Beautiful hotel - decor and staff and restaurant Set in stockbridge with loads to see out and about

A beautiful period property and not looking tired at all. Booked a courtyard doggie room to have the patio area (we didn’t have a dog) and the room with incredibly clean, no trace of a doggie. Looking out into the lawn was lovely. It did seem to draw children play and screaming and kicking balls so not quiet. Breakfast was plentiful. Dinner menu was rather limited to pub type dishes which was a shame but more than enough other eateries in the village. Would stay here again and thank you to the staff member who talked us through the history of the house, he came across very informative and proud.

Fun & friendly staff, Sarah on check in was fabulous, friendly and the perfect way to start our stay. Great rooms, lovely gardens, bar had great drinks and team too. Great amount of restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. Breakfast was as top notch too, delicious produce and couldn’t fault it.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Cannon room is beautiful with a stunning bathroom which housed a large roll top bath and double shower. The his and hers sinks were well appointed and stylish. The mattress was too soft for our liking however this is a matter of opinion and others may like it. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant at the hotel and were impressed with the presentation and service. The staff were very professional, polite and helpful and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The parking spaces made it stress free and the location perfect .We wish we had stayed longer!

Internet service worked OK. Our room was in a rear block on up a flight of stairs with no lift. There are "garden rooms" on the ground floor with french doors open to the garden with small patio areas. Request one of these to avoid stairs. Room had Nespresso coffee maker but no fridge for fresh milk, only those tacky plastic milk pods which was out of character with the stylish quality of the rest of the hotel. Restaurant quality of food is outstanding.
