Econo Lodge Burlington I-40

This is a good hotel for anyone who is working in the area. It has large parking area where trucks and other equipment can be located without blocking the parking for regular cars.

Please remove this property from your site. The items are outdated, the doors looked as if someone could easily walk in on you. It wreaked of pinesol, had no elevator. Just don't stay here. I thought the other reviews were exaggerating they're not...I did not feel comfortable staying I walked in saw the room and walked out.

Parking was great

They didn’t have breakfast, and the pool was out of commission. They claimed that renovation stopped breakfast services, and the pool had a crack on a pipe.

Price was reasonable. Area was quiet

Is very close to an Interstate exit and several fast food operations. Staff was helpful, especially when we could not figure out how to turn on TV in our first-floor accessible room. That room was large enough though sparsely furnished and did have all the necessities. Refrigerator kept food quite cool. AC was fine and sufficiently quiet. Did not use small microwave. Hallways looked clean and not unduly worn. Exits well marked. However, this is an aging facility and there were numerous signs of wear in the room and even at check-in; perhaps the loss of revenue during the pandemic had prevented good maintenance for awhile. Large pool was covered and unavailable. I found my bed comfortable, not always the case when I use motels. Noise from overhead occupants during the night disturbed my wife; I only noticed minor creaking as they walked. Unfortunately the good-size bathroom (where everything we used operated fine) had some crawling bugs. As the room is adjacent to a main entrance, that may have only occurred by infiltration from opening that outside door. The hall water fountain (which I used) and vending machines appeared as they should. The facility has a one-way drive around that took a little getting used to. There are two parking areas, the one behind being quite large. In all, as an economy motel it was sufficient, but I hope the owner will address the aging and have it periodically treated to prevent any presence of bugs.

Had a newly renovated room. The rest of the hotel is currently under renovation.

Reservation was for handicapped, there were no elevators and they placed me on the second floor.Carpet was torn and lifted up, sheets had cigarette burns shower was in disrepair. There is an oder in this place that will make your eyes water. You can’t get assistance at the front door and will have to walk around even if you are handicapped.

The lobby, hallways, and our room all had terrible smells. Our room was in great disrepair with crumbling and peeling walls, water damage to the ceiling above the shower, and a filthy bathroom outlet. The smoke detector was hanging by a wire. I do not recommend this hotel and would never stay there again. It is the worst hotel I have ever visited.

The property is horrible the sheets are dirty, the rooms are infested with bedbugs and roaches, the workers are rude and they go in your room when you’re not there take things out of your room. They reuse sheets that are dirty. My stay here was terrible and I wanted my money back the first night I was there and was told I couldn’t get a refund even though I was getting bitten by bugs. The hotel smells really bad. The breakfast was horrible some items were out of date. This hotel needs to be demolished.

I went to the hospital itching in all my body not clean at all bugs everywhere

The building smells of a smell I can’t even pronounce! It’s infested with bed bugs and roaches and I was supposed to get a refund because I didn’t stay there and I still didn’t get my money back yet

The room was filthy, the space under the AC had not been vacuumed, the shower walls had not been cleaned there was scum all around. Not only that but there was roaches in the room, had to check out and hotel didn’t want to reimburse me for the inconvenience. Would not stay there again

The room had roaches and bed bugs, mold in the ceiling and peeling paint, the pillows inside the cases were dirty as well. But you get what you pay for

The whole hotel smells of cigarette smoke. There were roaches crawling on the walls in my room.

I'm not one to usually leave bad reviews and I am also not one who needs the most luxury but the Econo lodge was rough. The smells were awful, sketchy people hanging around all over the lobby and halls, bugs in the bathroom, uncomfortable bed, breakfast not active and wifi also not working the entire time. Very uncomfortable all around, I would highly recommend not staying here ever

The stay was comfortable, clean, and safe. The only issues I could see people having with the property is the damaged furniture. I stayed in room 269 and two of the lights did not work well (flickered on and off), the tub had nicks in it that made it look filthy, and the mattress was so worn on one side it felt like a sinkhole. Overall was a nice and comfortable one night stay. Nothing fancy, but was a cozy bed to sleep in.

The front desk agent was really nice and professional. The room was clean but out dated, patches on wall. Funny smelling odor in hallway and room.

The wall paper was peeling, ceilings were peeling. The tiles in the bathroom were broken and the grout was missing. Parking was easy, the employee was very nice. This place smelled like its age.

I like the parking right by my room, the big TV, microwave, and fridge, but the room we were in had bugs. We were given another room, it had bugs also. The tub was stopped up and no one came to fix it when I let the front desk know. Very disappointing,

Reminded me of a psych ward a little bit. There was a guy screaming at 4am about demons and walls are very thin- I could easily hear hallway conversations and my nextdoor neighbor. In the 48 hours I was there, cops were there 3 times, bugs crawling around, and transients banging on the window next to mine. The cops said there are lots of drug overdoses there. Excellent nightly rate tho!

This is a good business hotel. Tried the Internet for the first time, and it does not have the speed or bandwidth enable to allow people to use VPN or secure voice services.

It is a good solid, safe building, low noise, had the basics. I wasnt sure AC was working due to broken panel light and temp LED digit is out but the compressor finally kicked on and cooled .

They send housekeeping to knock on people's doors at 9- something am giving reminders to check out at 11am. It's unnecessary and disruptive.

Night manager refused service and I ended up getting kicked out without a refund. The next morning I spoke to the General Manager and an apology and refund was given. He said he watched the security video and the night manager was out of line.

No one was there when checking in. Waited around 10 min fir someone to show up.

The bathroom had cockroaches, only one towel. They sent me to a room and it was already occupied. I waited a long time for the room.

The staff was friendly.

Staff is wonderful Tee Tee at front desk was wonderful and very courteous my next stay will be here.

The night manager refused me servuce and I was constantly made to leave without a refund that night. The next day after reviewing the security video the General Manager call to apologize and issue a refund.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic, wonderful staff and very helpful. Tish was awesome assisting me with check out. Would definitely recommend this hotel for future travelers

Location is phenomenal right off of I-40. That’s where the goodness stops! As I walked up to the entrance I got quite a whiff of skunky pot. As I opened the 1st set of doors it grew stronger and as I stepped into the lobby it was overwhelming. Personally, I think the attendant had been smoking because his eyes were tiny little slits. I’m no expert tho. I am on a budget and the $64/night was about all that I could afford for this unexpected but necessary trip. I have stayed in budget places before tho that were so much better. The odor in the common areas reek of cigarette smoke! I had a none smoking room and the odor of cigarettes in the room is so strong. Walking down the hall or being in the stairwells, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming! 1st impressions of the room: The mattresses are so incredibly cheap and worn that there are indentations in them that you can see even with the bed made. The freezer in the fridge was frozen over with ice. The tub—there are no words!! there were HUGE cracks in the bottom of the tub and the finish on the surround is peeling and cracked all over. Also the bathroom vent is covered in dust and mildew. Upon locking up for the night—the deadbolt is hanging on by a thread. The fan on the ac was super loud and sounds like the alien music from the X-Files. There were cobwebs in the ceiling corners The grand finale of my visit was the roaches in the bathroom. I took pictures if you want to them. I DO NIOT recommend this hotel!

It's the cheapest around but u definitely don't get what you pay for rooms not clean roaches everywhere and I mean everywhere water damage nasty burn hole covers sheets and covers not vacuumed and the bathroom has never been mopped or the tub scrubbed I wore my flops in the shower it's cleaner in jail frfr but if u looking for a spot to trap or trick then the econo in Burlington is right for you and u better lock it doors car and room if u got a truck u better not leave anything on the back because it will not be there in the morning the homeless people are all over the place place bumming money and trying to come inside behind u so they can sleep in the halls it's

This place is bad and should be taken off the hotels.com website. There were bugs and it was dirty and in bad shape. Not a great part of Burlington either. I ended up with BEDBUGS!!! I had to go to Patient First to be diagnosed and treated. I am still waiting and hoping to get a full refund from hotels.com. I was booked for a 3 night stay and left after the first night.

I parked as close as I could to the door but the area was rough. There were several rough characters hanging around the property. The bath tub was cracked and felt like you may fall through. Parts of the ceiling were cracked and wet from an ongoing leak from the room aboves ac unit. I bought my own cleaning supplies and scrubbed everything. Had I not been exhausted and needed a place to stay for work I would have forfeited the no show money and went elsewhere!

Older hotel, Very Nice guy at check in, NO breakfast options in spite of being offered on web site

Everything is good rooms can be a little cleaner and fresher from the odors around here and the Wi-Fi definitely needs to be changed cause the Wi-Fi they use isn’t worth nothing and they could serve breakfast instead of coffee all day being it says breakfast included in the booking itinerary

After I made a three-day reservation, I read some terrible reviews. They concerned bugs, soiled sheets, and overall uncleanliness. Almost made me cancel. But I didn't find any of that. The only downside to my stay was not having breakfast. There is a sign at the coffee service indicating continental breakfast...didn't happen. Other than that, good experience.
