First of all, this property was bought out and they don’t have any signage that shows the name Hawthorn or Wyndham- we came in late at night after a long day of traveling and literally drove in circles trying to find out hotel because the sign out front said a different hotel name. When I finally went in to ask where our hotel was- the girl at the front desk told us we were in the right place. When I mentioned the sign out front saying a different hotel and how they should do something about it, she just shrugged her shoulders and handed me my key. No apologies, no empathy- nothing. Very rude and has such a cavalier attitude. Zero customer service!

Overall a good stay, place was very clean everywhere I saw. Breakfast was a good selection of coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal, waffles, and hot food items like scrambled eggs, biscuits and a meat. Indoor pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance, I would have maybe used. First floor elevator button was broken-so couldn't call it down to the first floor, with a sign stating such and you could ask staff to go bring it down for you or you could use the stairs. Presumably hasn't been broken long and will get fixed soon. Inside the room was pretty quiet, could here some muffled noises from people passing in hallway. I got concerned when a high school sports team of some sort (not football) stayed overnight, but they were fairly respectful with their noise and inside the room in my bed i never heard them. Front desk ladies were friendly and helpful when needed for small things.

We choose this hotel cause it was outside of town and had a pool (which was shut down due to the health department) and quite. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our truck got broken into and found out that the hotel has lack of security cameras which concerned us a bit but outside of that it was a wonderful stay.

No signage on hotel. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub closed for renovation. We were not notified of that in advance. Mercantile area closed with no ice in machine. Bed was "squishy". AC unit in room froze up during the night making room smell of electrical fire.

When we arrived at our room, we could tell it wasn’t really cleaned. The floors were dirty so we could tell it wasn’t vacuumed. We didn’t trust that the linens were washed and replaced. The pillows smelled. The couch in the room was filthy. There was no hot water in the shower. Lots of visitors drinking and reeking of marijuana. Sketchy area. When we left, someone left a half full can of an energy drink on the hood of our car. Likely will not stay here again.

First morning we had absolutely no hot water. While the rooms were made up each day and fresh towels were left, the general cleanliness could have been better in the bathrooms, room carpeting and the carpeting in the hallway. Ice machine also looked a little soiled. Trash bins outside were overflowing. Lighting in room was awful…had to turn on the heat lamp in the bathroom to apply makeup. Overall, things could have been a lot better for what we paid.

Nice looking from the outside. Sketchy elevator, and stains in the carpeting that is a turn off. Also the bathroom was not as clean as anyone would like. Stains on fixtures like shower head, and in the sink.

Prepaid for room but upon arrival I was charged another $147.29. When I questioned them about it they refunded $a portion of the bill and showed me a copy of the credit back which was issued in a completely different name. There was no manager around to help. Fortunately, by the time I checked out the clerk was able to figure out how to reverse her error and refund the extra charge. The room was nice, however the window seal was insufficient as the wind created a loud howl in the room. I had to open the window about 3” which caused the drapes to whip from the wind. I asked for another room but was advised the rooms slll had the same issue. The internet was down and shortly thereafter the power went out. I booked because I depend on the internet and they advertised that it was included in the room. Overall, the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

Ok hotel. The beds were very uncomfortable and the air conditioner kept us up all night because it would switch on and off and was loud so it woke us up when it happened. The light outside was very bright and poured in through spaces around the curtains that just couldn't be maneuvered to block it out. Our room was supposed to sleep 6, but it's can only sleep 5. The pull out couch bed was atrocious and more uncomfortable than the beds and probably only a twin size bed, no way could we fit two kids on that bed unless they were toddlers. But even so, they slept on springs all night and had backaches the next day. The food was ok, pretty runny and bland. Not very impressed

I had stayed here the week before, so knew the rooms were a little shabby, but comfortable and a reasonable price, but my second stay had a lot of issues. The air conditioner didn't work, the shower was leaking a lot and noisy, there was a minimal amount of toilet paper and some men's clothing left in the closet. I only needed a few hours of sleep before heading on my way, so I didn't ask for anything to be remedied, but when I listed the problems when I checked out so they would be aware of the issues, the only response I received was, "Okay". I was expecting at least a "Sorry to hear that, but thank you for letting us know, we'll work on that" I have to make the same trip in two weeks, but will look for a different place to stay.

The room was big, there was plenty of room for my family of 5. We stayed one night on our way home from a road trip. All five of us needed to shower and there was no hot water. My parents stayed in the room next door to us and they also had no hot water.

All and all a good stay. Room was big and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. The gym is nice. However when I got there to check in since I am from the same town I had to pay 100.00 cash deposit not on my credit card but had to go get cash and had to leave to go find a atm to withdraw. They said it was hotel policy and I went back into the hotel details and it didn’t specify having to pay cash. Don’t quite understand this policy but I guess they have their reasons. I did get that cash deposit back when checking out. Also the indoor pool and hot tub were not in service which was why I picked this hotel was for the indoor pool and hot tub. I mean other then that I liked my stay.

Great stay! Room was great, very clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Walls were a little thin, on the first night, kid crying next door, but thankfully they were gone the next few nights.

The cleanliness and quality of the room was good. However, upon arrival the ac was off and it took several hours to cool off. We checked in at 10:00 pm and was ready to go to bed. Our family was very uncomfortable in a hot room until sometime in middle of night, when it finally cooled down.

The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The a/c was off when we arrived in our room a little after 9 pm and took hours to cool down. They don’t have a wall thermostat - just dials on the unit, so I can understand not wanting to have them on 24/7, but when it’s 100+ outside during the day, it takes a lot longer to cool down. It wasn’t just the room we were in - our group had 2 rooms and both had the same issue. Bathroom is a little cramped with more than 1 person getting ready at a time due to the placement of the toilet. Otherwise, the room was clean and spacious and the mattresses were good.

We have multiple charges on the card they can't explain. Other than wsit a couple days and call back. I also wish these properties would say when they won't have working hot tubs and pools. This is why Air BnBs get so much business.

The room was nice, however the window seal was insufficient as the wind created a loud howl in the room. I had to open the window about 3” which caused the drapes to whip from the wind. I asked for another room but was advised the rooms slll had the same issue. The internet was down and shortly thereafter the power went out. I booked because I depend on the internet and they advertised that it was included in the room. Overall, the worst place I’ve ever stayed.
Prepaid for room but upon arrival I was charged another $147.29. When I questioned them about it they refunded $a portion of the bill and showed me a copy of the credit back which was issued in a completely different name. There was no manager around to help. Fortunately, by the time I checked out the clerk was able to figure out how to reverse her error and refund the extra charge. First of all, this property was bought out and they don’t have any signage that shows the name Hawthorn or Wyndham- we came in late at night after a long day of traveling and literally drove in circles trying to find out hotel because the sign out front said a different hotel name. When I finally went in to ask where our hotel was- the girl at the front desk told us we were in the right place. When I mentioned the sign out front saying a different hotel and how they should do something about it, she just shrugged her shoulders and handed me my key. No apologies, no empathy- nothing. Very rude and has such a cavalier attitude. Zero customer service!

Management is grossly inadequate of front desk training procedures. Booking was made through app, which states credit card is used for reservation only, which I did. So we arrive at hotel, check in, explain to the girl I would rather pay cash for the room. No problem! She accepted $100 cash deposit, and explained balance would be due in check out, after room was inspected for damages from the cleaning staff. Awesome, sounds great! Upon checkout, the warm body at the service desk couldn't decide which story she wanted to stick. First we explained about the deposit, which was located in cash drawer, then she called cleaning staff for clearance for remainder of bill. Then, she told us the bill was already paid, from a card that's doesn't belong to anyone in our party. And that, their hotel doesn't process payments in the form of cash, it's strictly credit card. Um.... Then why did you call cleaning to verify room was clean for remaining balance? Isn't that what credit cards are for? Discrepancies and incidentals post check out? My supposition is, she saw credit card, then closed the ticket. And instead of just apologizing, or offering a solution to fix it, she compounded the issue by spinning a web of lies that she ensnared herself in. If it was accidental, no problem, we move on. If it was just "the new person" who checked us in, as she accused, I could accept that, if her actions while we checked out made any sense instead of being counterintuitive.

They are in the middle of a remodel and name change. It did not interfere with my stay but it should be noted. It was quiet and clean. Very close to the interstate. Easy to get to. Breakfast starts at 7. Friendly staff.

Breakfast place has just 5-6 tables, each 4 seaters, and they are so small that if 4 people put their plates on the table, then there isn’t much space for you to keep your soup bowls and juice/coffee glasses. Very congested. The breakfast area was so congested that if there are like 15-20 people having a breakfast (BF), then I bet that you would definitely had ran into other patrons for at least 4-5 times, forget about the wait times at the toaster or pan cakes… 15-20 minutes minimum. We had to wait like 25 mins to get a table, waiting for a table, just behind a seated family to finish their BF. I had to ask multiple times to refill the BF items like bread, scrambled egg, pan cake mix, plates and more. Finally I had to leave without having the pancakes, because they couldn’t able to refill the pancake mix dispenser. (BF time till 9:30 or 10 AM, but we went in at 8:25 AM)

Overall a good stay, place was very clean everywhere I saw. Breakfast was a good selection of coffee, juice, yogurt, cereal, waffles, and hot food items like scrambled eggs, biscuits and a meat. Indoor pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance, I would have maybe used. First floor elevator button was broken-so couldn't call it down to the first floor, with a sign stating such and you could ask staff to go bring it down for you or you could use the stairs. Presumably hasn't been broken long and will get fixed soon. Inside the room was pretty quiet, could here some muffled noises from people passing in hallway. I got concerned when a high school sports team of some sort (not football) stayed overnight, but they were fairly respectful with their noise and inside the room in my bed i never heard them. Front desk ladies were friendly and helpful when needed for small things.

Maintenance in our room was very poor. The bathroom vanity faucet was the worst. It was deteriorated to such an extent that part of it was actually missing. The hotel is under renovation and the parking lot has half a dozen containers scattered around making it feel less than inviting. Only half of the kitchen faucet worked but there wasn’t a kitchen (just a tiny microwave and two tiny refrigerators) so the little kitchen sink had no purpose anyway.
