed - a throw back in time. It felt like I was staying at my grandparent house when I was a kid. Learning about the history of the home and the family was also a nice touch. I was also able to show my kids how much things have evolved over time ranging from the kitchen and bathrooms. The house was very spacious. My family of seven didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The host provided great resources for using the washer and dryer as well as good bathroom amenities. Lastly, the location was great - a five minutes drive to downtown Beaufort. Also seeing the jets fly over each night was good enjoyment for all of us.

Definitely old-school but a lovely comfortable spot for adults who appreciate serenity and the ability to spread out in this sprawling Pigeons Point escape. Close to downtown Beaufort but off the beaten path where deep pleasurable breaths outweigh resigned sighs and rolled eyes.

The house was spacious, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood, and right on a tidal creek. The views from the gazebo in the marsh were fantastic. The sunsets were amazing. So many shore birds flying in and out with the tides. Beaufort is a wonderful place to visit - so much history. If you like fresh seafood, there are some fantastic restaurants. So much to see and do in the area.

Pinckney Homeplace is a unique property. Its located in a quiet waterfront neighborhood. The interior has vintage charm dating to the 1950s. Its well equipped for cooking. There is a Mr Coffee drip machine as well as a Keurig coffeemaker. Plenty of dishes and seating. The main bedroom and twin bedroom with crib share a small bath. 2 other bedrooms share a hall bath. There's a cozy den with TV. The long dock and gazebo look over the marsh and waterway. Seating in the gazebo is a great way to spend an afternoon, watching the ducks, egrets and boats. Our family enjoyed a holiday gathering here. The owners had even provided some Christmas decor and a beautiful Nativity scene in the large living room. Thank you, Pinckney family

Nestled in a safe, quiet neighborhood, it offers sidewalks for walking, and a small park with swings at the end of the road to sit and watch the sunset. It's own private dock is great for crabbing, fishing, birdwatching, and enjoying the changing of the tide in the marshland. This house is a true treasure. You will not be disappointed!

We always enjoy our stays here, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a Weber charcoal grill out back. Eating on the screened porch and watching the jets training is a real treat, like your very own air show. We love Pinckney Homeplace.
