We reserved a king suite for the week. Perfect. Outside patio area, laundry, great coffee. We were impressed. Sensitive sleepers might want to bring your comfy pillow.walkable to old town area even though we walked over to the warf and aquarium area.

The stagecoach lodge was nothing more or less than what I expected. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very small but clean. I mention the room size as I had called ahead days before check-in to insure they had a wheelchair accessible room ( which was stated as an amenity). I had requested a double queen room so my husband and I had one and my disabled adult son had the other. Well, the beds looked more like full size and that turned out to be a good thing as my son's power chair barely fit in between the beds for a transfer. We had noticed later that the room next to ours had a lot more space and was also a double queen.Why not save that one for the person calling ahead requesting specific handicap accommodations? The attendant at the front desk assistant us the best he could with a makeshift ramp as there was about a four inch threshold at door making it difficult for my son's chair to enter the room. I just wish these hotels and motels would be transparent about their disabled accommodations. Especially when I call to confirm said accommodations. I realize not everyone understands the needs of a disabled person and that is why I call ahead. Oh well, one establishment at a time. One more thing and there is nothing to be done about it, just an FYI really but the parking area is very tight. I have a full size van and had to do 3 to 5 point turns to get in and out of parking space.I know my gripes are not for the average person so 5 stars for staff.

Clean, quite and spacious rooms. The outside of the property is cute and there is a nice patio area for guests. The pool is small and not heated (at least not very warm), but it is clean and well maintained. Staff helped us find a room when we arrived before check in time. Overall, a solid little motel.

Very close to MPC which was important to me. Convenient location close to highways and not too far from food. Safe, off street parking. Room decent and clean. Staff super friendly.

This property is very well maintained. It is super clean with really nice amenities. It had a nice little pool and a pretty outdoor lounge for guests. Really nice furniture and bathroom fixtures. Very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

The rooms were updated and everything was clean. Bathroom had granite shower and was very clean. Parking is safe and you don't have to worry about your car and belongings.

pros: clean, cold frig, comfortable bed cons: water did not get really hot, our room was by the washer and dryer and it was noisy(only for part of the day) parking entry was a little steep and narrow. overall a great place to stay and would stay again.

The hotel was great, easy to find, staff courteous and helpful. Close to the wharf and town. Pool was clean, well maintained, not heated.

Very quaint little motel, everything was spotless, the staff was very friendly. Close to the waterfront and the aquarium, Diver friendly, with a nice wash station. The only improvement they could make real cream for the coffee in the mornings.

This is a motel so I didn’t expect much, it went beyond my expectations as far as cleanliness is concerned, it's one of the cleanest places I've stayed including hotels like the Belagio and Wynn in Las Vegas. The staff was very friendly and helpful, a very nice stay.

Nice lodge, liked parking right outside our room, short drive to the many wonderful sights Monterey has to offer. Comfy bed, nice soft towels. Couple of negatives, the floor of our room although free from crumbs and dust was actually very dirty, our feet and white socks were black and we had to wash our feet before getting into bed. The bedding on one of the beds although clean was ripped. Overall it was a nice stay. Tips: there’s a liquor store just a few minutes walk away that is really reasonable!

Im writing this review to hopefully make up minds on whether to stay here or not. First time in the area, so was looking for something close to the wharf and aquarium and this place is near and not over $250 on a Friday. Was able to check in about an hour earlier, place is very clean. Beds were more on the firmer side which my husband loved but I prefer a more softer side. Room is nice and tidy, AC worked amazing. Bathroom and towels were clean. I’d definitely recommend and stay here again.

Nicely appointed room with the right amount of lighting, sufficient power points, quiet air conditioning unit, and drawers for storage.

Great affordable motel. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Only bad remark was poor wifi, I was often getting less than 1 mbps and my colleague simply couldn't connect most of the time. Not a place to stay if you are looking to do any work.

Grounds were nice, staff was nice, room was nice, BUT bed was very uncomfortable - after initially sinking in a soft 2 inches or so the bed was like a concrete slab. Also there is no elevator to the second floor rooms but staff will carry your luggage up. This is the second time we have stayed there because it is so close to where our daughter lives.

The soundproofing is so poor that you can hear people walking and talking on the second floor.

The property was fine, renovated and clean. However we were on the first floor and the noise from the room above came through the walls and ceiling like there was no insulation whatsoever. So, reserve on the 2nd floor. Also, there was no breakfast offered.

Beautiful and quiet area. Everything was nice and convenient. The only things that need a change are the beds. Very uncomfortable.

We had 2 reservations through expedia at Stage Coach Lodge. The first 3 night stay, expedia advertised the room that we paid extra for as 500 square ft and was maybe 275 square ft. Also the wifi in that room was not working. Was very disappointed with that.

It was ok. Bed was very hard.

Property was nice and well kept. Check in was fast and frontdesk was friendly and helpful. My only issue was internet. Whether it was my phone or my laptop. the internet was slow and kept cutting out for me.

The experience was awful. We ended up getting our flight delayed and missed our connection. We notified the hotel through the app and tried to call multiple times during their business hours before they closed. When we finally made it to San Francisco we called again. All I did was identify myself and said what do we need to do. We won't be making it tonight but still needed the room for other nights. Instead of talking to me the clerk ended up screaming and yelling, claiming that they had called and emailed multiple times and than swearing at us for being so rude. Then claimed that because we didn't contact them before 10 PM and once said 8 PM he just didn't care. He hung up on us. We have no record he ever called us and we called at 7 PM and sent the app email at 7:20 PM. Expedia also attempted contact on our behalf and never was able to get a hold of them.

The hotel is very close to the exit from Highway 1, and is about a 20 min walk to Fisherman’s Wharf. The manager on reception was very friendly and helpful, and gave us good recommendations. I would certainly be happy to stay at the Stagecoach again if I was in Monterey.

We were clear about a room request in writing weeks before arrival. We arrived to find that the staff didn't do what they said they would. We were told the only available room was the worst one in the hotel. The front desk put a manager on named Ronald who rudely and pushily told me to "take it or leave it" and they'd refund us if we left. No apology, no empathy. No interest in trying to positively work things out. After a few minutes another room became available which worked well enough. On checkout, Ronald attempted to apologize. Considering how rude he was to us, it was a little too little too late. That said, this is a nice property and we'd return again, crossing fingers that they don't mess up our reservation request.

We booked a month in advance, were three days off on our reservation dates, tried to change it 30 minutes after booking with both the hotel and Expedia. We had no success and ending up paying $284 for dates we could not use. The hotel had availability on the dates we wanted but told us we had to make the changes through Expedia. Expedia told us that they contacted the hotel but that it has "a strict cancellation policy" and we were out of luck. Granted I made the initial mistake but a little flexibility on the part of the hotel would have been appreciated.

The young man at the front desk was great when we checked in. friendly and gave us recommendations for restaurants that were all great. very helpful.

The hotel was not too far from downtown Monterey and was easy to find and park at. It was relative cheap too for its location.

The staff was very friendly and the grounds were clean. It is an average hotel room. We felt very safe in the area. It is about a 10-15 minute drive into Monterey Bay/Cannery Row/Aquarium which was great for us as we did not want to be staying in the thick of people. We loved the location and found it was very easy to get around. Would definitely stay here again

Good property in a nice neighborhood close to the NPS. Clean and updated room. Staff was helpful and friendly but is not 24/7. If you are checking in late or checking out early, then you will need to call and make arrangements. The beach is about a 15-min walk through a safe feeling neighborhood. I would stay again.

was a great option for me to stay 2 nights on a business trip. Walking distance to convention center. Rooms are very clean and in excellent condition. Bathroom was very clean too. Complimentary Pitts coffee pods will make your morning brighter!

Very convenient for the Monterey Jazz Festival shuttle location. Room was clean and quiet. Staffing at office a bit irregular in early and late hours, if you do a late check in they charge an additional $25. Could add some muffins or pastry for mornings, currently only coffee and tea. All in all, a pleasant stay with full satisfaction.

I liked the location and cleanliness, but wish they offered breakfast.

My Stay at Stage Coach in was very enjoyable. It is very convenient to where I conduct business. The location is quiet and the hotel is clean and comfortable. I appreciate the good internet connectivity through the WiFi access point. Daily room cleaning was done well and the coffee service and towels were replenished.

Came just recently with family and it was great! I would definitely stay there again. Very close to DT Monterey and the aquarium. The room had wood floors and the beds were comfortable. Next time I’ll bring more pods since there was a Kurig machine.

Quiet. Easy access to everything. Friendly staff. Pool. Sufficient room size. Bring coffee creamer.

The property was very cute. Conveniently located. Check in was easy. Service was great. Room was surprisingly equipped with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. Definitely would stay here again :)
