The heat in the room was excellent. The parking was fantastic and well lit. The microwave and the refrigerator worked fantastic. The bed was very comfortable. And very clean.

We like the property. For the price it's worth it. It is an older hotel they are updating. The staff were amazing. Very friendly. Parking is good. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Beds were very comfortable. No pool. No breakfast but they do have good coffee till 4pm. Police patrol through regularly but it seems like a safe side of town. We had a great stay. We would stay again for the price.

I stayed there because even though I got a room on the second floor, there was an elevator that I could use to take me up to my room. I am a 68 year old woman and it’s hard for me going up and down the stairs and holding things on the last day that I was leaving the elevators did not work. It was very hard for me going up and down taking my things to the car.

My husband stays here when he travels to work. The staff are very nice and kept his room clean. The staff are very nice here also. It seems like a safe place to stay. They have cameras and the police patrol through but they do not bother anyone. It's a smoke free hotel but they have a gazebo area for smokers. There are lots of restaurants in the area and shopping. Close to Bristol speedway and lake watauga is not far if you like outdoor activities. This is a budget friendly hotel. Mostly workers and families traveling through. It's not the Ritz but it's clean and affordable.

I would not recommend this location. The moment we pulled in we were unsure but due to a busy weekend in Bristol one of the only options for an important weekend in Kingsport. Staff was very friendly. But walked into our room, it smelled musty. Beds were tiny. Got ready to get into bed and found several hairs on both beds. Prepared to take a shower and found hair in the tub, towel was nasty. Checked out early.

This hotel was NOT clean. The carpet was sticky in between the two beds, the A/C display was broken and took forever to figure out how to get it to the right temperature, the A/C fan was SO loud it woke us up multiple times throughout the night, and despite all of the signs stating no smoking in the room the bed sheets reeked of cigarette smoke and we had to wash all of our clothes when we got to our final destination. I would never stay here again. This hotel desperately needs an overhaul. It's old and grimy.

When we first walked in to the room there was a roach crawling up the door. A couple ran under the bed. We immediately checked out and asked for a refund. I took pics of the roaches and shared with front desk. I have yet to receive a refund from Expedia or Red Roof. Had to find another hotel during a torrential rainfall. Thanks Echo Suites for being awesome.

I had bed bugs in my bed when I woke up. I told the front desk about it and showed them a video of them before I left. They didn’t reach out so I called guest relations after I woke up 24 hours later covered in bites from the night I stayed there. I had to seek medical attention. I sent them all the proof, pictures and the video of the bugs. They only offered me 35% of my money back. I will NEVER stay in a red roof inn again.

The check in process was super easy and fast with the lovely night manager. She was pleasant and efficient. The room was on the ground floor and we could hear everything from people hanging out in the parking lot and the next door rooms constantly slamming their doors. Lastly, the bedding was so poor that not only did we have trouble falling asleep, but when we woke up, we felt sore and beat up. I actually went out to sleep in our car because that was more comfortable than the bed and flat pillow.

Was told some phones work, others don't. Was told the unsecured internet service worked sometimes. Heater did not work, although was not necessary. I would stay at this Red Roof Inn again.

Was good for the price. Clean room . Only complaint was the bed was hard as a rock and the pillows were as thin as paper . Really need to replace the pillows atleast.

When I first booked the room the website didn’t say that this room had a Microwave and Fridge so I packed my big cooler with ice, drinks and sandwich makings. Lo and behold, as soon as I opened the door to the room, there was a microwave and fridge! I didn’t need my cooler after all. A very pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable. Excellent stay!!

The room smelled awful when we first walked in. Saw a towel on the floor, realized it was there cuz the air conditioner was leaking water. But too late as I had already set some of my stuff down, so it got wet. We were too tired to ask if we could get a new room. So just went to sleep. The shower had amazing pressure. The staff was very pleasant! Nice location - close to multiple restaurants! Felt very safe!! So plenty of good to go with the bad!

We picked this hotel because it was rated 8 out of 10. I would vote it a 3, maybe a 4. The room was so small. The bath area again, so small. A few of the electrical plugs were burned out and could not be used.

This is definitely a no frills motel. The clerk was friendly and efficient. The comfort level was low. The beds were uncomfortable. There were to two throw pillows that were small and thin that provided no comfort. There was a chair in the room where the vinyl was peeling. Really?? The bathroom was small and had not been cleaned. There was no servicing of the room. They provided a stack of new towels with only one bath towel for two people. The AC worked well.

Customer service at front desk is beyond rude and unhelpful. Our bathroom was clearly NOT cleaned after the last guests and front desk did nothing to help. We had 4 people including children staying in our room and there were bugs, but front desk would do nothing because we “used the room.” We had only been checked in 5 minutes and they refused any help or accommodation. Front desk lady also keeps guests locked out of front lobby and their own rooms. She is one of the rudest humans I have encountered in a long time. Also, floors were not completely replaced during their landlord special remodel. There is still carpet underneath the beds and it’s disgusting. The entire place is being “remodeled” with paint and old laminate floor that looks like it came from a school gym. Should probably close this place down. Also crackheads right outside ALL NIGHT.

The front desk checked is into a king bed room, even though i asked if we could have our 3 year old with us due to a baby sitter issue. The room was barely larger than the bed, and the ac didnt work. I went tk the front desk and asked for an upgraded room to accomodate our family and was told they were sold out. I spoke to online agents with hotels.com about the issue and was told they could do nothing for 24 hours, so i spoke with the agent and it was recommended to get another room at the same hotel since it was availeble on the hotels.com app. The front desk agent at red roof inn lied. I went back down to the office to check into the new room, and the desk person changed her story and gave us a double bed and refused to check in the second reservation. She told me to refer back to hotels.com for the refund. Hotels.com called me at 12:48am while i was in bed in the room with our daughter. Very rude to call in the middle of the night, and now im being told that my money will not be refunded for either of the reservations i made, regardless of the terrible experience we had, and the effort made just to have a safe space to have my family stay overnight. Awful experience, and i will make it known to everyone i know and will actively pursue and escalate for a refund until one of the charges are removed from my card.
The front desk checked is into a king bed room, even though i asked if we could have our 3 year old with us due to a baby sitter issue. The room was barely larger than the bed, and the ac didnt work. I went tk the front desk and asked for an upgraded room to accomodate our family and was told they were sold out. I spoke to online agents with hotels.com about the issue and was told they could do nothing for 24 hours, so i spoke with the agent and it was recommended to get another room at the same hotel since it was availeble on the hotels.com app. The front desk agent at red roof inn lied. I went back down to the office to check into the new room, and the desk person changed her story and gave us a double bed and refused to check in the second reservation. Check in clerk was great. Male manager was a nightmare. Our toilet handle broke off into my hand and I was told that it would be fixed the next day. Not acceptable. He basically told me too bad he’d be glad to refund my money and I could “have fun” finding a different place to stay (graduation weekend). After I went back up front to get my refund the mgr followed me to my car trying to get me to stay…the toilet had “been fixed” (handle shoved back in the hole) by the maintenance man who 5 min earlier wasn’t available until the next day. Mgr then denied being ugly to me. So down the road we went to a different hotel at 11pm Never have I been spoken to by a customer service rep. Will NEVER stay at a red roof again. Save yourself and don’t stay here. Sleep Inn in Kingsport was a quick drive, great customer service, clean, AND A WORKING TOILET.

Horrible 4 day stay. We, an 82 man & 73 year old lady were evicted on 4th night at 12:06 am in 26 degree weather for complaining about the card key not working. Both employees need serious training in anger management & respect for not only elderly but all customers of their establishment. The lady employee almost jumped over the counter yelling at me saying if I didn’t shut up & listen to the man, that looked like a weary traveler’& not an employee, she would evict me. My lady friend went to find out what was going on & the male worker ended up evicting both of us at midnight in 26 degree whether . We were escorted out by 3 fully dressed & armed Johnson City officers. Shameful conduct for anyone serving the public. The police officers were very courteous, professional & respectful.

I was greatly impressed by the staff, the property, and the room. The staff at the desk were so friendly and helpful. You definitely get bang for your buck at this hotel. It was a quiet, restful, enjoyable stay! I definitely will stay here again on my next trip to Johnson City!!!!

Staff was the rudest I’ve ever seen, multiple people walked in and she couldn’t have been more rude. 1 flat pillow on each side of the bed, beds were uncomfortable. Seemed like they had long term tenants living here, did not feel safe at all

Convenient location near interstate and close to shopping and restaurants. Target is directly across the road as are a few restaurants. Parking seemed adequate. Staff were pleasant and efficient at both check-in/out. While it seemed to be an older property, everything worked ok and my room was clean with no surprises.

This is a great place to stay in Johnson City, especially for the price point. Its pretty centrally located and gives quick access to many restaurants, shopping and even the mall. We’ve stayed here a couple of time and enjoyed both stays. The rooms are small, but they’re clean and have all the basic necessities you’d want when traveling. The linens are good, too. But, my favorite part is the air conditioning. Our first room was so cold you could hang meat in it, which is absolutely perfect for us. We had the best couple of nights sleep in a long while, because the room was so dark and cool. Bravo! We will be back next weekend!

This is an older building. There have been updates, but the age still shows. It is close to a lot, and is not expensive. I didn’t have to listen to arguments/tv/ bathroom noises from the next room, but it is across the street from a fire station, truckers stay here, and apparently trash pickup is at 5 am on Mondays. The staff is courteous. When I come back, I will stay here again

We picked this hotel because it was rated 8 out of 10. I would vote it a 3, maybe a 4. The room was so small. The bath area again, so small. A few of the electrical plugs were burned out and could not be used.

We like the property. For the price it's worth it. It is an older hotel they are updating. The staff were amazing. Very friendly. Parking is good. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Beds were very comfortable. No pool. No breakfast but they do have good coffee till 4pm. Police patrol through regularly but it seems like a safe side of town. We had a great stay. We would stay again for the price.

Honestly place was not to worst I have stayed but pretty terrible and this is why: The floors were not cleaned before we got our room. The room smelled deep of cigerettes. Sheets/ blankets had stains and crusty stuff on them Mattress and pillows where extremely uncomfortable. I will say though I am glad I did not encounter any bedbugs during my stay. It was a very cheap room which was good but still wish I would of just paid a little more and not felt grossed out in my room. Probably needless to say I will not be staying again and recommend whoever you are to do the same.

This place is falling down. Elevators were out. Parts of the building have yellow tape because balconies are collapsing. Police were at the property when I came back from dinner. The price is not low enough for the condition of this place. Hotels.com were great in getting me a refund.
