The grounds and the hotel were absolutely beautiful! Easy to walk to the train to get to the city center (if you use the train be aware of the schedule, the trains are NOT often). The bathroom and a shower were marvelous after a week of hiking on the Isle of Skye. The mattress was only complaint. Felt old and there are people divots on both sides of the bed. The room was clean and quiet. The bar downstairs elegant. Lovely and stay!

The hotel was beautiful, but it’s in a much more urban environment than the photos will lead you to believe. The grassy area of the grounds is smaller than a tennis court. They also had a charity ball the night we were there in an event space directly below our room, and the music kept us up well past midnight. Not particularly romantic as a result.

Lots of stairs and no lift, but a beautiful place. Upgraded our room to a suite so had tons of room. Staff was very polite and helpful.

We had a lovely stay in an executive room, which was not part of the actual castle itself, but just down some steps outside. Check-in was easy, communication was great. We opted not to eat there, but all meals could be had on site, along with a bar and sitting area. The space was large and beautiful, as was our room. TV connection was absolutely terrible, but not a deal breaker. Parking was tight, but also manageable. Out back behind the building was a little dirty and smelly, but to be expected by any business. Overall amazing stay, and would stay again in the future.

I stayed in one of the Executive rooms overlooking the garden. Room was huge! Bathroom was spacious too. Quiet street, easy parking, beautiful facade. Bed was comfy, slightly on the stiff side. Pillows were good. Check in and check out were flawless!

This is a wonderful place to stay in Glasgow! Courteous staff and delicious food in the dining room. So clean and quiet. Free parking on site. Close to parks and restaurants. Easy access to the motorway. Highly recommend!

The staff was amazing, helpful, friendly, and responsive. However our room was dirty, there were stains/dirt on the sheets, comforter, and pillows. The building is quite old and the inside needs an update. All the furniture and carpets look old and over worn/used.

Beautiful and the owner helped us with our luggage to the train station. The food was amazing and the staff were fantastic! Rooms were spacious and clean and the charm was amazing! We loved everything about it!

Nice hotel. Lovely staff. Quiet. Somethings need upkeep and attention to, such as window locks and carpet in the room is looking dated etc., but overall it was a pleasant experience.

Average at best, the king sized room we stayed in was not 4-star quality by any means. Uncomfortable bed, outdated room, and weird random iron burn on the carpet that hadn’t been fixed. The proximity to the airport and the waitstaff at breakfast were very nice, but I wouldn’t stay again.

The main castle is beautiful from the outside but I only saw the inside as far as the reception desk because our room was a “Garden “ room which was outside the castle, across parking and into the basement of another building completely. It was absolutely nothing special and I would have booked elsewhere had I known. So if you want to stay in the castle I recommend calling them directly to confirm. I fault the property owners for their unclear and frankly slightly sneaky advertising. It was a huge disappointment. I know I’m not the first to feel this way.

We stayed at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel for one night. While the staff were attentive and the service overall was good, and while we really enjoyed both the bar and the restaurant (excellent food – we highly recommend dining here), the room experience was a major letdown. We were in room 23 and can confidently say that rooms 21 to 23 are not worth booking. They are not located in the main castle building, and it is clear they were likely never intended to be guest rooms. • Ventilation: No air conditioning (which we understand, as it is not the norm in Europe), but also no proper ventilation. The air was extremely stuffy when we arrived. • Amenities: Outdated and sparse. No kettle, no tea. The cot provided for our 9 month old was essentially cardboard and completely uncomfortable, forcing her to sleep in our bed. • Bed quality: Extremely uncomfortable and uneven on both sides, resulting in a poor night’s sleep. • Location: These rooms face a parking lot, so they get little to no natural light and feel uninviting. To make matters worse, the photos on Expedia did not match the type of room we received. For a hotel advertised as four star, this was a real disappointment. Had we known, we would never have booked here. Thankfully, it was only for one night.

We had an amazing couple nights’ stay at the Sherbrooke. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at least once during our stay and every meal was deliciously prepared with sizable portions. The beef and ale pie was more than enough for both of us. The rooms are aged, but quite comfortable with a homey feel. The entire place is quite lovely and quaint. They took care in decorating for Christmas and really made for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back and stay again.

The grounds and the hotel were absolutely beautiful! Easy to walk to the train to get to the city center (if you use the train be aware of the schedule, the trains are NOT often). The bathroom and a shower were marvelous after a week of hiking on the Isle of Skye. The mattress was only complaint. Felt old and there are people divots on both sides of the bed. The room was clean and quiet. The bar downstairs elegant. Lovely and stay!

The hotel was beautiful, but it’s in a much more urban environment than the photos will lead you to believe. The grassy area of the grounds is smaller than a tennis court. They also had a charity ball the night we were there in an event space directly below our room, and the music kept us up well past midnight. Not particularly romantic as a result.

Wow, great stay in the castle! The grounds are beautifully maintained, staff friendly and helpful, and the surrounding neighbourhood is also lovely. Easy 5 min walk to grab quick 5-10 min train into downtown.

Average at best, the king sized room we stayed in was not 4-star quality by any means. Uncomfortable bed, outdated room, and weird random iron burn on the carpet that hadn’t been fixed. The proximity to the airport and the waitstaff at breakfast were very nice, but I wouldn’t stay again.

This is a wonderful place to stay in Glasgow! Courteous staff and delicious food in the dining room. So clean and quiet. Free parking on site. Close to parks and restaurants. Easy access to the motorway. Highly recommend!

Brilliant Hotel and Staff, extremely handy for shopping centres and rail link within walking distance. Wonderful evening meal and relaxing bar area. Definitely be back.

Very nice room and staff. Large, spacious room. Room was warm and cozy when we came in which was great since it was raining and chilly all day. Room service was quick and very good! Crème brûlée is a must!

We had an amazing couple nights’ stay at the Sherbrooke. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. We ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner at least once during our stay and every meal was deliciously prepared with sizable portions. The beef and ale pie was more than enough for both of us. The rooms are aged, but quite comfortable with a homey feel. The entire place is quite lovely and quaint. They took care in decorating for Christmas and really made for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back and stay again.

We stayed at Sherbrooke Castle Hotel for one night. While the staff were attentive and the service overall was good, and while we really enjoyed both the bar and the restaurant (excellent food – we highly recommend dining here), the room experience was a major letdown. We were in room 23 and can confidently say that rooms 21 to 23 are not worth booking. They are not located in the main castle building, and it is clear they were likely never intended to be guest rooms. • Ventilation: No air conditioning (which we understand, as it is not the norm in Europe), but also no proper ventilation. The air was extremely stuffy when we arrived. • Amenities: Outdated and sparse. No kettle, no tea. The cot provided for our 9 month old was essentially cardboard and completely uncomfortable, forcing her to sleep in our bed. • Bed quality: Extremely uncomfortable and uneven on both sides, resulting in a poor night’s sleep. • Location: These rooms face a parking lot, so they get little to no natural light and feel uninviting. To make matters worse, the photos on Expedia did not match the type of room we received. For a hotel advertised as four star, this was a real disappointment. Had we known, we would never have booked here. Thankfully, it was only for one night.

Stayed for one night without breakfast. Room was a good size and shower was good. Surprised no flannels in the bathroom and had to request teabags and milk as there were only 4 coffee pods and 1 packet of hot chocolate in the room. The hotel is listed as luxury and at 250 ponds for 1 night without breakfast I was dissapointed

This was someone's home that they modeled into a castle, just a forewarning, if you're looking for history - there isn't any. But the service was beyond stellar, the bed was super comfy and the shower was outstanding! This is not in a walkable part of town. But the restaurant was lovely and the bar keep was incredibly inviting at 10:30 pm when our bodies were on a different time zone.
