Taj Alibaug Resort & Spa, Maharashtra

Had a wonderful stay at Taj Resort, Alibaug. The property is serene and beautifully maintained, and the staff is extremely warm, courteous, and attentive, making the experience truly comfortable. The authentic Konkan cuisine was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

If you are looking for the ‘Taj’ experience, you will be disappointed. Dinner buffet at Aparanta is terrible (very low value for money) and the service is worse than the food. The staff at Aparanta is incapable of handling crowd and have no desire / motivation to help their customers (used all the wrong words when we showed our dissatisfaction). Other things to know - access road to this property is bad, you’ll be stuck for an hour to cover the last 20Kms. The lobby, rooms, overall property is ok, could be improved to get up to Taj standards.

Room cleanliness as well as Swimming pool cleanliness is lacking. Sun beds by the pool not enough and a struggle to get. Breakfast service was terrible and seriously ill managed due to a wedding preparation happening simultaneously. No proper alternate arrangements made for the rest of the guests. Breakfast was a complete chaos. Food is average, and Taj across India is serving average food for all meals. Rueben, from the bar Alive24, and Sukanya from the checkin desk were excellent and managed to distract us from the negatives.
