We rented the property for this past week for my daughter's wedding. The location was perfect because the wedding was across the street. We had a small Welcome Party and After-Wedding breakfast and the layout was perfect. There are two nice size decks, one looking out to both the bay and ocean. The kitchen is a very nice open size, perfect for entertaining! The new furniture in the livingroom was nice as well. Anytime I had to reach out to the owner, Jen, she was very quick to reply and answer our questions. The only issue was a surplus of ants in the kitchen. We did use traps and were mindful of crumbs and food being left out, but it wasn't preventable. I would think a professional spraying, etc., would be helpful. You do want to be sure to bring your bed linens, towels, etc. The house sleeps 12 with 3 bedrooms. The madter bedroom has a king bed and then a side nook that has a queen bed, bunk beds and futon. Privacy would not be great for separate couples, but that room would be great for a big family. Also, we brpught a dog, so it worked well with having a crate. Overall, our stay was great, the location was super convenient to many restaurants, storescand the wedding venue. We would definitely stay again and hope to do so!

The location of this place was excellent. The kitchen was spacious and the living area very pleasant. Plenty of bed choices. I was not happy that the hot tub was not clean enough to use. There were a lot of ants from the moment we arrived, which was annoying. And the furniture is quite worn. We still enjoyed our stay, and it would be excellent with some added attention.

The house was in a great location and the bathrooms were nice. The bedrooms were small and worn down. There was a review I read in early July with issues noted and none of them have been addressed, except they did fix the dishwasher while we were there. There was a charge for them having a hot tub and a sign that said not to use it, I assume because of the scum in it. I do believe a refund for that should issued.The washer had wet clothes remaining in it. The closet was still broken in one of the rooms. The knob on the stove falls off and it was hard to turn the stove off. The temperature fluctuated the whole time we were there. It was 80 degrees the day we got there in the house. There is also no pressure in the outside shower. It did have a large open plan upstairs with many places to sit, which was great. Close to beach and stores.

The location of this house is awesome- we had toddlers with us and it was an easy back and fourth from the house with them. Definitely had a good amount of space in the house and we really loved all the seating the living room offered. Host was quick with responses. Would definitely have given this place a five star rating if it had the hottub. Was informed less than a week prior that the hottub was “in the process of being replaced” unfortunately I see this happen a lot with places listing a hottub as an amenity and it makes it hard to trust hosts who claim they have a working hottub. we would not have even considered renting this house if it didn’t have a hottub. The weather during our stay was pretty bad and we could’ve spent those dreary days relaxing in the hottub which is why we like that feature.

My wife and I enjoyed evening fires in the wood burning fireplace, morning moments (and a couple late nights!) in the hot tub, and walks on the beach. The location was incredible! Just a half block from the ocean pathway to the beach. The views of the sunrise and sunsets from the kitchen and dining area were beautiful! The grill on the back deck was new, as was the kitchen sink and live room couches & chairs. We had such a nice relaxing week. We hope to book another week later this year. Thank you!

The property was clean and the new hot tub was awesome. The kitchen had all the cooking pots and utensils we need for our meals. We love the house's proximity to the ocean. It is our second year staying and we will be back.

The location is amazing. Just a short walk to the beach and restaurants so no driving needed. If you like to run there's a nice long uninterrupted path. It's also far enough from the corner and any of the noisier places so we slept well which was nice with little kids. The kitchen pantry was well stocked with seasonings and there was lots of room to store things we brought with us and all sit around the table. The rest of the house though was really subpar. When we pulled in the trash was absolutely overflowing onto the ground and animals had eaten through the various bags. While the owner sent someone to take care of it, it required multiple follow ups. Similarly, the outdoor shower had remnants of previous guests's bar soap and clearly had not been rinsed of any sand. The owner did send out someone to take the trash out of the shower but never rinsed it out for us. The entire house is shag carpeted. It's very dated and smells musty at best, like urine at worst (much time was spent on the ground with the baby). We kept finding items from previous renters in corners and it just never felt clean. The shower in the master bathroom has mold or mildew all over the ceiling and the tiles are breaking apart. Lots of scratch and bang marks all over the walls. The grill does not function properly - which is probably for the best since there are no long handle grill tools. We appreciated our time so close to the beach but will likely await updates to rent again.

Home pictured in ad not the home, but was an ocean view from the front deck. There was never a pic of the actual property. Most lights in master BR not working because one circuit breaker was tripped. Spouse had to find the box to make lamps operational. Toilet seat lid in hallway/sm bathroom brokenDish washer soap dispenser lid on door broken. East queen bedroom closet doors not operational, one off it’s track lending against water tank in closet. Could not use that closet. Many lights unplugged in great room. Tv wasn’t operational because cable box was found totally unplugged lying on the floor behind the entertainment cabinet. Spouse reconnected. Old coffee grounds still in coffee maker2 broken back patio chairsBroken kitchen chair near hot tub. Hot tub had scum and leaves in it. Note in kitchen says not to use the hot tub contrary to home description. Trash bin totally full/ over flowing plus lots of either trash bags by hot tub area for our Sat ck in. Property is in a great location. Problems are dirty dishes in the cupboards; we had to clean inside of one of the ovens before use, oven knob fell off, mouse poop in utensil drawer, dishwasher soap despiser door broken-missing, dish washer did not clean dishes, grill was extremely dirty cleaned as best we could. The carpets turned our socks and feet black. Door to master bedroom broken. Microwave was unplugged when we arrived, found the exhaust fan does not shut off. Dishes are cracked chipped. This place is the best! I booked it for my best friend’s bachelor party and his main goal was to go to the beach as much as possible and this house is feet away from the ocean. It’s also extremely close to great bars and restaurants.The actual house is so cool and perfect for a group of guys having a weekend away. It would also be a solid place for a family as well with plenty of sleeping space. The shower in the main bedroom is huge! And to make matters even more awesome, there’s a hot tub. I was in the house maybe 10 minutes before I suggested that we come back and stay again! Thank you Jen for all the check in information and for maintaining a dynamite property!

Overall, our stay was great, the location was super convenient to many restaurants, storescand the wedding venue. We would definitely stay again and hope to do so!

This property was great. Having never been to Dewey Beach I was unsure what to expect. But the house is a 50 yard walk to the beach, across the street from a marina, and walking distance to everything you need. House was clean, beds comfortable and checking in was easy. Had a couple questions for homeowner and she responded immediately. Would consider staying here with my family in the future.

it was great to be able to get a partial week in summer, so hard to get everybody away at the same time! My kids were able to invite their friends, and loved the big sleeping nook in the primary bedroom! with the bathrooms on the first floor with the bedrooms and laundry, everything was so convenient! There’s so many places to hang out upstairs in the living area with a front and a back deck there was always outdoor space available, no matter the time of day you could find something comfortable, the beach and bay views from front deck was an absolute highlight! Lovely to have coffee in the morning while the teens slept! The 2 mile walk to Rehoboth made boardwalk activities, accessible, as did the jolly jolly trolley just across the street by the Hyatt. Staying in a somewhat older home with a cool 80s vibe, was very relaxing with teens who can be so hard on things! The hot tub was a massive bonus! a little hard to get in and out of for the middle age set, as it was quite high off the ground, and a little far for the stairs that are provided, but certainly manageable! The fireplace was such a fun bonus on the one dark, and stormy day that we had, it was so cozy to read by, watch, movies, play games and do puzzles, we may have enjoyed our rainy day the most! Hope to come back next year! When I had a question about ceiling fan function, the owners got right back to me, and were extremely helpful!

My wife and I enjoyed evening fires in the wood burning fireplace, morning moments (and a couple late nights!) in the hot tub, and walks on the beach. The location was incredible! Just a half block from the ocean pathway to the beach. The views of the sunrise and sunsets from the kitchen and dining area were beautiful! The grill on the back deck was new, as was the kitchen sink and live room couches & chairs. We had such a nice relaxing week. We hope to book another week later this year. Thank you!

Stayed with friends for a wedding weekend in dewey. Location was amazing. The house was clean and better than the online photos! There were a lot of ants all over the top floor. I know it is inevitable but just FYI. Otherwise very clean, had lots of sun during the daytime through widows, enjoyed sun in the porches, and great communication from the host! Would visit again!

The place was great. We needed somewhere open to host Christmas dinner for 20 people and family members meeting before our wedding. This place is the best! I booked it for my best friend’s bachelor party and his main goal was to go to the beach as much as possible and this house is feet away from the ocean. It’s also extremely close to great bars and restaurants.The actual house is so cool and perfect for a group of guys having a weekend away. It would also be a solid place for a family as well with plenty of sleeping space. The shower in the main bedroom is huge! And to make matters even more awesome, there’s a hot tub. I was in the house maybe 10 minutes before I suggested that we come back and stay again! Thank you Jen for all the check in information and for maintaining a dynamite property!

The location is amazing. Just a short walk to the beach and restaurants so no driving needed. If you like to run there's a nice long uninterrupted path. It's also far enough from the corner and any of the noisier places so we slept well which was nice with little kids. The kitchen pantry was well stocked with seasonings and there was lots of room to store things we brought with us and all sit around the table. The rest of the house though was really subpar. When we pulled in the trash was absolutely overflowing onto the ground and animals had eaten through the various bags. While the owner sent someone to take care of it, it required multiple follow ups. Similarly, the outdoor shower had remnants of previous guests's bar soap and clearly had not been rinsed of any sand. The owner did send out someone to take the trash out of the shower but never rinsed it out for us. The entire house is shag carpeted. It's very dated and smells musty at best, like urine at worst (much time was spent on the ground with the baby). We kept finding items from previous renters in corners and it just never felt clean. The shower in the master bathroom has mold or mildew all over the ceiling and the tiles are breaking apart. Lots of scratch and bang marks all over the walls. The grill does not function properly - which is probably for the best since there are no long handle grill tools. We appreciated our time so close to the beach but will likely await updates to rent again.

the ocean could be seen and heard from the deck, the house was very open and inviting, we enjoyed the hot tub each day. it was only a minutes walk from house to the very nice beach and even in april there was plenty of attractions open for the family. we had a great time
