Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lafayette South

Very nice hotel with a great location. My only issue was I called to make sure they had a hot tub. They do indeed have a hot tub but it's only that a tub with water in it. There are no jets I didn't think to specify does it have jets so it was very disappointing.

Friendly staff. Open pool. And jacuzzi worked. Excellent!

The location is great, right on the water! Nice to sit at the pool/hot tub and watch the boats go by. The front of the hotel is under construction, sometimes noisy but workers stop at 3pm. Rooms were spacious, clean, and look to be newly remodeled. Housekeepers always asked if we needed anything and were very friendly! Breakfast had a wide variety of options and was very organized! Overall great stay, would come back.

Everything was great. Comfortable and clean. Free breakfast was average. Gym was closed for renovations and that was an inconvenience. Jets on hot tub were not working but it was plenty hot enough so that was nice. Staff was extremely nice and accommodating.

We always enjoy our stay. Our king Suite with the double sofa bed was very cozy and spacious. The suite was clean, the bed was very comfy and the breakfast was good. It had a nice big shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash that smells great! The pool is big and clean. They also had a kiddy pool. It feels like home away from home.

I love that the pool and hot tub are accessible for people with disabilities (chair lifts).

Absolutely loved the hotel. Kids loved it as well. Huge shower in the room we had. Pool was a little low on water but still swimmable. Going to be looking into a rewards program if they offer one.

Everything about this property was okay. It was clean, quiet, the gym was clean. Didn't get breakfast but it smelled good. Overall the one night stay was okay.

The bathroom dirty when i arrirved...the elevator and the main area was not clean....the staff was not knowledgeable about extra 'charges' to my room when i didnt make these charges....not sure i would be staying here again!

I stayed here for 5 nights. While the hotel was clean as many note, my room had not been renovated. As such, there were stains on the furniture and carpeting, as well as marks on the walls and ceiling. The room had a separate bedroom which was great. One of the beds had a squeaky frame, so I slept on the other one. The toilet leaked and had to refill every 20 minutes, or so. The flushing mechanism was older and got hung up regularly if you didn't allow the reservoir to empty before releasing the handle. Small hairy bugs managed to find their way into the bathroom every other day which was a bit of a turn off. The AC worked fine, but was a bit noisy. The TV's were 32 inches, which is somewhat small by today's standards. The channel selection was limited. Some of the channels buffered frequently resulting in missed content. The breakfast was the typical scrambled eggs plus. The only fresh fruit offered were bananas. Traffic getting in and out of the parking lot was somewhat heavy. There were numerous restaurants close by. Lastly, my room adjoined with the one next door. The doors separating the rooms provided almost no soundproofing. Regrettably, this allowed me to hear the private conversations of my neighbors. As a result, I spent as much of my time as possible in the bedroom. I might stay here again just to see what the renovation accomplishes. All-in-all, I consider this property average.

Room appeared clean until I opened the sofa bed for my son and found hair in it. The tv apps worked in the bedroom but not the suite area. Front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast had variety.

Spacious rooms, modern furnishing

I have stayed here several times before but this is the first time that the air conditioning would not stay on where we set it. It kept going to a set temp. It’s was enough to make us consider not staying here any more

Nice spot right by the river. Plenty of dining options nearby. We were lucky to get one of their recently renovated rooms. Not sure what they were like before but this was plush, spotless and super comfortable. After the crazy rush we had been in this week being able to take a beat and rest comfortably was a huge treat. Would definitely recommend to others and will be back if in the area.

The best part was the view from our room to the Vermilion River!

We checked and we were told breakfast was from 6 AM – 9:30 AM. When we went down at 9:10 AM to get breakfast, the lady was putting everything away and said that breakfast ends at 9 AM. When I told her that when we checked in the front desk clerk told us 9:30 AM she said no read the sign. It says 9 AM. The TV is so small in the room. It looks like a computer monitor. Delighted mirror in my bathroom is broken does not work. The towel rack holding the towels is also broken. I would never stay here again.

If it had been warmer out I might have loved to use the pool area outside. I had been hoping it use the hot tub but the water was not very hot and it was too cold out for that to be enjoyable. We were able to walk to a couple restaurants during our stay. Note though that as of Feb 2024 the rest of the third floor where we were was actively being renovated so the hall and elevator area had plaster dust and construction equipment. This didn’t bother us as the rest of the hotel and our room were spotless, but some people may not like it.

Great Ambience n spacious rooms

Although the stay was nice, safe and clean, the mattress was the worst ever. It sunk in deeply in the center making for the MOST uncomfortable sleep we ever experienced in a hotel. That mattress should have been replaced a long time ago.

Facilities and staff were amazing. Comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. Staff were very nice and friendly.

Great location for seeing the town. Jassy, the very nice lady at the front desk was quick with answers to all my questions. She helped us find great local restaurants and entertainment. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed our visit very much.

They lady at the front when we checked in that night was extremely rude. She would not even acknowledge me when I walked in and was very put out that she had to help me. She actually threw the pen she had in her hand down when I told her I needed to check in. I chose to stay at this hotel because of the great experience we had at the same hotel in League City the previous weekend. I will not make that mistake again v

I have stayed there before and was happy to return. I find it safe and the service is excellent. Special appreciation to Alisha at the front pass upon my registration. She was patient and very committed to getting things set for me and my group After a problem with my booking agency. I was very impressed by her service and attitude.

Clean, close to campus

We stayed here for my daughter’s college orientation and it was convenient for getting to UL. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was nice and the beds were comfortable. I also loved the view of the river. I hate that we were not able to try out the pool, which was why I originally chose this hotel but the weather did not permit it on the day that we had available. Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

The staff was very professional and friendly. It is close to a variety of restaurants and has plenty of parking.

Great location

Tucked into the corner of a major highway and the lazy Vermillion river, this lil hotel offers a quiet refuge from the world. Fall asleep in clean, comfortable rooms, and then awaken to an impressive array of hot & cold breakfast goodies. This hotel offered a convenient rest before exploring the greater Lafayette area.

Thank you for using biodegradable plates at breakfast! Wish breakfast was past 9 on weekdays, though. Hotel was nice and clean. Glad to see recycling in rooms. Wish sink was separate from bathroom-there's even a space for it. Staff was friendly.

Great! Got there and had booked a double queen suite, but was given just a regular double queen room. Went downstairs to tell the front desk girl and she immediately gave us keys to the correct room. Very clean. Pool was nice, breakfast is great with lots of choices. Will definitely stay here again . Very quiet also.

Large room that was fairly clean and the price was very reasonable. Staff was not welcoming at all. Breakfast was not edible with the exception of the make your own waffles.

The property is conveniently located near ULL and is very clean. The staff is both courteous and friendly. The bed was comfortable and room temperature was easily adjusted. The breakfast was excellent with more options to choose from than usual. The only comment that is negative does not reflect poorly on the hotel was the emptying of garbage dumpsters near enough the hotel that it woke my wife and I up at 3:30 am. City sanitation had been notified of that issue before.
