ECHO Suites Extended Stay by Wyndham Johnson City Medical CR

The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Upon arriving at the hotel I struggled to get in! They do not have automatic doors!! You have to struggle to get a heavy door open and then attempt to pull your luggage threw and then repeat this process with my next bag, I think it it’s ridiculous that that you have to do this process and 3 times!! Two sets of doors to get to check in desk and then another to get into the hotel!! I understand that they are attempting to keep the cost down by not providing any kitchen utensils, pans, dishes and cutlery but someone flying in this would not be the best choice to stay - who fly’s with pots and pans, dishes etc. I had to run to the Walmart to purchase all that I needed. Walmart does have bpa free bowls, plates, cutlery, sharp knife, dish soap, paper towels and a special induction pot. This accommodation would be great for folks traveling by vehicles but if you plan on using the kitchen I would not suggest it to those flying in. I believe they should give the guests options to some rooms stocked at a higher rate and some where they are completely self sufficient suites. They only provide one tea towel-at the least they should provide a dish sponge to wash the dishes. Also the water flowing from the upper rooms is very loud. I was on the ground floor and when the guest in the room above used the bathroom in the middle of the night, it would wake me up. I think they should have insulated the pipes more for a more comfortable stay.

Check in was ok. The front desk at checkout was very nice and informative. We discovered ice machine is not an option. Ok we went and bought ice. WiFi you are allowed 2 devices. Ok no problem ( I had 3 but ok ) well I guess it didn’t matter because it wasn’t connecting most of the time. Beds were ok but sheets were Not soft. We were woke up by a fire alarm. Someone had a small fire in their room ( extended stay they have stove tops) not the greatest for a heart patient. I went to wash my face and there was a black hair in my wash cloth. I used a different one. Went into the shower pulled the curtain to see 2 old stiff washcloths on top of curtain. I’m showering and slipped, luckily there was a shower bar to grab onto. It’s a new hotel. It’s been open 8 weeks. The only good thing is an amazing coffee dispenser with latte, espresso and many other options. So no frills no ice, No breakfast hardly any WiFi stiff and sheets. Pro: the young girl at checkout was great. Excellent coffee machine nice looking room

The main thing i noticed is that the gym is very tiny with only one treadmill.

Please note they do not provide some amenities like a regular hotel such as coffee pot in room, hand towels (only provide washcloths and bath towels), and room service. They do have a small kitchen area but dishes and cookware have to be rented from the front desk.

Was not clearly listed on Expedia, but this hotel is more of an extended stay with limited amenities, and no room service during the stay. Meaning no clean linens, towels, very small complimentary soap, and no breakfast. I guess it was okay as a cheap stay. Very nice new building.

They turn off the AC from midnight to 6am at this location. So it gets hot at night there.. They only have one elevator and it stopped working the night before my departure and i was on the third floor... so overall not bad but it could have been better.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Property was very clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable. Large TV. No iron or ironing board available. Laundry facility on site. Small work out area. Centrally located.

The staff was pleasant, very nice, same as other reviews, there was the occasional nightly smoke alarm and fire department visit, the only real drawback is no real amenities kind of a trade-off, I moved to a different hotel for better amenities, but then the place I moved to smelled funny and was much older, lesson learned. I should’ve just stayed for the final three nights at Echo suites.

This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. I will definitely go there again. Parking was always convenient

Very clean & almost brand new...been open about 6 months. Convenient location. Quiet, clean, nicely appointed, comfortable.

Nice place. Only stayed a night. Room was spacious and comfortable. Room was clean but the lobby and halls were so so. Elevator pretty dirty. Loved the full size frig and kitchenette in the room but it lacked dishes, silverware, cups, cooking items. Not sure if this was just our room by accident or if the entire hotel does not provide these items. Seems silly to offer a kitchenette and cook top but not have a way to use it or even drink a cup of coffee if you use the pot in the room. Overall, it served our needs and was reasonably priced.

This is a new hotel so it should be 5 stars in every category. Unfortunately when we arrived the air wasn’t working in our room so we have to move to another room. Then in the second room the bed sheets were stained. Not great for a hotel that has been open 10 weeks.

The staff was wonderful. However my bed linen was dirty. I pulled back the comforter to reveal other people’s hair on the linen which caused me to sleep on top of the comforter and freeze all night.

The room was nice. Im a bigger guy, 6'3 so i appreciated shower being decent size and the shower head being higher than usual. Everything was freshly remodeled. No complaints!

Bed was comfortable. Walls are thin. I could hear the tv upstairs til 2:30 in the morning the second night. We were near the entrance and could hear the slamming of doors. Would not stay there again

Everything was excwllwnt about this location witht he exception of rooms not being sound proofed. Staff was super, rooms were exceptionally clean.

Clean and comfortable room. Hotel is new, only open 7 weeks. Convenient storage cubs for clothing and personal items. Excellent climate control. Full size refrigerator. Nice microwave. Did not use two burner stove. Only minor inconvenience was lack of facial tissues.

Very new. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good sized television. Really good experience for a long term stay.

They couldn’t get the TV to work. No one knew how to get it fixed. It’s a brand new hotel. The air conditioner doesn’t work properly. You wouldn’t believe this from a “new” hotel. Probably will not be back.

We came to this property last minute after a terrible experience at the Doubletree in Johnson City. The staff was so friendly as it was close to midnight when we arrived. She ensured that we got in the doors ok as we all unloaded our heavy loaded car. She was patient with my daughter when she dumped our cooler over on the way in. We also had a situation the second night with my daughter getting sick and needing to change bedding at 4a. Though we tried hard to rinse everything as much as possible before giving it to the staff, it obviously still needed to be washed. Adriana took it without seeming bothered and got us a whole new bedding set and wishing my daughter to feel better. Very professional and caring. This property has no amenities but if you are only looking for a place to sleep or a place with a kitchenette and beds, this is a great option. The staff was nice, the hotel is very very clean, felt very secure, and the beds were very comfortable

But it was the hotel was new and fairly clean. However, they advertise themselves as a hotel, but do not have any of the normal amenities that an apartment suite Hotel should have. Not even an ice cube tray. The front desk was not terribly helpful and pretty stingy about what they would give out in terms of towels or ice cube trays or anything. No hairdryer in the room, nothing. For that reason, it was not a really pleasant stay.

Overall, the stay was good. It was a new hotel so everything was new and clean. The front desk staff was very nice. The only negative things were that they charge you $12 for towel service if you are not staying for a week or more. Also, the walls are paper thin. Other than that it is a great place to stay and in a good location.

Although this was a brand new hotel (only 5 months old), the accoustics were poor. We could hear activity around our room (TV and bed creaking noises thru the wall, doors slamming, water in the pipes when other people were showering). This hotel had no ice machine. They have full size fridge and cooktop, but no dishes, cookware or silverware. Clean, safe area, friendly staff.

I chose this property to stay following a knee replacement so I could postpone doing stairs at home. I needed a place with a kitchen to keep ice packs frozen. That is the only perk at this property. The kitchette was not stocked with anything: no drinkware, no utensils, no pans, nothing. There were no items available for use at the front desk either. So, after bringing me some food, my caretaker had to go to a store and purchase a bowl and spoon so I could eat. I understand not stocking every suite, but at least have something available. The room was clean and comfortable but I was so annoyed by the lack of anything that would make a stay comfortable. What's worse is that it was over $300/night and I had to buy dishes. I left after one night. A person who needs an extended stay will probably be surprised at what's lacking here, especially when there are full service properties for a lower price.

Fabulous hotel. Great beds and room only thing i didnt like was there was not a coffee pot in room and i had to go down to the lobby to get it.
