Beautifully decorated!! The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and the food in Kanu & Peak 47 are great! The beds are very uncomfortable/hard. Disappointed that the ice skating rink was not open, as the extras like this are what make it worthwhile to stay here. Also, the fireplace in our room had a broken switch and in order to use it, we had to remove a portion of the fireplace panel and use a button on the open wires- don’t feel very safe. Pretty place, charming- very expensive to not have everything working and or available as it should be.

Restaurant staff were rude. Pool didn’t work and sauna was down which was the reason we chose this location for ski trip and no discount was offered for the inconvenience.

5 Star experience from start to finish. Beautiful property with many dining options, indoor/outdoor pool, 3 movies per day in the quiet movie theatre, game room for kids, room were very well maintained and exceptionally quiet. We did not hear another person walk by during our 4 day stay. OUR Valet, Norton, met me at my vehicle and unloaded all of our bags and took great care of us during our stay. . Brought me vehicle to me within minutes of asking throughout whole stay. Highly recommend this property and will definitely return. GORGEOUS PROPERTY VERY CLEAN EXCEPTIONAL HOUSEKEEPING QUIET BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS CLEAN POOL AND HOT TUB EXCEPTIONALLY FRIENDLY STAFF - ALL STAFF GREAT BREAKFAST BY THE FIRE

Whiteface lodge is a great lodge on beautiful property. My room was huge… living room, dining area, and terrace. The staff / service is excellent. The amenities are great as well.. tennis, pickleball,spa, valets bring your car whenever needed and park it upon your return Great town 5 min away where we had lunch in a great little place on the water. Definitely recommend

Whiteface lodge was amazing to stay at! There was a lot to do in the property and we enjoyed our time there. The breakfast buffet was also good, along with nice touches for the movie time & popcorn, game room had a lot of games as well as outdoor game options. There’s a lot to do if you don’t leave the property for a short stay - especially the hot tub - so amazing!

Whiteface lodge was amazing to stay at! There was a lot to do in the property and we enjoyed our time there. The breakfast buffet was also good, along with nice touches for the movie time & popcorn, game room had a lot of games as well as outdoor game options. Our stay at the White Face Lodge as very relax. We found the staff to be very pleasant the rooms were clean grounds were an excellent condition. However, if you're a person that has a big appetite eating at the, Kanu you might want to order 2 dinners.

Understaffed Grounds unkept Bad experience at one of the restaurants. Other guests also complained about the restaurant. No chain locks or interior clasp locks. Security entered my room at 1:30 am. When questioned, he said that he had the wrong room. Next day the GM said that it was just a mistake and offered little explanation why a staff member would enter a room at 1:30am!

Recently stayed here with school-age children and had a wonderful time. Lots of small details that really made the stay special- warm popcorn for the in-house movies, free ice cream nightly, bonfires and smores nightly, in-house bowling alley, game room and truly well heated pools and hot tubs. The suite style rooms with kitchenette and fireplace make the stay feel like a home away from home. That said, the included breakfast, while generous, is a bit tasteless (husband didn’t eat there after the first day) so May not suit those with more discriminating palates. Also, I wonder how clean the rooms are as we found a pair of mens underwear behind a chair and a woman’s bra under the bed (ick). The curtain rod overhanging the balcony door was attached by a string and blocked the door access- easily could have fallen and hit someone. The washer dryer was also a bit underpowered. Water pressure In the bathroom was great tho. Overall would give about 4 stars due to amenities and convenience.

There was an unbeatable stench in the room. When complained, front desk said, sorry we don't have staff to look into it. I called in the house keeping person on my floor and she said she had noticed the same stink in the room the last several days... duh? So, if this was known to staff, why wasn't it fixed. Very disappointed. White Face lodge didn't even try to correct it or offer a courtesy discount. Extremely disappointed and would never recommend to anyone.

Also, I wonder how clean the rooms are as we found a pair of mens underwear behind a chair and a woman’s bra under the bed (ick). The curtain rod overhanging the balcony door was attached by a string and blocked the door access- easily could have fallen and hit someone. The washer dryer was also a bit underpowered. Water pressure In the bathroom was great tho. Overall would give about 4 stars due to amenities and convenience.

Whiteface lodge is a great lodge on beautiful property. My room was huge… living room, dining area, and terrace. The staff / service is excellent. The amenities are great as well.. tennis, pickleball,spa, valets bring your car whenever needed and park it upon your return Great town 5 min away where we had lunch in a great little place on the water. Definitely recommend

Whiteface Lodge blew us away with their comfort and hospitality. Our room was spacious and cozy all in one, not to mention heated floors in the washroom and a washer/dryer! The food at Peak47 and Kanu was high end and delicious and our bed was very comfortable. We met guests who have stayed at this lodge multiple times and keep coming back for more. This hotel is appropriate for all seasons and there are enough activities happening where you don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to. Will definitely go there again!

Wonderful stay! The kids loved the breakfast buffet (included), hot chocolate at the ice rink on site, the indoor/outdoor heated pool, and the lovely decor. Everyone was so nice and friendly! There was so much to do both at the lodge and within 20 minutes- Whiteface for skiing, Olympic sites, walks in the woods, etc. My only hotel improvement would be the lighting in the bathroom. The whole place has a really nice “lodge” feel, but the bathrooms are almost entirely dark. Especially when in the shower.

There was an unbeatable stench in the room. When complained, front desk said, sorry we don't have staff to look into it. I called in the house keeping person on my floor and she said she had noticed the same stink in the room the last several days... duh? So, if this was known to staff, why wasn't it fixed. Very disappointed. White Face lodge didn't even try to correct it or offer a courtesy discount. Extremely disappointed and would never recommend to anyone.

Our stay at the White Face Lodge as very relax. We found the staff to be very pleasant the rooms were clean grounds were an excellent condition. However, if you're a person that has a big appetite eating at the, Kanu you might want to order 2 dinners.

Beautifully decorated!! The breakfast buffet was phenomenal and the food in Kanu & Peak 47 are great! The beds are very uncomfortable/hard. Disappointed that the ice skating rink was not open, as the extras like this are what make it worthwhile to stay here. Also, the fireplace in our room had a broken switch and in order to use it, we had to remove a portion of the fireplace panel and use a button on the open wires- don’t feel very safe. Pretty place, charming- very expensive to not have everything working and or available as it should be.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The room was a 2 bedroom suite upgrade from our initial booking of a one bedroom. Full kitchen, balcony second floor master suite. Canoes, kayaks, boats, and pedel boats are complimentary (first come, first served). Breakfast buffet was excellent with a big variety to choose from. The main restarurant was very pricey so we did not eat there. We did eat at Peak 43 which is a bar/restaurant. The food was ok. I got a burger for $22, my wife got a mixed green salad with a salmon add on ( salad was $16 for a handful of lettuce and salmon add on was $16). My wife complainted to the waitress who agreed it was ridiculous and brought out some additional salad veggies to add too her salad. My daughter got a small bowl of pasta with a small chicken breast which was $31. So i would say go to town, restaurants there were much better food and pricing. The grounds were excellent and the arcade & bowling alley were fun.

We stayed at Whiteface Lodge for our last family trip of the year. We hadn't been back in 13 years and by chance ended up in the suite right above our old one. The One Bedroom Superior Suite was spotless and had a true Adirondack feel. Housekeeping actually mops the suite floors during turnarounds instead of just vacuuming. The walk-out porch had a great mountain view with the leaves just starting to turn. The 2nd floor coffee bar is open from 5 AM to 5 PM, which was ideal for grabbing a cup early, sitting on the chilly porch before breakfast, or walking the grounds while waiting for everyone to wake up. The underground tunnel connects the buildings so you don't have to step out in the cold. The movie theater has a cozy basement feel with a Bose Tube setup!, fresh popcorn, family movies at 10 AM, and older PG-13 films at 9 PM. The bowling alley, arcade, and pool tables are all right together. The indoor/outdoor pool and hot tubs are heated, though stepping outside takes a second to adjust if cold. We ate at Peak 47 lounge the first night to skip the Lake Placid parking hassle; the pizza was great, and having a full kitchen made leftovers easy for lunch. KANU offers an upscale prime rib buffet, but we passed because of picky eaters (kids). Parking note: valet uses a heated garage, while the free self-parking lot fills up quickly during weddings. In town, event parking gets tight, but there is free street parking along Mirror Lake Drive if you don't mind a short walk.
