The neighborhood is nice and the curb appeal of this place is beautiful. Then there was the room. Probably the most disappointing room I’ve ever experienced. It felt like a converted space over someone’s garage. Decor consisted of battered thrift store furniture, cheap ceiling light fixtures attached to the low ceiling, and a shade of institutional blue paint on the walls that could only have been chosen by a blind decorator or perhaps a government committee. A couple of homemade shelves attached to the walls, a sad “Home Depot clearance section” kitchenette in a corner, and all accessed by climbing a dank, creaky, narrow stairway. The bathroom sink drained slow, the bed was uncomfortable, and the windows have a panoramic view of the neighboring property’s dumpsters. If you’re a couple of frat boys looking for a place to crash after a Steelers game - and are willing to shell out $400 a night - this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere. All of that aside, the restaurant, Rocco’s, was very good. Nice decor, good cocktails, great servers and enjoyable food. I definitely recommend the restaurant. Just don’t spend the night.

Beautiful historic gem. Loved the property, bed mattress could use a little update, it was not very comfortable. Everything else was amazing. Would stay again!
