The hotel is new and clean, which is very important. The beds are comfortable. Checking in was annoying because we were given our room keys and were changing for a wedding when 2 people from the front knocked on my door and said they forgot to charge the credit card and needed to do right now. Then their handheld device wasn’t working and I had to follow them to a little room, all in the middle of trying to get on to a wedding. The breakfast scene was a disaster. No available tables and when a group did leave, no one to clean tables. No replenishing of flatware or glassware, and a ridiculous queue to get food because the space is too confined to enable self service breakfast. Lastly, while we were not there for the pool, the pool was remarkably small, which you might v expect in a big city, but not in Auburn.

We absolutely love this place! It is the perfect spot for anyone planning a trip to enjoy the snow. We stayed here with friends and their young children, and it proved to be very family-friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean, which was a big plus. One of our favorite features is the on-site restaurant. The food and cocktails were fantastic, allowing the parents to relax and enjoy their drinks while the kids had their dinner. Additionally, there’s a small store that offers snacks and drinks, which is very convenient. Although we didn't get a chance to use the heated pool, we saw plenty of people swimming. We will definitely stay here again!

The food was great, and I can't believe that breakfast was included in the price of the room! The service received during breakfast was the best! The room was clean, updated, and large enough for my family of 5 - we probably could have had up to 7 in that room. Even the pullout couch was comfortable for the kids to sleep on. My only complaint is having to pay for parking - what's the point? The hotel is not in a downtown/populated area where you have to worry about random people parking. There is also plenty of parking for the guests. I understand if there was more than 1 car and charging for the additional cars, but $20 per day for parking? It won't detract me from staying here again though.

Great hotel for business trips. Excellent environment in room and lobby for getting work done. Modern and comfortable decor and quality full breakfast. They do charge a $20 daily “amenity fee” which is not clearly advertised. Hotel price is very high for Auburn so this fee is inappropriate and nickel and dimming customers.

Very nicely room. Hot tub was amazing and actually hot! Beautiful pool area. There was live music which was very enjoyable. We ate dinner at the hotel. It was ok but not great. I ordered a falafel which was supposed to come with taziki sauce which they forgot. It took about 10 minutes to get some and then my food was cold. My husband ordered some appetizers. He said the skewers were good but didn’t care for the sliders. The fruit plate was amazing though. Breakfast was included. It was nice. Again really good fruit available as well as eggs, breads, yogurt, cold cereal and oatmeal. Apparently this hotel is a wedding destination. Lots of large groups who are rather noisy though that’s not the fault the hotel. Not sure I would go back there because of that. I understand people in large groups get noisy and are there for a celebration but I prefer a quiet place to stay. Staff was ok, sometimes hard to find. I think they might be understaffed. The noise is why I gave this place a 4 and not a 5.

Nice looking, good amenities, comfortable and spacious room, easy parking. We enjoyed the coffee bar and lounge area with complimentary beverages. Our only complaints are the swimming pool temperature and the hot tub being out of service which we were looking forward to using. The parking fee seemed hidden and unnecessary as there was plenty of parking seeming to just be a way to up charge the fees.

This property was wonderful! High quality for the price. My husband and I are very picky about hotels. There is not one negative comment we would make about this one. Really nice layout of common areas. Sparkling clean. Very friendly and efficient service. Comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast with many choices. All in all a great place to stay while visiting family in Auburn!

Entire hotel was spotless and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Accessible room with roll in shower was excellent. Only complaint wad the lack of soundproofing in the room; luckily loud conversation next door did not continue too late. Outdoors, the highway level noise was high.

The room was clean and comfortable. We have stayed here in the past. It was odd to only have 1 bottle of water for the 2 of us. We used the tea the first night, but, it was not replenished, when the room was cleaned and neither was the personal size lotion. The glasses were left untouched, and left in place next to the bed. Which meant to me, that we were expected to clean them ourselves. Service was not what we were used to, in our previous visits.

Great property and nice room, but I won't stay there again. The barn door style bathroom door is ridiculous and provides no privacy. Not sure what they were thinking when designing the property, but it's a no-go for me.

We got a mountain view room but the blinds were broken so we had to makeshift a way to keep them up. The beds werent very comfortable to sit on and watch tv. But overall very nice accomadations and clean.

Beds are terrible unless you prefer rock hard mattresses. By 3 in the morning, my wife and I debated driving the 3 hours home instead of trying to tough it out. Worst bed we've ever slept on. $20/day parking? Seriously? This is a hotel in Auburn California, not a resort in Hawaii. Counted over 50 empty parking stalls in the AM. I really dont get it.

Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast meal offered is well rounded, includes eggs, fruit, cereal, etc. many options. Room is very nice, bed and pillows are comfy. This is our 2nd time staying here. We go for an annual family reunion which is less than 10 minutes away. Very convenient. We had a very nice view of the hills also.

The hotel is nice, except the air conditioner, which is blowing at one spot and hard to control between too cold and too hot. For the price of the hotel it should be upgraded. The breakfast is not a buffet style, but weirdly served by someone behind the bar. It’s a long wait and make people take more food than they need.

Then their handheld device wasn’t working and I had to follow them to a little room, all in the middle of trying to get on to a wedding. The breakfast scene was a disaster. No available tables and when a group did leave, no one to clean tables. No replenishing of flatware or glassware, and a ridiculous queue to get food because the space is too confined to enable self service breakfast. Lastly, while we were not there for the pool, the pool was remarkably small, which you might v expect in a big city, but not in Auburn.

The stay was very pleasant. We didnt ask fir the room to be serviced because we were stocked with enough towels and bathroom necessities we needed. Every time we encountered a staff member, whether it was house keeping, bar, kitchen, concierge or other staff we were met with kindness and professionalism. Im already planning my next next stay. NOT a pet-friendly hotel. Be prepared for a lockout and interrogation if you have a service dog. We stayed here for three nights while visiting family. On the second night my wife and I got back to our room at 11:30, but our electronic key didn’t work. So, I left my wife and stuff at the door and went to the front desk. I told the lady there that the key isn’t working for some reason. She looks at the screen and says, “do you have a dog?” I said yes. “Well why didn’t you tell us? This is NOT a pet-friendly hotel” (which was repeated many times during the conversation). I said I’m not required to tell you if I have a service animal, but it stays with us at Marriotts all the time. She then starts questioning me asking what are my health issues related to this dogs service and quickly decides I have a pet that will be charged an additional $120 a night. I said I guess I will just dispute that charge with American Express. Then she says, “I’m getting the manager” and stomps off. She tells the manager I said I will dispute the charge. The manager said I have that right. So she said “then shall I unlock their room?” and I was allowed to go back into my room. End of story . . . I’ll just leave this right here for you to decide. The experience was so rude.

Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast meal offered is well rounded, includes eggs, fruit, cereal, etc. many options. Room is very nice, bed and pillows are comfy. This is our 2nd time staying here. We go for an annual family reunion which is less than 10 minutes away. Very convenient. We had a very nice view of the hills also.

Entire hotel was spotless and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Accessible room with roll in shower was excellent. Only complaint wad the lack of soundproofing in the room; luckily loud conversation next door did not continue too late. Outdoors, the highway level noise was high.

The food was great, and I can't believe that breakfast was included in the price of the room! The service received during breakfast was the best! The room was clean, updated, and large enough for my family of 5 - we probably could have had up to 7 in that room. Even the pullout couch was comfortable for the kids to sleep on. My only complaint is having to pay for parking - what's the point? The hotel is not in a downtown/populated area where you have to worry about random people parking. There is also plenty of parking for the guests. I understand if there was more than 1 car and charging for the additional cars, but $20 per day for parking? It won't detract me from staying here again though.

Very nicely room. Hot tub was amazing and actually hot! Beautiful pool area. There was live music which was very enjoyable. We ate dinner at the hotel. It was ok but not great. I ordered a falafel which was supposed to come with taziki sauce which they forgot. It took about 10 minutes to get some and then my food was cold. My husband ordered some appetizers. He said the skewers were good but didn’t care for the sliders. The fruit plate was amazing though. Breakfast was included. It was nice. Again really good fruit available as well as eggs, breads, yogurt, cold cereal and oatmeal. Apparently this hotel is a wedding destination. Lots of large groups who are rather noisy though that’s not the fault the hotel. Not sure I would go back there because of that. I understand people in large groups get noisy and are there for a celebration but I prefer a quiet place to stay. Staff was ok, sometimes hard to find. I think they might be understaffed. The noise is why I gave this place a 4 and not a 5.

The hotel is nice, except the air conditioner, which is blowing at one spot and hard to control between too cold and too hot. For the price of the hotel it should be upgraded. The breakfast is not a buffet style, but weirdly served by someone behind the bar. It’s a long wait and make people take more food than they need.

This hotel is a true hidden gem. The property was perfect for all our needs in a great location. It’s close to everything yet feels like it’s away from it all. The staff were nice and helpful. They charge you at the front desk at check in this “fee” which includes parking and amenities which are just like cucumber lemon water and these very small smoothies glasses by the front door. The fee turned out to be $120. I think for the price staying here wasn’t worth it. Although staff was kind.
