Hampton Inn Franklin

Great staff, very clean but needs updated.

Price was good. The property was not in good condition. Cracks in ceiling bad smell in hallways and not up to what you would expect from a Hampton

Mini fridge did not work. Air conditioner did not cool properly. Parking was limited. Area was sketch.

I reserved this through Expedia and it does NOT state ANYWHERE on the Expedia Site that the POOL IS CLOSED FOR THE 2025 SEASON.

NO POOL this is now my second hotel that says there is a pool and when you check in they said Pool closed. and don't plan on fixing it. It is sad all the pools closed in the summer!!!!

Our primary reason for choosing this hotel and particular room was for the pool and the whirlpool tub. Up on arrival we saw a sign that said the pool was being closed permanently. The manager said they have informed hotels.com of this since Feb. I stressed to them that the whirlpool tub was a must because of my husband's back issues and after traveling for so long, he would need that. We get to the room and the jets won't even come on!!

Upon checking in, I was made aware that the pool was not up and running. No mention of this fact when I made the reservation. I had some very unhappy occupants.

Hotel was pretty clean. You can definitely tell it was an older place. Overheard staff ask another employee had they cleaned a room said he'd stripped beds for them bathroom looked clean you can probably skip it, not something you want to over hear.

Halls and rooms could use some updating. Noticed a unpleasant smell when exiting the elevator on third floor. Everything seemed relatively clean.

Property was clean and staff were nice and attentive. Construction going on outside the entry left white flakes everywhere that were blowing around outside and in the pool. Room was clean and comfortable but could use some updates/repairs.

The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was great. The facilities were very dated and felt dirty. The carpets throughout, particularly in our room, were all heavily stained and looked gross.

Stains on furniture, carpet stained in room and hallways. Furniture stained in lobby/eating area. Dirty towels hanging on door in bathroom. Just would have expected a much cleaner place considering it's Hampton Inn. They are usually a decent, mid-grade hotel. Staff was not very friendly or helpful when there was a mix up in how many rooms had been reserved.

The room was not that clean. The carpet was dirty and the bathroom needed remodeling drastically!!!

This hotel should take the bed in room 309 out to a field and burn it! It’s so hard, I couldn’t sleep well either night that I was there. My back was killing in the morning. We asked for the towels to be switched out and housekeeping never showed up all day. We were asked to bring our dirty towels down to the front desk to receive new towels for our second night’s stay. Why couldn’t they have brought them to our room instead? The fan in the bathroom is loaded with dust and the shower’s caulking is so dirty and gross. This hotel is not maintained well at all and needs a lot of work. The microwave was about 15 years old with a dial to set the time for heating. The fridge freezes waters if you use the fridge in the room. This place has a LOT of opportunities to improve!

At check-in, they charged us more than what Expedia said it would be. There was hair all over the wall of the shower. The front check-in person was rude. We were by the elevator and it was excessively noisy with children, running up and down the hall and then a lot of noise at the elevator.

It was a good place for a quick sleep and a decent breakfast. Absolutely adequate. However, the bathroom was a bit run down, and a sock had been left in the room from a previous tenant. Bed was comfortable. The area around the hotel was quite run down. The Sol Azetca restaurant next door had delicious takeout!

This property is fine. Reasonably priced and easy access. There is a good Mexican restaurant next door but other restaurants are across the highway so a bit inconvenient. Beds are comfortable, good pillows too. Room is clean enough but could be better.

Only complaint I have is room had no heat. It stayed 63 degrees no matter how high I turned thermostat.

I would stay again. The bathroom sinks are too high - needed a stool. Shower head hard to adjust.

TV only had a limited number of cable channels and no local network channels. Front desk person contacted the manager and blamed it on the cable company but the problem was not resolved before we left. Room was OK, clean and breakfast was good

I couldn’t sleep deeply because I heard the sound of a fan running late at night.

the property was close to the job site i was inspecting so the connivence to the job site was good, but being right next to I-65 there was a lot of noise. i found it hard to sleep.

Good for 1 night while you’re on the road. Certainly not a destination hotel. The thermostat appeared to be locked in at 74 degrees, so it was sort of an uncomfortable temp to sleep in

Stay was as it is said "short but sweet". One night - check in good and front desk was professional and helpful. Breakfast the next day was good - usual fare but hot. Coffee was excellent check out fast. All interior entrances to rooms. Highly recomnend

Made reservation on Expedia and paid with my credit card while driving in. New employee in training was nice but didn’t know what he was doing. Eventually he got me checked in. When I checked out the next morning I asked for a receipt but I didn’t look at it until later when I found out the receipt was for another guest. Then a few days later when I got to where I was going I found out that the hotel had billed my credit card for the room even though I had already paid Expedia. What is worse is that the rate that the hotel billed me for was almost $30.00 less than I paid Expedia. When I called to try to book the room directly with the hotel the rate they gave me was over $40.00 more than Expedia. After checking my credit card, reviewing the incorrect receipt, and then calling Brittany at the hotel I was told that a credit would be issued, which it was about a week later. It should not be that difficult to book a hotel room and to get the booking done right. Even though it all got straightened out, I feel cheated out of at least the time I wasted getting it straightened out. I’m not a fan of Expedia but when you can’t call a property directly and get a decent rate, guests are forced to use the booking services. I like Hampton Inn properties but this is the second time something like this has happened to me on a trip to Michigan. Once at this property and once at a property in Shepardsville, Kentucky.

Absolutely horrendous! This place is a dump! These days you’re happily surprised if you get normal customer service. This was the worst I’ve had in a while. Unprofessional and zero hospitality. I was here for a funeral, who would vacation in the armpit of Kentucky?! My toilet wasn’t flushing, and the maintenance person had left for the night, so the front desk person had the audacity to offer me a plunger, are you kidding?! So I was handed a disgusting plunger to try and fix it myself. The manager said I was lying about the toilet issue and threatened me that if I didn’t leave in 30 minutes, she was going to call the police. You get what you pay for. So if you are needing a hotel in Franklin for some godforsaken reason, just go ahead and book Spring Hill Suites. I will NEVER stay at a Hilton hotel again.

Our last trip my daughter left her watch. The staff we so helpful and accommodating. They mailed it to us with no hassle. Will definitely be staying again.

we arrived early due to the time change and our room wasnt ready. the front desk person checked us in and told us the room would be ready at 3:00. they had been full the night before and two people had quit that morning so rooms weren't cleaned. we left and came back at 3:10 and went to the room. there were three people in the hall cleaning rooms so we had to move our stuff back out (beds were made so we thought room was clean). we stood in the hallway and asked at least two different people three different times if there wasn't another room that was clean. no one answered and just blabbing about being full and two people quitting, finally a young lady came up and went through the whole thing again. we asked her if there wasn't another room that was clean and she said she would go downstairs and talk to her manager. we went downstairs with her..she was gone for a few minutes and then came back and told us to have a seat in the lobby. she did not come back to say anything about another room there was a lady standing out in front of the hotel smoking so when she came back in my husband went up to the desk and ask her about another room. she said that was the only room of the type we booked and it wasn't clean. my husband again said we didn't care what type room we had, we just wanted a room. her response...i'm sending someone up there right now to clean it. next day we saw ladybugs in room, front desk person response..."nothing we can do about ladybugs"

The hotel is now our common stop when we travel to Florida. The Mexican restaurant in the next lot is amazing and most importantly the coffee and bed is AMAZING. Thank you Hampton for always delivering what we expect!

At first glance I was a bit concerned because it's located right next to the interstate but with the A/C running, which we needed anyway we did not notice road noise. The room was clean and comfy. We thought the price was rather high but we've had terrible experiences with cheaper hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. It would be helpful for older people to have simple printed instructions about operating the TV, rather than scanning a QR code that some may not be able to do.

Very nice motel, good location, front staff was excellent, great cs. Close to restaurants nice rooms and good breakfast bar
