Really enjoyed our stay here, we only stayed for 3 nights but the views were amazing! Very well placed on the lake. Very clean. Check staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Small criticism would be pool area where the sun lounges are is not very big and found it hard to get a seat. Some brilliant restaurants near by. Also wasn’t aware you had to pay extra for parking so bit surprised when we checked out.

Breakfast was adequate but was under staffed. Rooms were very small and the air conditioning didn’t work properly so the room was warm. The walls were all painted a dark brown which made the rooms and corridors very dark and oppressive. That being said the hotel staff were friendly and the pool and access to the lake was great. It is a beautiful location right on the lake and easily walkable to the main piazza so all in all I would recommend.

Conveniently located right in front of Lake Orta with lake access. Lovely pool (did not use however). Comfortable room. Parking is tight to get into. Loading and unloading area. Walkable to main center. Shower and bathroom a little outdated. Breakfast buffet was average.

This is a lovely hotel with the stunning backdrop of the lake. The staff are friendly and helpful (I especially enjoyed chatting to the man at reception who helped to locate my boyfriend’s hat). We dined there once - it is fine dining. It is very handy for everything in the village. The pool area is nice and did not get too crowded. There are also other nice seated areas with gorgeous vistas onto the lake.

Fantastic location - great room overlooking lake and swimming pool. Staff very attentive . Only downside very noisy one evening with a group of people using the pool in the early hours they finally finished at 03.00am not what I expected of such an up market hotel

The hotel has easy parking, a nice restaurant and bar and a lovely pool area. The staff were helpful and polite. It is within walking distance of the shops, main square and mini golf. I would happily stay at the Hotel San Rocco if I ever return to the lakes.

The hotel overall is an amazing property with outstanding views. A very nice front desk guy Cande "Papi" helped me a lot and was very diligent to try to give an excellent service. I had an upgrade do that the AC wasn't working in the room I was assigned to. Breakfast was very good and the Capuchinos were amazing. Bathroom ok, but dirty dirty shower.

Fabulous location in the town centre! The hotel is in a beautiful property on the water with a nice pool and overall great atmosphere. Rooms were too small though versus the price and cleanliness standards could’ve been much better.

Our lake view room was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. I am GF and a basket with bread, muffins, cornflakes was provided every day. Orta is a lovely town with good access to boats and lots of different restaurants.

Pas de clim dans la chambre par temps de canicule, remplacé par un ventilateur car hôtel complet. Changement de chambre pour les autres nuits mais chambre plus petite et salle de bain non nettoyée à notre arrivée. Pas de proposition d'acte commercial pour compenser les désagréments.... dommage.

Emplacement incroyable management pitoyable. 80 % de l'hôtel n'avait pas de climatisation nous avons changé 2 fois de chambre pour différentes raisons l'accès au lac qui est la raison principale du choix de l'hôtel n'est absolument pas existant il manque en effet un minimum une échelle. Une des chambres avait une douche tellement petite qu'on ne pouvait même pas se retourner dedans. La chambre n'a jamais été faite . Quelle tristesse de voir un hôtel qui pourrait être superbe avec un entretien si moyen. Le niveau des collaborateurs n'est absolument pas homogène on sent cruellement un manque de management.

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, el cuarto estuvo espacioso y el baño confortable. En la tarde/noche el agua caliente no funcionaba y era imposible apagar el aire acondicionado o controlarlo. Hacia frio en el cuarto . pero encontre una cobija para la noche. No hay lamparas que permiten leer en la cama. La TV con solo 2 canales de info en francés, ninguno en ingles. La comida del restaurante realmente mala y el servicio no muy simpático. El desayuno mucho mejor. Me esperaba en general a un servicio mucho mejor para el costo del cuarto . Los técnicos (agua/AC/TV) muy amables pero sin poder hacer gran cosa para remediar a estos problemas.

Great location- five minute straight path to the main piazza. Overall the room was clean & comfortable. Beautiful mountain/lake/pool view. Only complaint - the mattress was awful. So old and indented that I actually woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was going to roll out of the bed onto the floor.

Beautiful setting on Lake Orta. Loved the location. Easy walk to town and to catch a ferry to explore. Disappointed with wifi since signal was not strong in rooms. Restaurant food was ok, but not great & very pricey.

Einzigartig ist die sehr schöne Lage des Hotels, sehr schön waren unsere ansprechend renovierten Zimmer mit Blick auf die Insel. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Pool direkt am See groß genug, um richtig schwimmen zu können. Die (Gourmet-)Küche ist ausgezeichnet, besonders die Nachspeisen fanden wir sehr kunstvoll. Wunderschön sind auch Terrasse und Bar direkt am See mit wunderbarem Blick. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Nur das WLAN hat nicht gut funktioniert, das mag eventuell von dem einen oder der anderen als störend empfunden werden.

Not great value for money, trying to be 'contemporary' but comes across as basic. dark, dingy and cave like. Toilet ridiculously close to the wall, just take the bidet out (very 1970s!) Rain shower head close the wall so you have to squeeze up to the wall for water... take out the baths and out shower trays in. Put some art on the wall, paint it white and then you can charge the price you do! Staff lovely and really helpful, came straight away to try and sort the air conditioning, and brought a fan - just the AC not great I think.

Firstly location 10/10 - but a lot of small stuff really annoyed us during our stay We booked a room with balcony, we didnt get that - they just said all rooms didnt have this. We got renovated room but, keycard/doorlock didnt work, fridge didnt work, aircon didnt work - we got a new nice room and overall the service was great. Pool area is really tired! The breakfast setup really sucks, everybody is cramped together in a little room, you can not bring your plate outside. With a few modifications this hotel could be an absolute diamond

Das Personal war sehr nett, aber nicht sehr kompent. Erst ein Zimmer ohne Seesicht erhalten (so gebucht), dann ein Zimmer in dem die Klimaanlage nicht funktionierte, wieder alles umräumen... den Voucher von VIP gar nicht gekannt, aber dann auf Nachfrage den Parkplatz gratis gegeben. Frühstück gut, Lage sehr schön.

The Front desk staff and car parking assistants were absolutely fantastic- very friendly and incredibly helpful. Any issues we had when we arrived were dealt with by people who could have known us all our lives- humorous, energetic and kind. So, a big thank you to them all. Sitting next to and swimming in the cleanest lake in Europe is a real privilege- Lake Orta is a wonderful examplar of the power of modern science to “ clean up” the pollution caused by previous centuries of burning stuff! Lake Orta is a beacon of optimism for the future of our planet. Soon this world will be cleaner and better than it has been for thousands of years. I honestly can't find anything to complain or not figure what could be better, compared to price. The location is awesome right in the village and the outdoor terrace is the greatest place to have glass of wine or enjoy lunch! But the service is something to mention! I had couple extra requests related to transportation and check out procedures and everything was taken in a most polite and helpful way. Francesco at the reception is the man! 💪 The room also was super nice. Old building of course but nicely renovated to this day. My highest recommendations to this hotel whenever staying at lake Orta 👍

Breakfast was adequate but was under staffed. Rooms were very small and the air conditioning didn’t work properly so the room was warm. The walls were all painted a dark brown which made the rooms and corridors very dark and oppressive. That being said the hotel staff were friendly and the pool and access to the lake was great. It is a beautiful location right on the lake and easily walkable to the main piazza so all in all I would recommend.

This is a lovely hotel with the stunning backdrop of the lake. The staff are friendly and helpful (I especially enjoyed chatting to the man at reception who helped to locate my boyfriend’s hat). We dined there once - it is fine dining. It is very handy for everything in the village. The pool area is nice and did not get too crowded. There are also other nice seated areas with gorgeous vistas onto the lake.

Really enjoyed our stay here, we only stayed for 3 nights but the views were amazing! Very well placed on the lake. Very clean. Check staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Small criticism would be pool area where the sun lounges are is not very big and found it hard to get a seat. Some brilliant restaurants near by. Also wasn’t aware you had to pay extra for parking so bit surprised when we checked out.

So old and indented that I actually woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was going to roll out of the bed onto the floor.

It's located on the waterfront of Lago D'Orta, and Isola San Guilio in an eye shot distance. Nice vista on the lake. The property is well maintained and the staff are very helpful. I fee like this area better than Lake Como in which is less touristy and more quiet and better for relaxation

El hotel esta muy bien ubicado, el cuarto estuvo espacioso y el baño confortable. En la tarde/noche el agua caliente no funcionaba y era imposible apagar el aire acondicionado o controlarlo. Hacia frio en el cuarto . pero encontre una cobija para la noche. No hay lamparas que permiten leer en la cama. La TV con solo 2 canales de info en francés, ninguno en ingles. La comida del restaurante realmente mala y el servicio no muy simpático. El desayuno mucho mejor. Me esperaba en general a un servicio mucho mejor para el costo del cuarto . Los técnicos (agua/AC/TV) muy amables pero sin poder hacer gran cosa para remediar a estos problemas.

Einzigartig ist die sehr schöne Lage des Hotels, sehr schön waren unsere ansprechend renovierten Zimmer mit Blick auf die Insel. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit, der Pool direkt am See groß genug, um richtig schwimmen zu können. Die (Gourmet-)Küche ist ausgezeichnet, besonders die Nachspeisen fanden wir sehr kunstvoll. Wunderschön sind auch Terrasse und Bar direkt am See mit wunderbarem Blick. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Nur das WLAN hat nicht gut funktioniert, das mag eventuell von dem einen oder der anderen als störend empfunden werden.

The property location was great and the room and breakfast were good. The only issues were that the air conditioning wasn’t working throughout the hotel and we weren’t made aware of this. It was only when we got to the room and tried it that we found this out. We were given a fan to use but the room was very hot. Had the potential to be great, but the bathroom had a leak. We reported it and the response was that we had the shower curtain on the outside of the bath, which was of course was nonsense. Our mistake - we assumed we’d be able to get a taxi or uber from train station to hotel but no. The hotel organised the tourist train to collect us, which was good. Getting to the station on checkout was an issue - in the end the hotel organised a taxi from another town to take us the 10minute drive at a cost of 70euros!
