Very nice spot downtown. Clean, cute room. Nice big bathroom with a nice shower. Very nice selection for breakfast, snacks and drinks. Wonderful little coffeemaker in the room with local coffee provided. Walkable to downtown. Easy parking. I only wish our room had been a little bigger but we took what was available. Roof was nice, only wish we could have a clear view of the lake. Staff we encountered were courteous and kind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was centrally located to everything in downtown Marquette and the extra amenities were a big plus. We enjoyed nightly Gilded Hour on the rooftop deck, using the electric bikes to travel on the nearby bike trails and the morning pastry breakfast. The staff were kind and accommodating to all of our needs. If we visit Marquette in the future, we’ll definitely be staying again.

This, by far, tops any stay I have ever had in Marquette! As someone who comes here often to visit family, I have stayed in many hotels in the area and this one by far is the BEST! The attention to detail here is superb- I was called the day before where they asked me questions about my visit and from that, they personalized my visit! My friends and I were greeted at the door by our first names, given a girls wellness basket, warm chocolate chip cookies, and a bottle of wine! And let's not forget to mention the complimentary cocktail happy hour on the beautiful roof deck overooking Marqutte! Oh, and the breakfast is to die for- delicious local mini quiches, croissants, pastries and coffee, fruits, and yogurt parfaits! The room - especally the giant shower with the rainfall showerhead are modern, clean, attentive to detail, and quiet. We did not have time to use the complimentary ebikes, but they really weren't necessary because of the centralized location of the hotel. I honestly can't say enough good things about this hotel- if you ever need a spokesperson, I'm your gal! -Jenny O'Connor, Midland, MI

This was the best experience I’ve ever had staying in a hotel. The staff went above and beyond to prepare the room for our stay with two children for our wedding weekend. It’s as if they had anticipated our every need! The room and bathroom were luxurious, it’s in an extremely walkable location to all of Marquette’s downtown attractions, and the complementary breakfast and beverages were wonderful!

Rooms were really nice (especially the shower!) and the food/drink amenities were great as well. Location is perfect for exploring Marquette, as it’s right in the downtown area and just a couple blocks from the waterfront and Washington Street (the Main Street of downtown). Would absolutely stay there again!

My only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer! The property is gorgeous and the location is ideal for us. I had to reach out to the hotel on the day of check in. I sent an email to the property through Expedia and I explained our situation. Someone from the property looked into the problem and contacted me very shortly after I sent the email (it had to be less than 30 minutes)! We hadn’t received an email with check-in information (room number or access code), but that’s because we booked through Expedia. Expedia provided the hotel with the Expedia email address, not mine… and they made no attempt to forward the information to me. The staff member from the hotel was very friendly and helpful. She immediately provided the info I needed and had the check-in email sent to the correct email address. I really couldn’t be happier with our stay here!

This property was beautiful and the experience amazing. The room and amenities were the best we have experienced. The staff were friendly and responsive. Great coffee, snacks, beverages and cocktails on the beautiful deck, all made for a great stay.

This, by far, tops any stay I have ever had in Marquette! As someone who comes here often to visit family, I have stayed in many hotels in the area and this one by far is the BEST! The attention to detail here is superb- I was called the day before where they asked me questions about my visit and from that, they personalized my visit! My friends and I were greeted at the door by our first names, given a girls wellness basket, warm chocolate chip cookies, and a bottle of wine! And let's not forget to mention the complimentary cocktail happy hour on the beautiful roof deck overooking Marqutte! Oh, and the breakfast is to die for- delicious local mini quiches, croissants, pastries and coffee, fruits, and yogurt parfaits! The room - especally the giant shower with the rainfall showerhead are modern, clean, attentive to detail, and quiet. We did not have time to use the complimentary ebikes, but they really weren't necessary because of the centralized location of the hotel. Very nice spot downtown. Clean, cute room. Nice big bathroom with a nice shower. Very nice selection for breakfast, snacks and drinks. Wonderful little coffeemaker in the room with local coffee provided. Walkable to downtown. Easy parking. I only wish our room had been a little bigger but we took what was available. Roof was nice, only wish we could have a clear view of the lake. Staff we encountered were courteous and kind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was centrally located to everything in downtown Marquette and the extra amenities were a big plus. We enjoyed nightly Gilded Hour on the rooftop deck, using the electric bikes to travel on the nearby bike trails and the morning pastry breakfast. The staff were kind and accommodating to all of our needs. If we visit Marquette in the future, we’ll definitely be staying again.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had staying in a hotel. The staff went above and beyond to prepare the room for our stay with two children for our wedding weekend. It’s as if they had anticipated our every need! The room and bathroom were luxurious, it’s in an extremely walkable location to all of Marquette’s downtown attractions, and the complementary breakfast and beverages were wonderful!

Rooms were really nice (especially the shower!) and the food/drink amenities were great as well. Location is perfect for exploring Marquette, as it’s right in the downtown area and just a couple blocks from the waterfront and Washington Street (the Main Street of downtown). Would absolutely stay there again!

We had a wonderful stay at EXPLORE! The location was excellent, within walking distance to plenty of restaurants and sites and both the room and staff were outstanding. There quite a few special touches such as cookies to greet us and wonderful, tasty local coffee grounds for making coffee in the morning!!!

It's an old building that was recently renovated. Everything is new and attractive. The staff is very enthusiastic. The continental breakfast and snacks available during the day are outstanding.

WOW! This place is beautiful! A wonderfully restored building from 1880. The interior work and attention to detail is simply amazing. Our room, a King bed, was on the small side. Very European. The bathroom was impressive. One sink but plenty of counter space for 2 people. The rain shower was delightful. There is a 'pantry' with refrigerator, coffee machine and electric tea kettle. A large TV. Unfortunately, no local news. The fresh cookies on arrival were a nice treat. There is a 24 hour snack and beverage kiosk near the rear entrance. Soft drinks, chips, cookies, and trail mix to enjoy. In the morning this becomes the breakfast area. Coffee and tea. A very nice selection of pastries, scones, and egg pastries. To alter Jimmy Buffett's lyrics.. . 'it WON'T remind you of the fare at a Holiday Inn'. The location close to downtown is convenient. In the evening there are free cocktails on second floor deck. A seriously nice view of Marquette Harbor, the ore dock and some of the downtown landmarks. They have Lectric Ebikes available to use/rent. We found the keyless entry to the hotel and rooms a little hinkey. We kinda got it before we left. The only time there was any interaction with staff was in the morning. They were all very nice. I enjoy and frequently stay in boutique hotels. I have to say this is by far the nicest I have been lucky enough to spend several nights.

Great hotel to stay when taking son to Michigan Tech. Parking was an issue at first though was remedied right away. Appreciated Frank during happy hour. Gave some excellent advice on spots in the area.

Great choice for a stay in downtown Marquette. I’m not totally enamored with virtual hotels, but this one is changing my mind. It’s a lively place, and the reduced overhead translates to a larger and nicer room at a lower cost. The future is coming, this one pulls it off better than any other we’ve stayed in. Excellent location for a visit, and Shawnee the resident employee was friendly and helpful.
