I found this hôtel outstanding in every respect. My only regret is that I was there for only one night and was going out for dinner - because they clearly have a good restaurant and a good bar, and breakfast was very good. Next time - and there will be a next time - I shall dine there too.

Last minute booking and delighted with this place . Refurbished and opened a month ago. Two front of house staff exceptional , but run off their feet ! Food magnificent .. Dinner was delicious . Hotel clean , fresh and attractively decorated . Few more staff would have helped flow , but this is problem across the industry …

The staff were exceptional, they were very welcoming and attentive to details. The room was nice with a modern bathroom. A good hearty breakfast for a reasonable price. Only comment would be around the cleanliness of small points in the room like the mugs and tv remote. Otherwise a perfect stop !

Beautiful old building with wide open staircases and entrance hall. Our deluxe suite was warm and cosy and a nice place to be. Its set far enough back from the road that theres no noise. We had breakfast both days (breakfast roll and full Scottish) and both both were fantastic but the New Years Eve meal was by far the winner, couldnt fault any of it. Staff were friendly and accomodating even when I had to move our dinner reservation slightly at the last minute. The hotel is far enough away from big towns to benefit some lovely views and drives nearby and even has a waterfall and walks right out the back, but not too far from towns that you are isolated. The only thing I could possibly fault was the shower. The water pressure was so poor it was just a trickle that barely tinsedthe soap off you. Whilst the temperature of the water was eother stone cold freezing or out of the kettle boiling with nothing in between no matter how minir the adjustment to the dial was. Whilst the shower was disappointing we wouldnt hesitate to stay again as overall we had a wonderful trip away.

Pros and cons: Pros. The staff were lovely, rooms clean and the food pretty good. Cons. Rock hard pillows, none of us got a good night's sleep because of them. Appalling bad water pressure to the shower. And I'd just rubbed shampoo into my hair and it went from stone cold to very, very hot several times before it finally settled warm enough for long enough for me to wash the shampoo out. Because of these 2 things none of us want to go there again.

Staff are wonderful - very helpful and friendly. Room 3, as a deluxe double, was very dark and small, especially the distance between toilet and shower unit which would not make sitting down possible for anyone above average height! The dinner was excellent. Breakfast was good but 8.30 is a very late start. Disappointing that porridge with fruit involved a teaspoonful of defrosted fruit at the height of Scottish berry season.

The hotel was lovely, good customer service and the room was a great size and well decorated. The bed was super comfortable but we had problems with a poor shower that didn't work properly for the 2 days we were there. The location is good and a 5 minute walk into the village centee Food in the restaurant was good, but breakfast took too long even though there went many tables.

Had a great night stay in this old-looking building. The deco inside the building is very Scottish. The room came with 2 sparkling water and chocolate snack. One minus point is the clothes hanging place is small, there’s no cupboard. The location is 15min drive to Stirling Castle.

Recently renovated I'd guess, couldn't fault it. I would certainly go back again. One slight complaint, but seems to be common in the UK, not enough staff on duty, specially at breakfast time. One poor girl trying to manage the breakfast room and checkout area.

Had a great night stay in this old-looking building. The deco inside the building is very Scottish. The room came with 2 sparkling water and chocolate snack. One minus point is the clothes hanging place is small, there’s no cupboard. The location is 15min drive to Stirling Castle.

Really lovely place! The breakfast is à la carte with lots of amazingly good options, and there’s coffee and tea available all the time. The beds are super comfortable, everything is very clean, and it’s easy to access. The common areas are beautifully decorated and make the whole place feel cozy and welcoming. Parking available at the property and also Tesla charger for e-cars.

Nice property. The day of our checkout we had to leave the place quite early so we asked to get breakfast before 8.30AM. No chance. Breakfast opens at 8.30 and not one minute before. No exceptions.

Staff are wonderful - very helpful and friendly. Room 3, as a deluxe double, was very dark and small, especially the distance between toilet and shower unit which would not make sitting down possible for anyone above average height! The dinner was excellent. Breakfast was good but 8.30 is a very late start. Disappointing that porridge with fruit involved a teaspoonful of defrosted fruit at the height of Scottish berry season.

The hotel was lovely, good customer service and the room was a great size and well decorated. The bed was super comfortable but we had problems with a poor shower that didn't work properly for the 2 days we were there. The location is good and a 5 minute walk into the village centee Food in the restaurant was good, but breakfast took too long even though there went many tables.

Evening dinner was lovely and breakfast was amazing quality and value. Service always with a smile. Few small issues with room, main light was temperamental and room door was quite difficult to open. Didn’t spoil our stay at all. Bed was super comfortable

My friends and I stayed overnight during our Scottish road trip. As we all had sports cars, we wanted somewhere fairly close to the Duke's Pass and had (safe) parking for our cars – The Abbotsford did not disappoint. Whilst parking was a little tight as they seemed to have a full house, we still managed to get all three cars safely parked. The dinner and breakfast experience was both pleasant and delightful. Whilst we're not expecting 'fine dining' the quality was good and perfectly acceptable. My room was spacious, very comfortable, had a huge bathroom and a good night's sleep was had. The hotel staff were welcoming, friendly, accessible and helpful – so no complaints at all. Would I recommend? Yes, absolutely. If I was in the area again, I'd happily re-book.
