I've stayed at Riad Noor Charana a number of times over the years and always have a great time. The rooms are simple but beautifully decorated and breakfast on the roof terrace is a real treat. The riad is in a great location and easily walkable from the souls and Jemma el Fna and the same lovely staff have worked there for years. My only feedback is that the WiFi barely worked which made making online bookings for restaurants and other attractions difficult and we had to use the WiFi in cafes and museums. With a lot of tourist attractions now requiring online booking good WiFi is essential.

Good location, excellent freshly cooked breakfast on the terrace....(local breads, croissants, jams, eggs on some days) with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. Arranged a cab to collect us from the airport through them. No hassle! Our room on the ground floor was a bit compact - we were given an option on a higher floor, but the circular stairway was a bit off-putting... Abdul was amazing....he was always cleaning, sorting things out and always had a smile on his face! He went out of his way to help all the guests so as to make their hols perfect! WiFi was an issue on arrival, but was sorted out by the following day!

Le personnel est très accueillant et aux petits soins des clients. Excellents et copieux petit-déjeuner et couscous. Dommage que la WiFi ne soit pas disponible dans tout le riad.

Great value on Hotels.com and a bit concerned how it would be but fantastic location of this little Riad and excellent value for money. Wonderful staff and could never do enough for you and rooms very comfortable. We went in early January and it was a bit chilly at night and AC / Heater was a bit noisy and not that efficient. We couldn't use the wifi in the room but could in the courtyard. All in all a great find and would definitely return.

Driving in Medina is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Abdul checked us in and was absolutely wonderful in directing us to a nearby car park to leave our car during our stay. He was really friendly throughout our stay. Thank you, Abdul!! The place was very clean and considering it was in the heart of Medina, it was actually very quiet. Aircon rooms were fantastic. Breakfast each morning was fabulous. We would definitely stay her again.

A very classy riad-styled hotel with an extremely helpful staff. Little details that we appreciate were good, like proper water pressure in the shower. The shower drain was really slow and made a pool in the shower, but that’s probably a local plumbing issue. The only big minus was the bed, which was really hard and had a big dip in the middle that you kept rolling into during the night. A change of mattress for the bed and this would be a 5/5 experience.

Location - inside the medina, close to main square and numerous shopping and eating options. Limited vehicle access nearby, probably need to walk with bags for a few minutes to access. Can be tricky to find.... like everything in the medina! Service - excellent, limited English spoken, but owner addressed all our needs Accommodation - small but comfortable room, nice courtyard for sitting, rooftop sitting area for breakfast, or anytime. Eating - breakfast supplied, dinner is an option but expensive compared to nearby choices. Great coffee stall next door. Wi-fi - available in courtyard, but mostly poor. Non existent in room. Summary - recommended for a traditional Moroccan experience in the centre of the medina.

Very nice and peaceful riad, we had a lovely vegetarian couscous dinner on one night and staff were always very helpful, even taking us to our taxi back to the airport. Rooftop terrace was a very cosy place to relax and read.

Really lovely Riad. Clean, comfortable and close to main square with lots of shopping. Also easy to get to main attractions, most within walking distance or short taxi ride. The owner, Abdul, was very welcoming and helpful and so was his wife. I felt really at home there. Reasonably priced, would highly recommend! Oh, and basic breakfast included served on fabulous roof terrace!

The riad brings you peace and relaxation as soon as you walk into it. The room is well decorated with all amenities you need during your travel. The chef cooks excellent breakfast, and it is well served on daily until 11 am. The staff are super thoughtful and helpful to answer your questions. The best highlights of Marrakech!

Très beau riad dans la medina à 10 mn à pied de la place Jemaa El Fna et proche de tous commerces. Accueil formidable de Rhadia et Abdou, qui sont d'une extrême gentillesse et très à l'écoute du client. Pdj copieux et diversifié chaque jour servi en terrasse. Le riad est très bien entretenu au niveau propreté. Il y a une formule à 150 dh (14 €env) avec un succulent couscous bien garni et servi abondamment, dessert, eau et thé avec petits gâteaux. On a déjà envie d'y revenir avant d'être parti.

Sehr schönes ruhiges Riad. Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Betreiber. Sehr gute Lage, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und der Souk fussläufig,leckeres Frühstück auf der Dachterasse. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder kommen.

Tivemos uma experiência linda em nossa hospedagem no Riad Noor Charana. Em todo momento, fomos muito bem recepcionados por Abdul que nos deu atenção em todos os momentos e nos explicou sobre a cidade. Em um dos dias, precisamos tomar café da manhã bem cedo e ele preparou para nós, além de nos ajudar com informações sobre o deslocamento e onde passear na cidade. O Riad é muito agradável, cheiroso, limpo, seguro e silencioso, um templo incrível em Marrakech. Fica bem próximo da praça principal mas também é perto para andar a pé por toda a Medina. Recomendo muito

It was difficult finding the hotel in the beginning but we got help from two wonderful couples who were kind enough to help us find the hotel. The hotel was beautiful, our room was perfect and the air conditioner was working brilliantly. Abdul was very helpful and patient. Radiya's breakfast was always delicious, kept our room tidy and the whole hotel too. The location was very close to the market, if want to pray there's a masjid very close to the hotel. But overall I and my friend had a great time and a very pleasant stay at riad noor charana hotel.

Driving in Medina is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Abdul checked us in and was absolutely wonderful in directing us to a nearby car park to leave our car during our stay. He was really friendly throughout our stay. Thank you, Abdul!! The place was very clean and considering it was in the heart of Medina, it was actually very quiet. Aircon rooms were fantastic. Breakfast each morning was fabulous. We would definitely stay her again.

A very classy riad-styled hotel with an extremely helpful staff. Little details that we appreciate were good, like proper water pressure in the shower. The shower drain was really slow and made a pool in the shower, but that’s probably a local plumbing issue. The only big minus was the bed, which was really hard and had a big dip in the middle that you kept rolling into during the night. A change of mattress for the bed and this would be a 5/5 experience.

Abdul did everything to make our stay comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. He is a real gem! This is a typical Riad, close to local shops and restaurants. The location is right in a typical Moroccan neighborhood, with lots of local culture. Great choice if you don't mind climbing stairs to your room, which is standard for all Riads.

Good location, excellent freshly cooked breakfast on the terrace....(local breads, croissants, jams, eggs on some days) with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. Arranged a cab to collect us from the airport through them. No hassle! Our room on the ground floor was a bit compact - we were given an option on a higher floor, but the circular stairway was a bit off-putting... Abdul was amazing....he was always cleaning, sorting things out and always had a smile on his face! He went out of his way to help all the guests so as to make their hols perfect! WiFi was an issue on arrival, but was sorted out by the following day!

I spent the first fifteen minutes after I arrived trying to convince them that I had paid online. The guy at the Riad expected me to pay again in cash and unfortunately his English was not very good. I ended up having to send receipt screenshots to someone on WhatsApp. I didn’t actually stay at Riad Noor Charana even though that’s what I booked. I was put over in Riad Malfa. It was late and I didn’t feel like arguing with them. My room at riad malfa was damp and smelled of mildew. I was happy it was just for one night.

Les personnels a été merveilleux dès le début. Pour une famille visitant le Maroc pour la première fois, le Riad a été un séjour magnifique et confortable. Very nice and peaceful riad, we had a lovely vegetarian couscous dinner on one night and staff were always very helpful, even taking us to our taxi back to the airport. Rooftop terrace was a very cosy place to relax and read.

Really lovely Riad. Clean, comfortable and close to main square with lots of shopping. Also easy to get to main attractions, most within walking distance or short taxi ride. The owner, Abdul, was very welcoming and helpful and so was his wife. I felt really at home there. Reasonably priced, would highly recommend! Oh, and basic breakfast included served on fabulous roof terrace!

It was difficult finding the hotel in the beginning but we got help from two wonderful couples who were kind enough to help us find the hotel. The hotel was beautiful, our room was perfect and the air conditioner was working brilliantly. Abdul was very helpful and patient. Radiya's breakfast was always delicious, kept our room tidy and the whole hotel too. The location was very close to the market, if want to pray there's a masjid very close to the hotel. But overall I and my friend had a great time and a very pleasant stay at riad noor charana hotel.

I enjoyed my stay here. Abdul was lovely and welcoming. Although the place was very basic it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice. It was quite hard to find the Riad to begin with. But once you get your bearings it’s close and easy to get to the main square and the souks. As a solo female traveller I felt safe in the area even though it felt quite chaotic when I first got there. No one bothered me and the locals/vendors were very friendly. I can recommend this Riad it was good value for money.

bei unserer Ankunft waren wir zunächst etwas erschrocken über die geringe Größe des Zimmers zumal es keine Schränke gab. wir konnten uns aber im Nachhinein damit gut einrichten, zumal im recht großen Bad Ablage Möglichkeiten bestanden. allerdings muss man wissen dass jedes Zimmer anders ist. das Bad ist normal eingerichtet und mit dem heißen Wasser gab es bei uns überhaupt keine Probleme. die Klimaanlage arbeitete angenehm leise, so dass man sie auf geringer Stufe auch über Nacht laufen lassen konnte. das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war jeden Morgen sehr schön, auch wenn es relativ wenig Abwechslung gab. der Kaffee war für arabische Verhältnisse sehr gut und die angebotenen Marmeladen auch. zu den angebotenen Wellness und Massagebehandlungen können wir nichts sagen, diese haben wir im Riad nicht angenommen. gut gefallen haben uns auch die relativ kurzen Wege zu dem Hauptplatz, das sind nur ca 8 Minuten. in der Nähe befinden sich auch einige kleine marokkanische Bistros, die kann man gerne einmal probieren, solange man keine Berührungsängste hat.
bei unserer Ankunft waren wir zunächst etwas erschrocken über die geringe Größe des Zimmers zumal es keine Schränke gab. wir konnten uns aber im Nachhinein damit gut einrichten, zumal im recht großen Bad Ablage Möglichkeiten bestanden. allerdings muss man wissen dass jedes Zimmer anders ist. das Bad ist normal eingerichtet und mit dem heißen Wasser gab es bei uns überhaupt keine Probleme. die Klimaanlage arbeitete angenehm leise, so dass man sie auf geringer Stufe auch über Nacht laufen lassen konnte. das Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse war jeden Morgen sehr schön, auch wenn es relativ wenig Abwechslung gab. der Kaffee war für arabische Verhältnisse sehr gut und die angebotenen Marmeladen auch. zu den angebotenen Wellness und Massagebehandlungen können wir nichts sagen, diese haben wir im Riad nicht angenommen. gut gefallen haben uns auch die relativ kurzen Wege zu dem Hauptplatz, das sind nur ca 8 Minuten. in der Nähe befinden sich auch einige kleine marokkanische Bistros, die kann man gerne einmal probieren, solange man keine Berührungsängste hat.

Good location, excellent freshly cooked breakfast on the terrace....(local breads, croissants, jams, eggs on some days) with fresh orange juice, tea and coffee. Arranged a cab to collect us from the airport through them. No hassle! Our room on the ground floor was a bit compact - we were given an option on a higher floor, but the circular stairway was a bit off-putting... Abdul was amazing....he was always cleaning, sorting things out and always had a smile on his face! He went out of his way to help all the guests so as to make their hols perfect! WiFi was an issue on arrival, but was sorted out by the following day!

I enjoyed my stay here. Abdul was lovely and welcoming. Although the place was very basic it was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nice. It was quite hard to find the Riad to begin with. But once you get your bearings it’s close and easy to get to the main square and the souks. As a solo female traveller I felt safe in the area even though it felt quite chaotic when I first got there. No one bothered me and the locals/vendors were very friendly. I can recommend this Riad it was good value for money.

Très beau riad dans la medina à 10 mn à pied de la place Jemaa El Fna et proche de tous commerces. Accueil formidable de Rhadia et Abdou, qui sont d'une extrême gentillesse et très à l'écoute du client. Pdj copieux et diversifié chaque jour servi en terrasse. Le riad est très bien entretenu au niveau propreté. Il y a une formule à 150 dh (14 €env) avec un succulent couscous bien garni et servi abondamment, dessert, eau et thé avec petits gâteaux. On a déjà envie d'y revenir avant d'être parti.

Location - inside the medina, close to main square and numerous shopping and eating options. Limited vehicle access nearby, probably need to walk with bags for a few minutes to access. Can be tricky to find.... like everything in the medina! We stayed two nights here. It was easy to get to everything we wanted to do - including a short walk to Jemaa el fna, The bed was comfortable, shower was nice, it had everything we needed. Breakfast was on the rooftop where you were surrounded by beautiful plants. The owner was so incredibly helpful in arranging a taxi to the grocery store, Jardin Majorelle, and the airport, and in general, went the extra mile to make us feel welcome.

I spent the first fifteen minutes after I arrived trying to convince them that I had paid online. The guy at the Riad expected me to pay again in cash and unfortunately his English was not very good. I ended up having to send receipt screenshots to someone on WhatsApp. I didn’t actually stay at Riad Noor Charana even though that’s what I booked. I was put over in Riad Malfa. It was late and I didn’t feel like arguing with them. My room at riad malfa was damp and smelled of mildew. I was happy it was just for one night.
