The room was immense, about 800 square feet, yet there were only 2 tiny windows and neither could be looked out of. It was hard to stay warm up there in the mountains, as the heater was not adequate. The shower (on another floor) and toilet, were far away and apparently meant to be shared. The owners met us at check-in and were never seen again. So there was no one to ask questions about the area. The stairs to the first floor (and the shower) were steep and slippery and had no railing. It is simply a bizarre accommodation that I cannot recommend.

レストランの２階にある５部屋続きのワンフロアを１日１組（最大１０名）に提供すると言う少々変則的なホテルです。 オーナーは茶道の師匠で、奥の院に毎日献茶をされているとのことです。オーナーを含め、スタッフの皆様共に気配り、サービスが良いです。 小生は、一人で宿泊しましたが、ツインの部屋に＋和室が、襖で区切ることにより、４室作れるので、５人以上での宿泊に適していると思います。

Tucked away above the bar/cafe, this onsen was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very traditional in the Japanese style, and we had access to the entire area as we were the only guests staying on that night. The staff were completely lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets were well kept and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Koyasan. Definitely worth a visit!
