We had a room with kitchen. The room is renovated, quite big. We had a great stay with family and 2 kids. Location and parking are also very convenient - you can walk around to a super store, coffee shop etc. Above all, the lady at front desk is super helpful and provided us great customer service. We will definitely stay here again!

This place is terrific! Nice outdoor dining and seating areas, very clean, kitchenette is a nice touch. Rooms were very pretty and spacious. What lovely surprise! Waimea is a fun little town and gave us a different area to explore. Highly recommended.

March 2024: very enjoyable 3 days in a cute drive in motel. rooms are very reasonably priced. ours had a nice little kitchenette. the bathroom was nicely renovated. most important to us: It was clean. don’t come expecting pools and beaches, but if you are looking for a nice place to make day trips from, this will do nicely. many eating options within 5 minutes of walking, as well as a grocery. okay, it’s not 5 Star eating. mostly small local restaurants. we would stay here again. one of the reviews I read included a complaint about making the tv work. first, why are you watching tv? second, all hotel tv systems suck. third, they have a laminated instruction sheet on tv use.

overall, an enjoyable spot. however, early morning landscaping noise was annoying along with gas powered leaf blowers. use electric!! a written local station TV program guide would be useful. staff was friendly and helpful. furnishings were excellent. ice machine was great. grass mowers and leaf blowers should be electric, not noisy gas powered or use a broom!!

This was a cute place to stay and staff at the front desk were pleasant. Although these were good aspects, there was small roaches that we found while laying down on the bed. There was also an unpleasant with either the bedding itself or the hand-soap that we were using. I would stay here again amidst these unpleasantries but would bring things to avoid these situations.

Got off on the wrong foot when they said there was a $35 early check in fee. We were 20 minutes early. She ended up letting us in though. The room was very nice and quite large but the floor was dirty. TV was frustrating. We usually sit outside most of the time but nights were chilly. Town was a disappointment. We expected kind of quaint but its not at all. But grocery store was good and easy to walk to. I thought our room had a stove top but it didn’t. Kitchen was a little sparsely furnished. No hair dryer. Overall it was a nice place but I wouldn’t stay there again.

The rooms were recently renovated and are beautiful. However the night time temperatures in Waimea in winter can be windy and cold. The Lodge does not provide heat for the rooms, and the room was cool. This made it necessary to dress in layers and to sleep with extra blankets. A small space heater would have been appreciated !!

The staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were very clean and nice. The only problem I had was that they cut my Wi-Fi service the last night of my stay. They must have made a mistake when inputting my Wi-Fi service dates.

We stay here often. No frills, but the rooms are comfortable and staff is helpful and friendly. Just due to rural location, WiFi is weak in case you need to do business, not the best connection. Also, water pressure is slight again likely rural living. Otherwise, very comfortable.

Hotel was nice, but there was no HVAC unit or even a fan. It got cold every night in the Waimea highlands, so sleeping was uncomfortable. There is no insulation so that everything said or done in the neighboring rooms came through loud and clear all night long. Difficult to sleep with that going on continuously.

You have to apparently get a hold of the place before 4 pm or you are out on the street. I tries multiple times to call them during business hours. I received the answering machine. After 4 calls unanswered, the message said that there would be a number to call oncw I got there for a late check in. I areived at 8pm. No one was there. There was no number to call except the one posted. They would not answer my calls after hours as well. I went to the restaurant in front and inquired. They gave me the number I already had. The island was completely booked out that night. My family with 2 young kids had to sleep in the car. After all this they still charges me for the room! These people are crooks! I would give it a one star if possible. Run as fast as you can away!!!!!

Due to late check-in, staff was able to provide instructions upon my arrival. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and hot water for a relaxing shower. The noise from other guests could be heard. If you’re into watching the tv, watch a YouTube video on how to adjust the tv volume. Would definitely stay here again.

The studio apartment was a charming place conveniently located close to many amenities (cafes, groceries, restaurants, etcetera). The staff was very friendly and eager to help. Waimea was our base to explore other areas such as Pololu valley, Hawi and others. The manager was very helpful in providing local information of good restaurants around all the multiple areas we visited. It was always good to have an insiders' point of view. Thank you!

The only downside was the road the lodge is on. It was very busy depending on what time of day you left or came back. It was a wonderful, peaceful stay in beautiful Waimea with lots in walking range!

They could've offered pastries & beverages in the morning. Otherwise, it was nice and restful. My spouse thought the coffee "was crappy."

March 2024: very enjoyable 3 days in a cute drive in motel. rooms are very reasonably priced. ours had a nice little kitchenette. the bathroom was nicely renovated. most important to us: It was clean. don’t come expecting pools and beaches, but if you are looking for a nice place to make day trips from, this will do nicely. many eating options within 5 minutes of walking, as well as a grocery. okay, it’s not 5 Star eating. mostly small local restaurants. we would stay here again. one of the reviews I read included a complaint about making the tv work. first, why are you watching tv? second, all hotel tv systems suck. third, they have a laminated instruction sheet on tv use.

We love this lodge and stay here every time we are in Waimea, at least annually. The views from the spacious rooms are a gorgeous sight in the mornings. The staff are efficient, the parking and wifi free. The bathroom is also spacious. The location can't be beat, it's convenient and central to the quaint town. You will have a little noise from the upper units if you are in the bottom units, but the town is quiet and we have not had any terribly loud neighbors. Also, the area is rural and the water pressure is a bit weak. Regardless of those minor things, we absolutely love this little gem.
