This house is cozy and cute! It was a perfect place to take our family for a week long getaway. We enjoyed coffee on the porch every morning with spectacular lake views. Although we had bad luck with fishing, we did see a fisherman pull a massive bass out of it, and we enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and paddle boating. There is a large town within 15 minutes for everything needed. Plenty of hiking nearby as well as a couple amazing waterfalls! We had minor issues that were addressed by the host immediately and with such care! We very much appreciate their hospitality throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you for having our family.

Stayed in early spring with my two teenagers. The cabin was the perfect size for everyone to have some private space of their own. We spent lots of time on the dock and the porches overlooking the lake - which was beautiful. The kitchen had everything you could ask for in terms of equipment and supplies. I didn't need it on this trip, but I always love having access to a washer/dryer. Being able to get a kayak out on the lake was also a lot of fun. Believe all the other reviewers who comment on the steepness of the driveway. As someone who is not super confident with mountain driving, that driveway was terrifying. We had a little car and just parked in the small space at the top of the drive. That worked very well for us.

Just what we needed…wish we would have had time to stay an extra day. The lake house was delightful. Adorably decorated inside and out and well appointed. Just very cozy and comfortable. The lake was just beautiful. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. While the amount of stairs you have to climb to get down to the lake and then back up to the house would not be for everyone, we our regular exercises and didn’t mind it.

The house and view is amazing. Total relaxation on the deck was great. My wife spent most of a day just sitting on pier looking at views. We understand your in the mountains so phone me be in and out. The internet didn’t work well so that may of been some of difficulty in communication. The one disappointment was that there is 2 kayaks to use but only 1 adult life jacket and 1 oar. Note to self: no one sells kayak oars within 50 miles 😁😁

Overall this place was beautiful and peaceful. There are a few things that should be made more clear and are pertinent to seniors. 3 levels with lots of stairs, with no railing. Lighting is very low in the cabin in all areas, makes it difficult to see to put in your contacts. The mattresses in the basement room are very thin and uncomfortable. We were finally comfortable with all three piled on top of each other. No restroom on the bottom level, meaning you must climb the stairs with no railing in the night. And that driveway! Yikes! All that being said, this home was clean and well equipped, and we lived on the deck out back. This was a very peaceful place and just what the crew needed in a getaway weekend! Thanks for everything!

My husband and I stayed for a romantic weekend getaway. It was very clean, has everything you need. Very comfortable, felt right at home. We loved sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake.The view was absolutely stunning. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for couples or a family. We did not have to leave to get anything, Doordash delivered. Highly recommend. We will stay again.

We enjoyed a last minute stay here and the property manager was quick to approve booking. The property was just as listed and very clean. It met all of our needs and more. Very peaceful lake setting on a quiet road.

Lots of fun things in this cabin, its cute and in a good location but the upstairs had a bit of a ladybug infestation and the tub had a giant spider fly out of one of the jets so that was a fun surprise. Other than that it was a fun stay and we enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved the log-style cabin with up-to-date amenities inside. Thoroughly enjoyed the solitude of the lake and the nature all around. The property manager was great with communicating through the app. The check-in process was very easy and the property was well-maintained. Just what we were looking for to get away and relax.

We absolutely loved everything about this place! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed and had a cozy, homey feel that made us feel instantly comfortable. Although the weather wasn’t on our side—it rained during our entire two-day stay—we still had a great time. We just wish we could’ve enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space a bit more. Hopefully next time!

It was a great getaway. They had everything you'd need to enjoy your stay. The only downside was the narrow road to the house and the steep driveway. I would still stay there again though. It was so peaceful and the beds were very comfortable.

We absolutely loved this cabin!! It's cute, quiet, and right on the lake. The drive way is steep, but it's doable. If you forgot something at home, they had spares readily available. I would change two things about this place. 1. I would move the master bedroom to the bottom floor. This would allow the room to stay cool and have your own private pourch. 2. I would put a full sized futton in place of the "twin" one down stairs. It definitely wasn't a twin size, but it fit my 10 year old perfect. We would definitely stay here again!

This was a great stay! Pictures do not do this place justice. It was clean and owners were welcoming and communicative. We enjoyed just hanging out at the lake and taking it all in. It’s quiet and peaceful. We downloaded the All Trail App and found great hikes at VanHook Falls and Laurel River Lake loop hike, both within 30 minutes of our location. We wanted to check out Gorge Underground , but found out too late about it and it was all booked when we tried to schedule. Our favorite place to hang out was the local bar, Pour Boyz. Food and atmosphere was on point. Our kids loved the Trivia Night, karaoke night, the corn hole and pool. The owners seemed so down to earth and remembered us when we came back. This area has plenty of hidden gems. We all agreed we would go back in a heartbeat.

This is a wonderful little corner of the world where my wife and I go to leave the world behind for the weekend. We go and hike Van Hook Falls (30 minutes away). We love it. The host was so accommodating when we had to reschedule due to a hurricane shutdown. We can’t wait to go back.

A very nice place and very clean. You may consider changing the listing from three bedrooms down to two as that was a bit confusing for us and we had many on the couch.

This house is cozy and cute! It was a perfect place to take our family for a week long getaway. We enjoyed coffee on the porch every morning with spectacular lake views. Although we had bad luck with fishing, we did see a fisherman pull a massive bass out of it, and we enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and paddle boating. There is a large town within 15 minutes for everything needed. Plenty of hiking nearby as well as a couple amazing waterfalls! We had minor issues that were addressed by the host immediately and with such care! We very much appreciate their hospitality throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again in the future! Thank you for having our family.

We enjoyed a last minute stay here and the property manager was quick to approve booking. The property was just as listed and very clean. It met all of our needs and more. Very peaceful lake setting on a quiet road.

This was a great stay! Pictures do not do this place justice. It was clean and owners were welcoming and communicative. We enjoyed just hanging out at the lake and taking it all in. It’s quiet and peaceful. We downloaded the All Trail App and found great hikes at VanHook Falls and Laurel River Lake loop hike, both within 30 minutes of our location. We wanted to check out Gorge Underground , but found out too late about it and it was all booked when we tried to schedule. Our favorite place to hang out was the local bar, Pour Boyz. Food and atmosphere was on point. Our kids loved the Trivia Night, karaoke night, the corn hole and pool. The owners seemed so down to earth and remembered us when we came back. This area has plenty of hidden gems. We all agreed we would go back in a heartbeat.

The house and view is amazing. Total relaxation on the deck was great. My wife spent most of a day just sitting on pier looking at views. We understand your in the mountains so phone me be in and out. The internet didn’t work well so that may of been some of difficulty in communication. The one disappointment was that there is 2 kayaks to use but only 1 adult life jacket and 1 oar. Note to self: no one sells kayak oars within 50 miles 😁😁

Absolutely loved the log-style cabin with up-to-date amenities inside. Thoroughly enjoyed the solitude of the lake and the nature all around. The property manager was great with communicating through the app. The check-in process was very easy and the property was well-maintained. Just what we were looking for to get away and relax.

The lake house was lovely. Beautiful views and property. Owners are easy to reach and reply fast. My 3 adult daughters and I came for our first getaway with just us… they’re 38, 23 & 20. We loved the lake and the hummingbirds!

This is a wonderful little corner of the world where my wife and I go to leave the world behind for the weekend. We go and hike Van Hook Falls (30 minutes away). We love it. The host was so accommodating when we had to reschedule due to a hurricane shutdown. We can’t wait to go back.

It was a great getaway. They had everything you'd need to enjoy your stay. The only downside was the narrow road to the house and the steep driveway. I would still stay there again though. It was so peaceful and the beds were very comfortable.

It was a wonderful get away for us. Just a short 30 minute drive gets you to the Van Hook Falls Trailhead. Make sure to use the spot at the top of the driveway if you have a car. The driveway is very steep ( best for 4 wheel drive vehicles, as noted on the listing). We look forward to going back.

This property exceeded our expectations. The location was clean, well equipped, secluded & quiet, yet only a short drive into town, if needed. The neighbors were welcoming and friendly. Lake views from house were stellar. Fishing and kayaking daily made for a healthy appand great sleep. Enjoy!

We absolutely loved everything about this place! The house was well-equipped with everything we needed and had a cozy, homey feel that made us feel instantly comfortable. Although the weather wasn’t on our side—it rained during our entire two-day stay—we still had a great time. We just wish we could’ve enjoyed the beautiful outdoor space a bit more. Hopefully next time!

My husband and I stayed for a romantic weekend getaway. It was very clean, has everything you need. Very comfortable, felt right at home. We loved sitting out on the deck overlooking the lake.The view was absolutely stunning. Very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for couples or a family. We did not have to leave to get anything, Doordash delivered. Highly recommend. We will stay again.

Stayed in early spring with my two teenagers. The cabin was the perfect size for everyone to have some private space of their own. We spent lots of time on the dock and the porches overlooking the lake - which was beautiful. The kitchen had everything you could ask for in terms of equipment and supplies. I didn't need it on this trip, but I always love having access to a washer/dryer. Being able to get a kayak out on the lake was also a lot of fun. Believe all the other reviewers who comment on the steepness of the driveway. As someone who is not super confident with mountain driving, that driveway was terrifying. We had a little car and just parked in the small space at the top of the drive. That worked very well for us.
