Anchorage Inn Lakeport

The Anchorage Inn Lakeport has many amenities that I found useful during my stay, the pool, the washers/dryers on site. My stay was quiet, comfortable, and relaxing. The staff are kind.

Our stay was very nice. The staff were nice and showed us where we could fish at night. We walked about a block and there were options for dinner, which was convenient. The only thing that was difficult was the parking. It was very tight and we had park in an awkwardly small spot that made my car feel insecure and fat. It took a couple days of driving around the coast to get her confidence back up. If we stay here again were bringing our civic.

Property has potential in a great location, but the pool is closed by the County; garbage is not picked up, lots of litter, and no hot water to the bathroom.

Pool was not usable

Very run down, pool was closed with no access to the lawn area. Garbage was a mess. Almost had dirty sheets land on my head when the cleaning crew was tossing them off the second balcony. Good location for walking to town.

The room is okay. A little smell, little old, but clean enough. The fishing dock is a plus. We got our pb bass 6lb and some crappie there during the night.

The beds are gross, mold growing on ceiling in bathroom, smears of who knows what on the bathroom wall by toilet paper. Two stars because the pool was clean. Do not use the pool furniture either. Old, rickety and bottomed out

Run down. No lake access. Dirty. But people Seemed nice and bed was clean and comfortable.

The bed linens were really soft! The lighting was not great, the thermostat was fine and I slept cool. The coffee was terrible, but coffee is always terrible in hotels😂! The swimming pool and swimming area wasn’t open and it had been advertised so it should’ve been available. 👍

Older building, cracks, uneven surfaces, loose facet, noisy fan/ac, gap under doorway, dusty (chair, desk, dresser)... beds were clean, plenty of bedding, firm mattress and thick pillows. Location was good, right on main street just outside of downtown and right on the lake (didnt see access to the lake).

Although the room itself was dirty, the view was fabulous!

We found hair in a folded towel. And one men’s underwear inside the cabin…

Garbage in parking lot and under stairwells. Bathroom shower was not clean. Limited parking.

Old, dirty trashy motel! The room was so dirty with a broken window in bedroom. No smoke or CO detectors in the room. My feet were black from dirty floors!

NEVER STAY HERE. This property is not operating as a hotel - it is filthy with garbage on the grounds (parking lot, pool area, etc). It also felt unsafe. It seems to be being used as a transient/homeless camp. It should not be advertised as an option for visitors to Lakeport.

This site should be removed from hotel sites. The rooms were not clean we moved twice in one night and still we had to clean the rooms ourselves, just to be able to sleep. You could find better furniture in a bargain basement; we had to put our own throw blankets on the sofa sleeper, which didn't have a mattress in it. These people are so stingy and cheap, all they want is to make money. The lake view is beautiful but the hotel rotten and dirty. Oh, and they own the hotel next door, so be ware.

Very dirty. I wouldn’t stay there if my wife was as with me. And what I seen to discover on my last night was what appears to be animal urine on the wall and floor in the dark so called closet. Also fishing hooks the counter. Cleanliness was a 3 out of 10.

Dirty room sink was cough and loose broken tiles… also second day they just dropped off towels they didn’t do the bed or picked up

Limited interaction with staff, didn’t see the pool. The room smelled as though it were just cleaned, but there was a residue on the ground all around the furniture- I wiped it up with a towel which did not get all of it. I was only there for one night, so I decided to stay but if I had planned a longer trip I would have moved hotels.

Was stated as $102/night but on the final page it said $118. Didn’t really appreciate that. As far as the room, very barebones type of place. Either old or not the cleanest shower. Had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed cause it felt like my head was slanted lower than my feet if I slept the normal way. The room served its purpose but nothing to write home about.

Hotel needs to be updated. The heater didn't ever get warm.

Not a 5star property but the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, on the lake, nice view, walkable to dining options.

A bit outdated. Cable not working. Suites not wheelchair accessible. Only 2 towels for a 2 bedroom suite.

Its okay. Room didn't have clothes hangers, an iron, or blowdryer. Pretty much the bare essentials. I guess for the price it was worth it.

Was very impressed with the room and especially next to the lake. The staff was very awesome as well. Highly recommend if staying in town.

It was ok. Older style. We stayednin onenof the suites but it was not wheelchair accessible which was something that made our stay VERY difficult. Also, the cable in tv in living room didn't work.. not.good.since.we had children.

The room was ok but the bed was terrible . My husband and I slept in it and it sank in the middle. In need is a new mattress really bad.

Clean rooms. The second floor walkways have odd and radical sloping that does not appear to meet building code standards

Very old, needed updating, somewhat smelly, bathroom in terrible shape, slanted floor, but….bed was clean and comfortable, fresh linens, had frig and microwave in room, and a huge tv! Staff was wonderful!!!!

Extremely friendly and accommodating front desk. Very comfortable room. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here especially with its beautiful setting beside Clear Lake.

Upon arrival we were without water for the first few hours. We had to borrow their broom to clean the floors, and on the last day I was in the bathroom using the facilities and got drenched in water. There was a big leak from the room above us. We tried to wake the front desk. This was at 7AM. They never answered us banging on the door or calling their phone. I used all the towels to put on the bathroom floor and left a garbage can on the toilet to catch the water falling from above. As we had to get going we still could not get any ones attention, and this was at 8AM. Through out the week the staff was able to fix the things that did not work. This being the outlet use our things that needed to be plugged in, the cold water facet that was broken, the lights that all worked on one switch and not the switches they were suppose to work on. The fridge had a few issues as well. Beautiful people trying to work there, but they really need to get up or answer the phone when someone is trying to get a hold of them. They apologized the first few days and said I would be reimbursed for all the inconvenience we had, but of course they already had my money before we even came so I will be totally surprised if I see any of the money back on my visa card

Zero stars if I could! - Lake not swimmable/“beach” not playable - Police activity in parking lot - People loitering/smoking outside rooms (smelled like pot on occasion) - Slow to service front desk - Unmarked keys, nothing with room # provided - Unwilling to accommodate handicapped guest — had to check out early because of this and feeling unsafe - TV remote batteries missing - TV not working anyway (not calling man into my room into late evening to help single mama and her two kids, so no, I didn’t ask for it to get fixed) - WiFi password not shared at check in and not posted in rooms - Dirty microwave - Toilet paper holder missing (tp on back of toilet) - Toilet wobbly upon sitting (it’s about 1” off from where it’s supposed to sit on ground) - No bathtub, only small standup shower (window was left open upon check in) - Holes in bathroom door - Holes in wall where towel rack should be - No drain stop in sink - Only 2 pillows per bed, no extras - No extra blankets provided - Only two outlets near bed area - Beds surprisingly comfortable despite being very squeaky. Overall, didn’t feel safe with the people in the area (except the cleaning lady, she was nice). I am kicking myself for not reading the reviews before checking into this way overpriced hole. I reached out to the third party booking site to try and get me a refund for the second night we didn’t stay (we left before checkout) since I didn’t feel comfortable confronting them about the safety issues and not accommod

Very comfortable stay at the Anchorage Inn Lakeport. Very kind and friendly staff.

Check in and room, good. But being charged for another night when right before we checked out at was not proper and just tied up funds in my cc when it was totally unnecessary!

This place was discussting. The room had finger nail clippings and used bandage on the floor. Then the toilet would not flush at any time. Manager would not come and check it. Just left me a plunger and left. Great place for hookers , and field and construction workers. Thank god we brought our LYSOL!!!!!!

No fan in the bathroom. Shower faucet was confusing. Not enough pillows. When asked for more towels were told there weren't any. TV options SUCK. Overall bathroom was bad.

Staff was super friendly

I like it was walking distance to the lake, restaurants, parks, and main street.

Tough neighborhood

I liked that the property is 2 minutes walking to a major city park with lake view. It is a clean bed a warm bath and a parking spot.

they gave us a larger with kitchen 2 bd rooms and more expensive room than we paid for on the lower level when we asked for a room on lower instead of 2nd level,Nice restaurent across the street
