This felt more like a motel in a very bad neighborhood. We were greeted by a guy smoking meth less than 20 feet from the lobby, a neighborhood cat that the staff feeds, and a homeless guy in the dumpster throwing recycling out into the parking lot! We usually love Howard Johnson brand, this location turned us off the brand entirely. Breakfast was bananas, apples, toast and waffles. The room made me want to sleep in my car with dirt spots on the sheets and the headboard was shedding vinyl pieces because it was shredded from being so old and dry rotten. The shower had grey stains in the bottom and there was a long hair on the toilet seat. Why did we even stay the night and not go elsewhere?! Great question! If you really want to know: we arrived at 11:00 pm after having loaded a uhaul at 8a to noon, driving 4.5 hours, unloading a UhAul with every single piece of furniture going up 30 steps. We were traveling as a group that was helping our niece with mental problems after just burying both parents that just passed way and we were all exhausted, cranky, and no longer felt like dealing with the hassle of going somewhere else.

I'm not sure where to start because I'm not one to leave negative feedback. When you first check in it looks sketchy but you give them the benefit of the doubt. Let me make sure I can clear that the people I dealt with were very kind. Very nice. That's why they get the second start. Outside of that I would not put any of my loved ones there. Outside my window they allowed a group of eight or nine Hooligans sorry to use that word party until 2:00 in the morning I wanted to call and ask for help but the phone didn't work. Been starting at 6:30 in the morning these kids were running through the Halls jumping up and down on the floor above me and to make things worse I was here on an emergency ride I fly because I have a friend who's dying. When I went to ask the staff for help they said well since you bought this through a third party there's really nothing we can do. So as I was monitoring My Level upset of upset I said okay I'm not going to hover you over this if you can I need you to do something about it. I never heard back. I didn't want to leave a review until it was clear they were not going to get back to me. Stains on the carpet didn't help. I'm sorry to leave such a review but I'm a very prolific reviewer online. 90% of my reviews are positive

Hotel is very old. Everything is pretty rundown. no elevator in the hotel. The front desk pressing was very nice and helpful and the bed was comfortable, but we would not probably stay there again because of how old and rundown it was.

No water in workout room asked twice to change empty water bottle. Bkft room was never stocked and our room floor was wet they did change rooms with us.
