Belle Vue Hotel

Perfectly fine for my needs, a one night stop over for cycling. Well situated for some excellent quite lanes, with tough climbs. The food the night before was tasty enough, and the beer was very well kept. Very friendly staff. I was even able to take a shower after my ride, even though it went beyond the check out time. Comfy bed. Shower was nice and warm, even though it was a bit leaky. Room was a bit tired, but like I said, I wasn't after 5 star, and for the price it was perfectly fine.

It's a traditional old pub with rooms in a delightful village. We received a warm welcome, were shown to our rooms, and had a welcome dinner. Sunday nights are apparently busy, with a steady demand for food between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. The following morning we were served a good home-cooked breakfast. The hotel seems to be run by a farming family who have many animals to care for in addition to the human locals and the occasional international visitors. It's a lot to juggle, and they do a really good job of welcoming strangers into the midst of this village. My only concern was the housekeeping. I found someone's socks on the floor of my room, and my friends' room had a previous guest's towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. A little moving of furniture and checking behind doors would make all the difference to a guest's first impression. Despite that, the hospitality was great, and I would return.

Food was exceptional it was clean and tidy a served its perpus .

Place is okay but rooms looks really small. Doesn’t feel like hotel. More towards hostel
