Super 8 by Wyndham St. Cloud

No elevator had a room on the second floor. Carpet was old and missing spots in hallway. Tub didn’t look clean. Not sure because it didn’t use it. The lady who heckled us in was great very friendly. I personally wouldn’t stay there again.

Dead Bolt would not connect with the catch, the carpet was in shreds and it was stained, the ice machine was broken, the window was cracked and it had a metal strip holding it in and there were spider webs hanging from the ceiling, also, the plumbing sounded like it was going to come through the wall as I took a shower. Disgusting and filthy piece of property.

Very dirty, not very well taken care of. Our towels looked dirty and had major dirt stains on them. The carpet in the hall way is all torn up and has lots of holes. The carpet in the rooms feel damp and sticky. I was looking in the drawers and the front of one of them fell off. Definitely not worth the $280 for 2 nights. The breakfast was toast, waffles, and two cereal options and the ice machine didn’t work. Also we chose the pay at location option and the hotel kept calling asking for payment because they were sold out, even though it’s their policy to have the option to pay there. We did not feel comfortable with all the scams to pay over the phone. They also advertised $10/pet per night on Expedia and they wanted to charge $17/pet per night there.

There was no elevator. The beds were terrible It was not a clean room or bathroom Shame on Wyndam!!

Needs updating and a thorough deep cleaning. Bath faucet old and rusted, no stoper in sink. Did not even try the shower because of its appearance. No extra blanket in room, no regular coffee in room, ice machine broken, couldn't wait to leave.

No elevator. Check in was fine. Room was clean and adequate. Whole building in need up renovation and updating. Breakfast was ok. Bathroom needed work. You get what you pay for. Cost was low. I only needed room to sleep in was didn’t expect much and that was ok.

Only complaint was the ice machine was down all weekend. I drink mostly water so having no ice machine really sucked

the property needs upgrading

The first room had stained (not washed) top and bottom sheets. Torn and bare spots on carpet. I protested and was moved. 2nd room. Very humid, smelly like they had water leakage somewhere. Stained and torn carpet.

Very dirty in room. Blood and dirt on the wall. Mold on bathroom walls.

Bathroom did not seem very clean. Basin of tub was dirty.

Do not stay here. Our first room stunk so bad it was disgusting. They gave us a new room and it seemed fine until the next morning we found a meth pipe hanging on a hook behind the bathroom door. This place is disgusting. I cant believe super 8 put their name on this hotel.

Poor check in experience, dirty carpets,hair in bathroom. Definitely won't go back.

Property from outside is well maintained. But rooms are not. Pur room carpet was dirty and sticky and had wierd smell to it. Not happy.

The area around the property seemed ok at first, but when I went into the hotel to check in, my husband noticed two men going around to all of the cars in the back part of the parking lot and attempting to get in to any unlocked cars. When I walked into the hotel, I was very disappointed with the uncleanliness and lack of maintenance. The windows and glass doors leading to the check in counter were dirty, the floors were dirty, and the entire entry area had a foul smell. The clerk at the front desk checked me in quickly and was fairly pleasant. The trip up to our third floor room was depressing and a little scary. The carpeting in the halls was dirty and had big rips and areas where it looked like sections of the carpet had been cut out in a haphazard manner. Most of the baseboards at the bottom of the walls were missing, but the original adhesive remained. No attempt to mitigate the damage here by removing the adhesive and repainting, or preferably by replacing the many missing floorboards. The hallways, especially the hallway where our room was located reeked of pot/weed, and it was so strong that the smell permeated our room after we opened the door…or, perhaps it had already smelled like that before we opened the door. The room itself appeared basically clean, but the furniture was very dated, the upholstered chair was dirty and worn (enough so that I would never have sat in it), and the carpeting was very old, worn, and dirty. Baseboards were also missing in our room.

The front desk staff was phenomenal - very friendly and helpful! Housekeeping didn't understand that we did not want housekeeping and wouldn't stop knocking - perhaps some more basic English phrases could be shared with them?- They also spoke very loudly in the hallways.The parking lot was filthy. Most everything needs to be replaced, or maintained. The bathroom was quite dirty and it was QUITE visibly apparent that it was not cleaned AT ALL.

This was the worst stay ever... The condition of the place was run down and considerable looking from the check-in counter to the back entrance that led to our room. Old mattresses stacked by dumpster. Missing chunks of carpet on the stairs leading up to our room. Then room wasn't very nice and not cleaned well... Bathroom floor crumbling, bathmat looked moldy, hair in shower, fridge had spills and hair stuck in it, microwave unclean, blanket had boogers on it. Then when I asked for some extra towels was told they didn't have any to give me because they were low, HVAC unit ripped from Wall laying in middle of room and chair laying in hallway all broken I happened to see the day of check out as housekeeping was cleaning rooms. This was what I feel was completely unacceptable conditions for renting hotel rooms and being a Head housekeeper and house keeper my self I would be embarrassed to even have allowed this to occur especially with the rates they are charging per night. They're called a super 8 but should be called "Go to another place".

Broken beds, broken toilet, broken sink. Very poorly maintained. The beds were tilted, the sink sprayed water everywhere. The toilet ran and the seat slid. The fridge was tiny, not the average size for a hotel. The walls were so thin, someone talking in the hallway wakes you up. It’s like they are in your room. Thinnest blankets. Just a bad hotel.

Oh my goodness this place was horrible...the first room I was put in to smelled rancid like a dead animal or a meat that has gone bad...it was so bad, even thought it was 11 pm at night I asked to change rooms which the night clears was indeed nice about but when she took me to the 2nd room, it was still bad smelling but a little better than the first room and cuz it was so late, I just took it as it was too late to switch hotels.

Noisy room, we can even hear the people next door. Conditions of the bathtub were questionable...slippery.

Building is pretty run down, needs updating and beds were hard.

The shower hot water faucet could not be tightened so it dripped all night and made the room muggy. The walls are really thin so we could hear a dog barking at all hours. In addition a lawn mower started mowing outside our window at 6:45a so no way to sleep in. The breakfast was all carbs, regular white bead and waffle fix that came out of a spout, no eggs etc. we made our own coffee bc no real option in the room except a tiny pot and coffee.

Room was unpleasant with a doublen bed and absolutely hrrble mattress and pillows. Other custoner were yelling, screaming and slamming their room doors until past midnight.

Nothing good to say. Had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check us in. We get to our room and it is a queen bed, we reserved a king. Went back to the desk, he said that was the only room he had, when I said we reserved a king, he said they were all given away. We were there promptly at 3 pm checkin time. He told me we could get a full refund and go somewhere else, or take the queen. I asked for a discount, he offered $20 off. I asked for $75 total, he agreed. The room was awful, carpet fraying, sink stained and cracked, you could see right through the door jamb to the hallway, front entrance floor was missing pieces, a trip hazard, parking lot was full of garbage, cigarette smoke coming into the hallway along with pot smoke. People yelling and arguing at all hours, constantly going out the exit door which was right by us, people outside arguing, constantly beeping their car horns when locking them, the bed was so close to the wall, my husband had to get out on the opposite side. Worst place ever.

Staff at reception very welcoming. Worked to change room to first floor room due to husband having heart surgery done next day.

I wouldn’t even give this a one star! We got to the hotel to check in, not a single employee in sight! Sat there for over an hr, trying to call, and make noise for someone to hear and no one was there. Office doors and important paperwork left for anyone to grab and read, security cameras left up for people to see. A man on some sort of drug was hanging out in one of the halls while the building was unsecured and unattended, We left and didn’t end up staying due to safety!

This property can definitely use an upgrade. The staff was helpful and accomodating. Nice budget friendly option if you need it.

The front desk girl was rude told us they were over booked and might not be able to check us in even though we already paid for the room she said there are many that they are not going to be able to occupy

Kim and the front desk team made the stay amazing. They were professional and thorough at what they did. Jenny, Miranda and second floor housekeeping are spectacular. They keep the rooms and halls clean and fresh. They have spectacular service.

Holes in Carpet. Cigarette burns on bed comforter. Sticky microwave. Not a good smelling hotel. Staff warned me that they had kicked out 2 of the meth addicts that had snuck in overnight. A bunch of them live in the bushes and an old shed near the side entrance. The staff instructed me to use front door because the area is not safe. I was concerned for the contents of my vehicle in the parking lot. The view outside my window was a broken bicycle and some stolen shopping carts. Do not book this location. It's gross, run down, and there is a higher risk of crime. There are better options within a reasonable driving distance. I do give credit to the staff for remaining on alert and reacting quickly.

Very run down. The front door had a bunch of people just standing around! Looked to be homeless.

Not the newest place and the room had some cleanliness issues but not bad. Breakfast was sparse and we ended up just going to burger king. Beds were comfortable shower was high pressure and hot.

The room smelt like cigarettes so bad i had an asthma attack.. clearly people smoke in the bathroom. I had to keep the door shut and the exhaust fan didnt work. Also no breakfast as stated, not even coffee.

This property provided just what I needed, a room to sleep in for the night. Nothing flashy or anything, but better than the other one I tried in town. Didn't have high expectations for breakfast, so I wasn't let down by the offering.
