Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Chester by IHG

Room was not clean - both carpet and sofa had multiple stains. The hallways and elevator were not airconditioned. The water in the pool was not clean, and kids refused to swim there.

The pool water was very dirty. I couldn’t see a foot deep because it was so murky. This was disappointing as the pool was one of the major selling points of this hotel. My son was very disappointed because he was not able to use the pool. It was disgusting.

The pool was absolutely unacceptable. You couldn’t even see the bottom and it’s only 4ft! I was very disappointed because it would have otherwise been a pleasant stay

Swimming pool water was not clear. Temp was cold. Area was poorly lit. It was obvious however how dark the water was when the lights did finally come on. Hotel was not the cleanest. Close to castle fun. Staff was uninviting with the acception of a breakfast staff member who donated a great personality. She was helpful and kind. Breakfast food was good. Many options. Area is also loud with traffic.

The hotel was great, but I specifically booked it for the pool for my children, and for two days of our 4-day trip it was closed. Other wise a nice location and I would return again.

This was not a clean hotel at all. The shower head was installed wrong and the water was going behind the wall. I wonder how much mold there was behind that wall. The pool water was horrible, it was so cloudy. Never coming back.

Clean room, safe parking with bright street lights around the building and very clean exterior as well. Staff were friendly and respectful. Definitely recommend and returning.

Wonderful place to stay. The breakfast was delicious, the only thing probably the small pool too much chlorine and too close, and they don't have enough towels

We were welcomed with a smile and had a quick check in and out. Our room was fresh & clean and we were given extra towels upon request quickly and without issue. Breakfast offered a wonderful variety of eggs, meat options like sausage and bacon, pastries, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, pancakes and our favorite cinnamon rolls 😋. We definitely recommend if you are in the area to check out the Chester Holiday inn Express & Suites.

Bedding had stains. Washer and dryer room for cleaners were next to us on the first floor. Terrible all you heard all night was the dryer. Metal was found in my cup after using the ice machine and water near pool area. Note staff did shut it down. Pictures online to real life totally off. Food was okay wish there were more things to choose from. Cleaning staff brought children everyday to eat and stand around so unprofessional. Over all 5.8 out of 10.00

I have traveled to 32 countries on business and holiday. Needless to say, my standards for a hotel property are very high. This hotel was a very pleasant experience. Well-maintained property, impeccably clean, comfortable rooms, nicel layout, and a generous amount of various power outlet types. What was more amazing was the price-point ... Extremely modest for the accommodations.

Shower was moldy and heat and AC unit was all smashed but worked breakfast was good they did a great job on breakfast

Room was on side of building that abuts the highway so there was constant traffic noise all night,and was told they were all booked so could not relocate me. Was also told they were short staffed so once checked in there would be no room service during my stay. Found hair in the bathroom sink and shower area.

Very clean and breakfast was worthy.

The exterior and lobby are beautiful and clean. The breakfast also had many options. Our room was sub-par. There was a white powder on the arm of our couch, stains in the floor, and what honestly looked like blood spattef on the ceiling. Hoping it was just our room but kind of creeped us out a bit.

We booked a suite and it was very big. We were happy with the room and how close it was to sugar loaf performing arts center.

Traffic noise was constant. Tiles in the bathroom moved when walked on. One Window blind was ripped and the blackout blind wouldn't stay in the channel. The microwave plate wasn't the right one, it was too big and had a different center fitting for the spinner which meant the plate wouldn't rotate.

Plumbing was not great. Toilet gets clogged and sink drain slow

The staff was amazing! Soon as we arrived the front desk person was very nice, There was no waiting to check in. We were checked in and got our room key. Not so happy about the room and for the price for 2 nights I expected better. We were given a room in the second floor facing the front of the hotel. There was a road nearby so we could hear when cars were passing by.you could also hear the engine of the bikes that belong to some people staying at the hotel.The room when we arrived was a bit cold and when I went to change the Temp the thermostat was not working. Hated that we did not have control of the room temp. The room had a bit of a musty smell to it and there was a bit of light dust.By the second day of our stay my family who all have allergy issues woke up with stuffy noses and throats hurting. Loved that there were dining options and shopping options nearby so we were able to grab some meds from the Walgreens nearby for the rest of our stay. The room was clean but, in the bathroom you could see a bit of mold in certain areas. Not much but enough that I could notice it. They also didn’t provide toothpaste or mouth wash like most hotels do. But no big deal we had our own. Thank god!Really liked the free breakfast. The staff no matter where you went was always nice and asked if everything was okay. Also loved that housekeeping was done while we were out at LEGOLAND which was a 10min drive from the hotel. Other than that our stay was okay.

My hotel room need alot work.

Nice and up to date. Room was good. Bed was comfortable. Didn’t try pool. Maybe a little overpriced but generally good.

Great experience at this property from the ease of finding it and the parking. The check in was so quick and efficient. Front desk clerk Lauren was such a breath of freash air after a long drive in from Florida.

Front staff very professional and knowledgeable. Very welcoming. Accommodated our request for 2 rooms next to each other even though we checked in later in evening.

Danielle at the front desk was WONDERFUL!!! She was so hospitable, kind and accommodating. I’ve been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and it is rare to find a gem like her. Thank you to Danielle and her crew for making our experience exceptional!!!

Initially, I was not given the room w/ 2 queen beds. It was 1 king & a couch. After complaining, I was given a 2 QB room. Around 11:30pm someone tried to get to my room twice. I disregarded thinking that it was just a mistake. Around 1:30am, I heard a knock on my door and someone saying “front desk”. I disregarded. Five minutes later, again. This time I got up and looked through the door hole, I just saw someone waking away. Around 20m later, once again someone from fronts desk knocking at my door. Thinking that it may be emergency , I opened the door. I was the the front desk clerk just to ask my last name. Of course I couldn’t go back to sleep, and my whole next day at legoland was ruined. Total violation of our right to privacy.

Rooms were nice and clean. little hiccup with toilet was able correct. Wish the breakfast was little longer wasn’t able to try it. At check in we waited little while gentlemen was little rude. Check out lady was the sweetest she greeted asked how our stay was ?.

The room was very noisy. The location of the hotel in next to a highway. Windows need improvement to help

The property is nice, near to Legoland, grocery, and fast foods.

Conveniently located from Legoland and Woodbury Commons

It was close to Legoland, which was the intended purpose for my stay.

Hotel staff were great gave us lots of info on area, shopping, dining, entertainment. room was nice and comfortable nice and bright well cleaned. breakfast on the first day was lacking options. no oatmeal muffins fruit. the second day it was fully stocked. Location is right off the highway so you do hear the traffic but nothing that a fan could drown out. only a 7minute drive to legoland within walking distance there is a Movie theater grocery store.

Some areas could use a little updating. But I would stay here again. Location is great. Off a nearby highway, close to Woodbury Outlet Mall. Close to some fast food, and pharmacies.

locate in a quiet area but close to a hwy exit. 15 mins drive to Woodbury Common Outlet. There is a CVS, gas station and some food options available. Taco Bell / Burger King next door.

It's a great property. Very safe and convenient to all highways. Staff are very nice and helpful.

Bkfst was good

Good overall, Gina at the front desk was amazing. So kind and helpful. Room needs more lights, just not enough. Pool was closed as being refurbished. Breakfast on some days was cold, eggs and sausage. Hair found in bathroom tub and On the floor. Pretty gross

It was an okay stay. The was a time where my keycards stopped working before we left. The breakfast was good but the first morning, there were some front desk employees kind of holding up a line in getting their breakfast before customers could get theirs. And the biscuits were not cooked all the way. It was a good stay. Not horrible. Not amazing.
