Solmar Resort Optional All Inclusive

I've been visiting the original Solmar since the 70's. It definitely feels like a budget property next to Grand Solmar. Would be nice to see the rooms updated/freshened...same tile work since the 80's-90's. Also update/upgrade dining/menus in the primary restaurant adjoining the pool. The A/C worked great, however, whenever I had it on while sleeping, I woke up with scratchy throat and runny nose. Makes me wonder when the vents were last cleaned. I had friends stayinging in the Grand Solmar so was able to join them for dinner. The restaurants are stunning, but food I had two nights was just OK. Nothing I'd reorder, and disappointed in the seafood...surprising considering the location. Best things I had there were breakfast burrito in the Deli and chicken and cheese quesadilla by the pool. That being said, the Solmar is in one of the best locations in all of Mexico. Glad it hasn't been ruined by all the neighboring growth over the years.

Good experience for a two day stay.

My family really enjoyed our stay at Solmar Resort and we look forward to returning! The ocean view was beautiful, the resort was immaculately clean and the staff were all very friendly and attentive! We loved the location and freedom of not doing the all-inclusive option so we could also try restaurants near the marina.
