Pod-Inn Hotel

I stayed at Pod-Inn while working remotely in Toronto, and it exceeded expectations. It’s extremely clean—bathrooms, showers, kitchen, and common areas are well maintained daily. Free breakfast includes toast, spreads, and cereal, with milk available in the fridge. There’s also a microwave and free washer/dryer with detergent provided, which is rare for budget stays. Shared spaces like the study room, phone booths, meditation room, changing room, and luggage storage are thoughtfully designed and very useful. Each pod also has a personal lockable cabinet for your valuables. Perfect location. Great for short visits, longer stays, or remote work—most guests just stay overnight, so the daytime spaces are quiet. Just a heads-up: 1. Some guests may snore, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. 2. The phone booths aren’t soundproof—don’t expect full privacy for calls. Overall, amazing value for the price. Would definitely stay again.

Not ideal if you have mobility issues, but otherwise a great stay. The host was exceptionally helpful, with clean towels provided and communal areas and bathrooms kept spotless. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of everything to go around.

I had only seen this type of sleeping accommodation in airports, but in the case of Pod-Inn Hotel it is combined with business centre “pods”, laundry and iron ing facility, shower and toilet, and, a roomy kitchen and work tables with WiFi in all areas.

I booked two nights, on my first night, I asked that I switch my pod to lower cabin but the guy said no as they are fully book. The second night there are available lower pods and I asked again but the same guys who checked me-in the first night looked annoyed. Not to make things complicated I told him if this is going to be an issue, just give me ear plugs. Luckily, they have it! The pods don't have ceilings so I can hear the air vents which was on top of my pods. See photos, for your reference. Other than this, the place is very clean and centrally located. The other front desk people are super nice and the lady who clean, is also super helpful and polite. Please check your bed sheets, comforters and pillow cases ahead before you sleep on it, I didnt do this. My suggestion would be to be a little assertive. I am too shy to make a fuss probably because most of thd people there are too nice and polite to me except for the guy who checked me-in, he seem to be condescending. For example, he showed me the room where you get your towels, and I asked should I get one now? He replied in a sarcastic tone, "Well, are you taking a shower right now?" I just refused to comment. Just watch out for this smart-ass and ignore. Because the other people there are super nice. Finally, don't forget that your pod number is your pass code to get in. The place closed at 11 pm as no one will be there at the front to help you. Overall, this place is worth the money to stay! I will recommend it,

They had a really nice wash and dry machine you could use which was great, and the bed came with headphones and a tv equipped with Roku which I thought was such a nice amenity! Room also came with a locker that fit all my things. Very big common area with kitchenette and huge fridge and the WiFi worked great! Location was very close to a lot of things and I was able to walk everywhere

I stayed here the night before Toronto waterfront marathon, it was cheap, it had a kitchen where you could prep your food ahead. A fridge, hot showers, plenty of towels, clean sleeping area, and kind service. If you are on a budget, needing a place to stay for 1-2 nights, this place would be perfect for you. This is not a 5 star hotel, do not expect such. I would personally stay here again.

Check in was quick and easy plus they give you a quick tour of the place and how to 'pod' concept works. Clean and well organized. An easy walk to the main centre. There are paid parking lots in close by. As we were staying at least 24 hours we paid a flat fee of $30. so not having to worry about additional parking fees after next day 6am daily cutoff. A nice restaurant/pub right next door!

Stayed here many times. Very clean and tidy common areas. I like the designated study/workspaces. The pods are well maintained, offering some sense of privacy and serve their function; the Roku TVs in each pod are a welcomed luxury. The breakfast is basic but sustainable. The greatest benefit is the location. It’s close proximity to Dundas Square/Eaton Centre/Mount Sinai and it’s accessibility

The staff member was very nice and helpful, he helped carry my bags up the multiple stairs. It is not an accessible space. I think in the description it should say it’s not accessible or easy for anyone with a bad back to get into or out of the pods. The whole bed structure would shake and groan loudly every time anyone moved in any of the multiple beds connected to each other too.

Safe for a single female traveller. A little hard to find at night due to small sign. Staff was helpful, pod was a welcome respite for sleeping, breakfast was coffee, toast, cereal. I would stay here again!

Everywhere was clean, from the common seating areas, kitchen, washrooms, to the pods themselves. Polite staff, nice location.

Pod was creaky and lacked ventilation. Every movement from neighboring pods or yours can be heard. One side of locker couldn’t open. Duvet didn’t come with a cover and it looked dirty so didn’t use it. Mattress was dirty looking and you had to put your own mattress cover on. Shower was cramped. No toiletries available in shower. They don’t offer late check-in after 11pm or breakfast before 7am, so take note if arriving late or leaving early. Quiet and safe area of town. Very walkable. Front desk guy was friendly and professional. This is more like a hostel than a hotel. I would not stay here again.

They had earplugs for free which was a nice touch.i slept very well with earplugs but if you dont have any you'll definitely hear the people around you. Overall a very nice place and will definitely come back if i need to stay in Toronto again.

Overall I had a great stay! It’s in such a convenient spot, which made my life much easier. The bed was more comfortable than other hotel beds I’ve had, and even though I never used either I appreciated the TV and lockable cabinet in each pod. I didn’t love that there was only curtains and no lockable doors for each pod, but I never felt unsafe so it was passable. I have a few small qualms with the hotel, but I don’t think it would stop me from coming back to this location. I’ve seen a few other reviewers point it out, but I did find it kind of strange that there were only two showers and 3 bathroom stalls in total for each gender; I was there during the week so I never had issues, but I can imagine there’d be a bit of a wait if you came at a busier day/hour. There was also quite a bit of wear and tear in the sleeping room and in the actual pods; broken hand rails, and a lot of holes in the wall. Not the end of the world, but could be fixed. Cleanliness overall was pretty decent; nothing overly offensive, but the one thing I noticed immediately was that there was hair absolutely everywhere- on the sheets, on the pillows, on the blanket, in the sink, on the towels, etc. This isn’t a massive deal, but it felt a little yucky. The blankets are just IKEA duvets with no cover, so they were a little yellow and used; they obviously can’t wash them after each guest so that left a bad taste in my mouth.

No big problems with the "room", which was actually a pod, although it's "security" consisted of a small cupboard that could be opened with your thumbnail in the lock, or else just yanked. The picture on Expedia showed a small room with bunk beds. VERY misleading.

It was the cheapest place to sleep in Toronto, so I can’t really complain. It was clean, and as stated. That said, I upgraded to a private room, assuming this came with a door and was quite disappointed to find all I got was a curtain. With the door being unlocked all night, it was definitely a little sketchy in that regard.

I did not end up staying. The place was clean and the staff helpful. Unfortunately my pod was an upper bunk . The tv only works if one has net flicks or Apple TV. The Ladder was very difficult to get up and down -90 degree angle. Perfect inexpensive accomodation if young and agile.

Overall, my stay was quite good. The place was clean, had no unpleasant smell, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The reason I can’t give it a full five stars is that I didn’t sleep very well — it was a bit noisy due to the number of guests, with sounds from walking, turning in bed, and the spring noise from the mattresses. The sound insulation between rooms could be better. I can see the staff are really trying — there are signs everywhere reminding people to keep quiet, and I truly appreciate their efforts. I would still choose this place again for a short stay of one or two nights, but for a longer stay I might prefer somewhere quieter. Apart from the noise issue, everything else — cleanliness and staff attitude — deserves recognition.

The hostel is very clean and the sleeping area comfortable and quiet. I was surprised that there was no ceiling (open air pods), which meant you could see lights and hear noises. Overall, a great affordable option.

The staff were very kind, but the pods could use some work. Felt very unfinished, and the upper pods were difficult to get into.

It’s a good option if you want to save money. However, be aware that the beds on the top have too much illumination so it might be difficult to sleep if you get those beds. The owner should charge cheaper for those beds

It was nice and clean. Breakfast was provided and the staff was friendly. Pod got kind of hot even with tiny fan provided and it was a little noisy. My first night was very quiet, second night not so much 😬

Walid, was fantastic. My flight to Toronto cancelled and I had to rebook. I was concerned about not getting to the Pod in time for checking in. Not only did he text and email me about procedures for late CC check in.. he waited for me untill 11:00. PM.. Now that’s great hospitality! Cheers

The staff and vibe were amazing. Everyone was respectful by being quiet and giving each other space, while also being friendly in the common area.

We stayed at the Pod-Inn Hotel for 1 night mid September. We arrived at union station via train and the hotel was super close-about a 10 minute walk which was fantastic. The hotel is also in an amazing area downtown close to many food options, drink options and the touristy stuff. The hotel had a clear sign on the outside so you knew the location. It definitely isn't a stay meant for anyone with mobility restrictions. Check in was smooth and quick, we were given a little tour and showed to our pod. The check in clerk was super friendly. We had a large pod which was a top bunk. It's a little difficult getting in and out via the ladder (especially if you get up multiple times at night to use the bathroom) but we managed. The pod was clean, and super comfortable, a little noisey moving around as others said because of whatever metal sheet board is underneath. Mainly I flt bad for the bottom person. Yes you can hear snores etc. But thats to be expected when you share space with others, we used ear buds and were fine. Please note the pod area is a quiet zone. No eating/drinks allowed. The bathrooms were clean and tidy. Towels available, nd the social area was also super nice. All in all great stay for a quick stop over. Close to everything, clean and affordable! The only thing I can say is I wish the towels/sheets and comforters were scent free. As a person with allergies and many sensitivities I did find the detergeant a bit strong. Clean yes, but I wish there was no strong smell

Man muss sich natürlich über die Zimmergröße im Klaren sein, aber ansonsten ist es ein wirklich günstiges und vor allem sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel.

During a recent business trip to Toronto, I decided to stay here. I had never stayed at a pod hotel before and the idea fascinated me. Overall, it was a good experience and if pod hotels are your thing, you will find a clean, friendly environment here. Th neighborhood is safe (the location is situated next to a criminal justice/court center) in a quieter part of downtown. The staff were constantly cleaning and keeping the place looking neat and tidy. It is also conveniently located within walking distance of some places to eat and the Metro Convention Center. While this experience taught me that pod hotels are probably not for me, I’d encourage you to give it a try if you never have before.

This place has a great location.

The breakfast was very correct, the personal was smiling and agréable. The only mid point was the bathroom: a bit dirty, the second shower half-working and the products to get washed proposed which was not adapted for showers (exfoliator and agressive making us allergic without knowing). Keep in mind that it is loud in there due to no doors BUT we expected it to be so. Everything else was great! The breakfast could be better for most people but we usually only have coffee for breakfast so it worked for us. The location is amazing and we will definitely back.

The Pod-Inn Hotel is definitely high value for its price point. The pods are fairly comfortable and i was suprised how well i slept in it. Temperature regulated, dark, cozy. Pods come with a secure spot in your pod for valuables with a key. The inn provides breakfast and a place fridge your own food. Breakfast is simple cereal, toast, tea and coffee. Location wise it doesnt get better if youre a foodie. Queen Street is 1 min away and has loads of places to eat with a real diverse range of cuisines. Highly recommend if youre down for a unique and different kind of stay experience with serious cost savings in comparisson to traditional hotels. The staff working there are super friendly, attentive and add real value to the experience. Big thanks to the lovely team at the Pod-Inn Hotel.

Jeg hadde et fint opphold. Liker konseptet. Frokosten var bra nok, men bildet fra hjemmesiden er misvisende. Temperaturen inne i kapselen var litt for høy for å sove komfortabelt. Savnet noe å henge/legge fra seg klærne på i dusjrommet. Selve dusjen var montert svært høyt, og spruta mer på veggen enn på meg. Den hang for høyt til at jeg klarte å justere den. Den andre dusjen fungerte ikke.
