Very clean room, found it very cool that the check in is done virtually. Do not like the parking fees as where else would you park. And not very sound blocking in between the walls. But aside from that the room is great you get exactly the service ur expected

The room was clean and affordable for a one night stay. It is a virtual check in which was easy. The room is very minimal. No microwave or coffee maker but there is a TV and mini fridge. There is a $10 per day parking fee. We opted for late check out at 1pm which was an additional $25.

The hotel was very nice & perfect for what we needed. The bed was very comfortable & the TV was perfect for a little movie night for a night in. Parking lot is a bit small. We came back after a night at Universal Studios & there was no spots available, but we were refunded the night’s parking fee & were able to park across the street at the sister hotel.

They charge for parking which is not mentioned in the ad. The AC unit is extremely loud and the room is too hot without it. They also have more rooms than parking spaces, so you may not get one, even though they charge you.

The room was great but the bathroom sink was leaking out of the floorboards everytime the water was running. Also the pillows could be better & parking should be for guest only. I paid all the nights of parking and when getting back from an outing there was no parking spaces left. The issue was addressed but it was an inconvenience.

Best small budget hotel stay I’ve ever done. I’d come back again. It’s conveniently located close to universal studios. There’s many places to eat and shop nearby. The lobby/check in experience was very cool. It was virtual and fast. The room itself was extremely clean, it felt like a little paradise. The floors were filthy! The AC was super loud but i mostly dont care about that. The remote staff were nice and called to see if we wanted a room cleaning which i appreciated. The price was right and it was fine for a budget option.

I recommend this hotel to all solo travelers. The room I was in was medium-sized with a large, plush bed, wine fridge, closet nook, and bathroom with a shower. Outlets with several charging options were on both night stands. The tv had all of the apps so you can log into your services: Netflix, Hulu, disney, etc, and the tv is at least 50 inches! Overall, the bed is so large for the space that there is not much room for 2 or more people (kids), but for the wonderful price and the comfort, I recommend this hotel to everyone. * Know that it is over a mile away from The Americana and I walked there both days I stayed. I felt so warm and safe in the room that I almost didn’t leave to walk the second day. This place was a warm hug… and it is extremely clean.

virtual check in upon arrival, the room was clean with cute interior but a little small. the fridge was placed right next to the bed so it was difficult to open the door. the bathroom mirrored the same, clean yet a little tight. we had to place the toilet paper stand in a different spot to have easier access. the tv placed in the room had regular cable, so we went out to purchase a streaming stick to watch our shows on netflix. the parking was additional per night, yet it was convenient as it was parallel towards our room. although the AC was noisy, the overall environment was quiet. we enjoyed our stay and look forward to another visit in the future

Very nice for its price point. Very nicer new renovation. no other amenities. No work space or chair in the room, just the average comfort bed and 2 small night stands, not even a water cup. Very nice if all you need is a bed and a clean bathroom.

There is nobody onsite, it is virtual check in which although I didn't have any issues with I was not aware of this prior. Other than that the room was very clean and quiet - in fact the benefit of this place is no upstairs neighbors making noise all night and keeping you awake. The cons for me - the room was quite small with no table or seating area, and although there is a flat screen TV there was a very poor selection of very basic cable channels and no apps to stream from your laptop or phone. I wasn't thrilled with this however considering the price and how quiet and clean the place is I would stay again.

I stayed 2nights to attend a course in LA. The room was very clean , adequate space, new condition, close to some restaurants. It did well the job. Check in was done virtually in a kiosk !!. Easy steps to follow. Air condition was functioning well but a bit loud. There is an inside cul de sac kind of for parking and rooms were circling around it. It made it easy for me to ride Uber.

It was a last minute decision and the room rate was right. Great location, super comfortable and clean. The walls are kind of thin and the base the mattress sits on is quite noisy!!

The porch lights on the property are incredibly bright and the shutters on the window do very little to darken the room at night. I recommend an eye mask if you are sensitive to this. Also, the AC unit in the room was VERY loud. Lastly, the bathroom was ridiculously small (like a motor home or trailer size.) Just things to be aware of.

Great 3 night stay, and the bed had nice clean white sheets. The only thing was that there wasn’t a microwave or a small little table for placing anything. The restroom also did not have a counter due to the space, so you couldn’t place toiletries or even a toothbrush on it, check their pictures of their restrooms if you usually take a lot of things. Still, it was an overall good hotel. There was always parking.

I would stop here again! The check-in process glitched for me: it's a kiosk in a phone booth sized room with a computer screen and remote front desk (in the Phillipines when I checked in). The women on the other end was great, but signal was bad, had to call me on my cell phone instead and scanner would not take my license- used my passport instead, which I don't normally carry... Took about 15 min. to check in. Room is small, but new and clean, quiet, good AC, fridge in room, great hot shower- just tiny overall so not meant to hang out there, just sleep and get ready to go on your adventure. It felt safe and I took an early am walk in the neighborhood just south- lots of shops etc. walkable a little way down the road if needed.

Room is nice, great for 2 people, air conditioner was pretty loud though. Check in process took a bit long but wasnt really in any rush but may cause problems for other people if theres a line or hot as there is only one kiosk. Did have issues where the code to the door stopped working and had to be let into our room by maintenance. Ittook quite a while to be able to get that fixed due to someone was checking in at the time and need to have someone reset the code through the agent at the kiosk. Theres no other good way to get in contact if you have issues besides the kiosk as no one answers the phone number that they have listed/provided for any immediate assistance.

Room was very clean with upgraded plumbing and electric. I only stayed overnight as it is close to Glendale Adventist hospital. The virtual check in process is through a kiosk which was unfamiliar to me and took longer than expected. Traffic noise from the street was easily blocked by the in room fan/ac.

Terrible check in experience. There is no staff on the premises, only a kiosk that connects you via video meeting to someone in a call center. I waited for over 25 minutes “on hold” at the kiosk, with no indication of how many people were ahead of me, whether there was anyone on duty, or how long the expected wait was. Then the check in process itself was clunky. The video meeting disconnected at one point, and it was difficult to talk with the person on the other end of the line. The room was fine, small but clean and recently renovated. They leave incredibly bright floodlights on at night and there are no blackout blinds, so the room was super bright when we were trying to sleep. There were two other things that seemed scammy to me. First, the reviews on Expedia are excellent, but the reviews on Google (which I only saw after booking) are terrible. Second, we booked last minute and the room was listed at a discount. We thought we were getting a good deal. After having stayed there, it seems like the discount was a trick, because this is clearly a cheap motel, and the full price they advertise would be extremely high for what the hotel is. Overall, would recommend avoiding this property.

I waited for over 25 minutes “on hold” at the kiosk, with no indication of how many people were ahead of me, whether there was anyone on duty, or how long the expected wait was. Then the check in process itself was clunky. The video meeting disconnected at one point, and it was difficult to talk with the person on the other end of the line. The room was fine, small but clean and recently renovated. They leave incredibly bright floodlights on at night and there are no blackout blinds, so the room was super bright when we were trying to sleep. There were two other things that seemed scammy to me. First, the reviews on Expedia are excellent, but the reviews on Google (which I only saw after booking) are terrible. Second, we booked last minute and the room was listed at a discount. We thought we were getting a good deal. After having stayed there, it seems like the discount was a trick, because this is clearly a cheap motel, and the full price they advertise would be extremely high for what the hotel is. Overall, would recommend avoiding this property.

The lobby/check in experience was very cool. It was virtual and fast. The room itself was extremely clean, it felt like a little paradise. Parking is $10 a night, and there isn’t a smart tv, we brought our own Roku stick.

I was surprised to arrive to a property with no front desk. The check in is done in a kiosk with a remote agent. I was a little insecure with that at first, but that feeling was quickly gone, thanks to the great interactions with the agents. Very fast answer through the kiosk. The agent I interacted with the most was Shania, as I ended up extending my stay twice. She made the whole process quick and seamless. She was always incredibly polite, thoughtful and attentive. Every member of the cleaning team was polite and helpful, ready to accommodate requests. The rooms are small, but cozy and have a great layout. If you don’t need a kitchen, and are just looking for comfortable, clean, well designed room and bathroom, this place is a great choice. The area is very quiet and I had no issues with safety. It was great to be in a small and contained space instead of staying in a hotel with hundreds of rooms. Convenient parking and easy access. I live in Los Angeles and booked the hotel as I was moving to a new house. I had my mother visiting town and it was a lovely, comfortable and convenient stay for us.

Perfect stay for a short vacation if you are planning to mostly be out and about. In the beginning of our stay we had some water heater problems but the staff was very quick and friendly when fixing the problem. The hotel is located right off the freeway so there is a lot of cars going by but we weren’t bothered by the noise. Overall good stay where we felt safe and had the basic necessities.

The Leef is super cute, clean, fresh spot that made a quick turn around trip from Vegas to Cali comfortable for both myself and my husband. Great location next to freeway, food spots and Target. Great price.

Room was very clean with upgraded plumbing and electric. I only stayed overnight as it is close to Glendale Adventist hospital. The virtual check in process is through a kiosk which was unfamiliar to me and took longer than expected. Traffic noise from the street was easily blocked by the in room fan/ac.

The room itself was small but cute. The rooms have no microwave and no ice machines on site. Its a self check in and the internet was not the best so it did take us awhile for the virtual assistant to check us in. The area is very sketchy. A lot of homeless right outside the hotel.

Chambre en parfait état, très propre, très bien décoré, nécessaire de toilettes au top ! Je recommande les yeux fermés. Petit bémol : un peu bruyant avec la route passante mais je suis un bon dormeur donc ok pour moi.

Très bel emplacement, check-in simple et rapide. J'ai retiré une étoile pour le service et personnel puisque le lobby est un guichet en visio conférence, mais c'est une pratique qui semble très courante à Los Angeles. Très bon service malgré tout, nous avons passé un bon voyage et le logement était propre, dans un coin tranquille.

⚠️ FAIR WARNING to anyone thinking about booking a stay at THE LEEF. We stayed for 3 days/2 nights. The room itself is cute, and while there’s no microwave—which is inconvenient—it wasn’t a huge deal. What IS a huge deal is that we found TWO ROACHES in our room on the very first night. I reported it the following morning, but they weren’t able to provide us with a different room. Instead, I was offered cleaning services for that day and one day of free parking (aka $10) as compensation. However, on the next morning - checkout day, we found TWO MORE ROACHES. Four roaches during a two-night stay is absolutely unacceptable. A hotel should be able to provide guests with a clean, pest-free room, and the fact that we continued finding roaches after reporting the issue is disgusting. And don’t expect much when it comes to customer service. The so-called “lobby” is essentially just a screen with a virtual representative. When you have an actual issue that requires assistance, it makes the experience even more frustrating. I genuinely hope no one else has to worry about accidentally bringing roaches home with them after staying here. Do yourself a favor: if you value cleanliness and want a pest-free stay, DON’T STAY AT THE LEEF.

Front desk kiosk area was swarming with mosquitoes. Kiosk guy said he would get the cleaning staff to address it but I witnessed them leave right after. No support structure for immediate assistance. Nice renovated property and renovated rooms. Small bathroom so be aware of that. Good price for the stay though. Everywhere else is rundown for the same price
