Parking was good. Is not secured 24 hours like the building says outside. And you have to take your own trash out otherwise its a $50 charge if you dont. The building needs to be cleaned better, like walls wiped down, floor mopped, elevator cleaned badly.

Not a place for short stays. Its extended stay. Guests who bring their household appliances like coffee makers, toasters, utensils, plates, pots, pans, food and drink, auxillary bathroom table/counter space, etc will be OK. OTHERWISE, You are out of luck.

This hotel was dirty and I felt unsafe in the parking lot. People walking around the lot staring. Slamming doors all night, ac hardly worked, and I couldn't sleep because of pot smell coming into my room. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

I went to this hotel and found the lobby shutter closed at 6PM, call the guy and he provided a room which was not ready, dirty, smelled every where. I decided not to stay as I did not feel safe and left the Hotel.

Our room was very clean. Beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. I loved that they did not have any carpeting in the room.

Room was very cleani, which is usually one of my first complaints so that was that was great refrigerator glass stove top hot water shower all great. My biggest thing was I couldn't get the heater to work at all and it was very cold..

Check in was OK...pretty standard. Rooms are AWFUL. Our first room was dirty: holes in dirty sheets, dirty bathroom, dirty kitchenette, had what appeared to be marijuana ash on the bathroom counter, smelled like smoke. They offered to change rooms for us. Second room was cleaner, still had a funky smell. This room had a busted leg on one of the beds, TV was broken, and the bathroom light was falling off the wall. After complaining the front desk attendant got snippy with me like it's my fault. At that point I said we're leaving. Was there about an hour and a half total. Stayed at an Econolodge about 2 miles away which was great. They told us they had 2 other families leave this hotel and check in that night as well. Probably great if you're a meth head truck driver (which there were quite a few there that night), but not if you have children expecting a decent clean room for a night.

I was only here for a very short stay, the staff is friendly enough, and I just got back from a Halloween wedding. I checked in late when I got here and I have to leave very early for a funeral. I walked in and there was a cockroach crawling over my dress for tomorrow. I'm going to check for bed bugs too, and make sure I don't have any more cockroaches in my bags so I don't bring anything home with me. The second floor kind of smells like weed too. So I would definitely give this place only a star. We also have to take our own trash with us, isn't that is what I pay them for? This place is kind of low class and grossed me out so I won't be staying here again. I also left early. I would go ahead and just spring for a better hotel and not stay here.

Was very disappointed from the minute we walked in it stunk like feces! Had to call to get checked in had to wait 8 minutes for someone to show up to unlock counter to get checked in at 7pm! They lady came down with her breast hanging out! Room was dirty bad smell stains on the wall! Beds sucked! Walls really thin my daughter and I could hear the neighbors getting it on! Also could hear there dog bark! Wouldn’t recommend unless it’s your last hope!

They were listed as pet friendly but charged a $100 pet fee plus $150 deposit. The room was very spartan. Only chairs were for a table that doubles as a desk. No luggage stand. This was not a place for a extended stay. If this was the only place to stay, i would sleep in my car.

I realize this is an extended stay but its pretty run down and furnishings are not very nice. Not even a comfortable chair to sit in. I stayed a month at this location about 10 years ago and it was much nicer back than.

I drove around the hotel 3 times trying to find the main entrance. The room was undecorated with no floor or table lighting. Don’t stay here for only 1 night and expect a typical hotel.

I tricked in just after midnight. The night staff was great got me a room quickly and I was very tired and ready for that. Unfortunately internet was down I could not check weather for my travels. My room was just over 60° I had to open windows to try to warm it up to be comfortable. The bed was just worn out, we're a person might sit to get out of bed the springs just collapsed right now to the frame. Trying to take a shower in the morning in the diverter was next to impossible to pull up, barely getting water out of the shower head. Hoping this room was just a glitch the staff seemed great and the property was very clean. If I wasn't in such a rush to continue I travel as I would have taken a little more time to talk to the staff, I believe they would have been very helpful.

Didn’t stay because I put in the date to stay but when I went to confirm the date got bumped up to the next night and so I went to change/cancel the reservation and they wouldn’t let me so had to pay for the night even though I didn’t even stay there! Will never book there again!! Not very accommodating!!

Never got to stay at the Woodspring Suites in Ankeny, IA, as booked through Expedia and no room was available when we arrived. The property is an undeveloped area and seemed a lil shady. The front desk clerk, Jacob, was very understanding and helpful. He assisted in our relocation effort with Expedia and we really appreciated his assistance and insight.

Never got to stay at the Woodspring Suites in Ankeny, IA, as booked through Expedia and no room was available when we arrived. The property is an undeveloped area and seemed a lil shady. I went to this hotel and found the lobby shutter closed at 6PM, call the guy and he provided a room which was not ready, dirty, smelled every where. I decided not to stay as I did not feel safe and left the Hotel.

I drove around the hotel 3 times trying to find the main entrance. The room was undecorated with no floor or table lighting. Don’t stay here for only 1 night and expect a typical hotel.

This hotel was dirty and I felt unsafe in the parking lot. People walking around the lot staring. Slamming doors all night, ac hardly worked, and I couldn't sleep because of pot smell coming into my room. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Never got to stay at the Woodspring Suites in Ankeny, IA, as booked through Expedia and no room was available when we arrived. The property is an undeveloped area and seemed a lil shady. The front desk clerk, Jacob, was very understanding and helpful. He assisted in our relocation effort with Expedia and we really appreciated his assistance and insight.

Door fell apart upon opening for the first time. Walls were paper-thin - so we woke up when anyone above, below, or beside us got up. No curtains to block the morning sun.

I like the quiet area, but didn’t expect not to have any pots for cooking my food. As a traveler last thing to pack was pots to cook and a coffee pot or water kettle to make coffee. Front desk receptionist mention is an extended hotel, Um I have stayed before on extended hotel that actually provide basic essentials. 1pot, 1coffee maker , sponge and soap to clean up. Providing this can potentially create more revenue. Compared to selling the pot set for $35.00. I understand some folks stay long term up to 5yrs, selling a set can be beneficial but NOT for travels staying 2nights, like cmon. We were in the area for graduation weekend.

The bed was tiny. They have a smoking floor, which is crazy! People live here. I did not realize it was an extended stay. I would not stay here again. It was also very expensive for what it was. I paid like $120.00 for the night but it was advertised at around $60.00. I will say Tim at check in was very nice and attentive.
